Rules:
1. Anybody may enter as many times as they like but may only win one.
2. Play nice and use common sense.
3. All characters will stay in the Mwezi'Johari unless a plot to take them out is approved by Ecavi.
How this works:
- Each character has a random number attached to their post, this is how their class and rank potential was determined. I am not going to tell you what they mean, it is up to you to figure out which class they are and indicate an appropriate rank choice for them on your form. Consider it a simple pop quiz and introduction to how the pride works. All were given normal rogue rolls.
- Read their info, fill in the form in their post and post it in this thread. Simple!
- Questions may be asked here or PMed to Ecavi. Asker's choice.

There is no plot attached to these characters, they run no risk of death. This is simply for fun!

 This lioness is an older gal and an original member of the Mwezi'Johari. She had a class and rank from before the pride split up after the war and, while she has been living as a rogue since, she will return to the same class and rank (if available) when she returns. The twins in the next post are her children but their father is not a member of this group.
After living for quite some time now as a rogue, she has heard where to find her old pride and is bring back her family and some friends with her.   These are two of the above lioness's children. They are almost twins (below his mane is a similar chest marking that was covered as he grew) and you will need a partner to enter for them.
They were born rogues but they are familiar with the religion and traditions of the Mwezi'Johari. Their mother insists they were born under a waning-crescent moon and has raised them as such. Name: Bala'tan
Meaning: "To remove from the shell" - Tagalog
Rank: Hunter (would like to train as a priest if a position is ever vacated)
Personality: Bala'tan's life has left her with a hard, slightly bitter edge, but one she tries to hide. She would much rather forget the years she spent being discriminated against, and wants to start with a fresh slate and live a full life in her new pride. She sees her high status in the Mwezi as a sign - she was meant to follow the Moon, the true Great Lion, and was right to abandon the sun. Bala'tan is known to the pride as a dutiful lioness who is a bit shy, especially around males, and they find her piety moving. Cubs also make her nervous.
Brief History Bala'tan was born in a pride that revered the sun, and especially valued light colored lions, for they reflected the rays of the sun. As a young lioness, she was not allowed to train in the rituals of worshiping the sun, because she had a "stormy coat" and the sun did not shine off her. Her pelt, inherited from a rogue grandfather, marked her as other in the pride; lionesses of stormy coats were said to have a certain reputation, and no male would take her for a mate - for surely a lioness with a coat like this had been with other males, and would break the bonds of marriage.
Bala'tan refused to act as they expected, rebuffing those who sought to take advantage of her, and left. She met the Sunny lioness who told her of a pride that revered the moon, and Bala'tan decided to accompany her and her children to that pride and try her luck there- what the sun had denied her, the moon might grant her.

STRIPEY BOY
Name: Ina'Kupigwa
Meaning: Has stripes (Swahili)
Rank: High class Hunter
Personality: Ina is a lion who enjoys providing for others. He's a male who enjoys a full meal, but hates it when others go hungry, so he will go out of his way to make sure that everyone has a fair share. Gentle and quiet, he's not particularly intelligent and at times can seem younger than he actually is. However, he works hard to try and make up for his shortcomings and is an eager contributor in the areas that he is good at. He hates laying around and doing nothing - this makes him nervous and he will start pacing. When he's genuinely upset by something, he will start sucking his paw like an overgrown cub, and will only stop when he realizes that he's doing it. Usually this has to come in the form of a verbal or physical rebuke, which embarrasses him to no end.
Brief History: Ina was the only cub in his mother's last litter. She was well into middle age when he was born and she passed away when he was barely a juvenile. His older half-sister took him in and kept him alive until adolescence, though to say that she raised him would be giving her too much credit. She alternated between neglecting and babying her brother, which resulted in his lingering cubhood habits and his overeager attempts to please. Unfortunately, once he hit adolescence, his now-adult sister had fallen pregnant, and rather than keep him with her, as she saw him as just another mouth to feed, she told him to go and make his own way in the world. Eager to please his sister, Ina did just that and never looked back.
Unfortunately, he was unprepared for life on his own. While he was a capable hunter and in no danger of starving, he couldn't handle the loneliness of life as a rogue, and attempted to attach himself to any other lions that he thought might accept him and give him the companionship that he longed for. Time after time this fell through, until he reached adulthood. By then he had almost given up hope, and was becoming desperate for a new home. Then he met up with the group that was traveling to the Mwezi'Johari, and offered to help hunt for them if they would let him come along.
He doesn't fully understand the concept of a pride yet, seeing it more as something of a large, extended family rather than a community divided into ranks and classes, but with a little bit of education and a lot of persistence, he will begin to understand it and will do his best to hold to the class that he is given after his initiation... as long as he can still find something to expend his energy on!

Name: Adara sā'iḍa
Meaning: Other Side
Rank: Priest (Historian) or Head Hunter (after being a hunter)
Personality: Cocky and self assured, Adara is happy to be back home in the pride. She has been tired of the rough life of a Rogue, and is excited to bring her children into the fold. Adara is proud of her heritage, and made sure that her children understood their place in the pride by their moon sign, as well as understood hers. She did not baby them, but she may have let them have more freedom than their caste deserved.
She can grate on the nerves, and can act like a nervous hen sometimes, but mostly she is pushy and bossy to those lower in caste, and sly and almost worshipful to those cast above her. She enjoys power and surrounding herself with those in power. Who knows what she will do to ensure her place in the pride.
Brief History Adara was one of the young cubs that lived in the pride before the last, vicious attack on the Mwezi'Johari. She fled as an adolescent into the wild, and has only recently returned when a rogue informed her that the pride was recovering slowly.
Going from pride-bound and higher class to a classless rogue was a tough transition on her. While she had been vain before, she twisted that to her advantage in the wild lands, flaunting her imagined status and power. It worked, keeping her two young cubs safe and keeping any potential threats at bay. Now, it's hard for her to separate her new self from her old.
She barely remembers the times before her mate came (and went), when she would spend the whole night with her back to a tree, trying not to fall asleep- a lone lioness is vulnerable to all manner of creatures beyond pridal boundaries...
Adara had been training as a hunter, hoping to become a historian eventually, when a position opened. She passed her knowledge of hunting onto her children, and would tell them stories of the prides past. In her mind, she deserves to be a historian now, or at very least the Head Huntress...

Meaning:Strong, resolute
Rank:Head Guard
Personality: As her name hints, the female is sturdy both physically and mentally. Her beliefs are static and change only when she deems it appropriate. She can never be controlled unless she willingly allows for it. The female is strong for other's sake. Preferring to protect and feeling useless otherwise. Protecting gives her purpose. While the female is pretty hardened and lacks much emotion, her demeanor blossoms only when she is preforming something she particularly loves (you can guess what). A majority of the time the fem retains the 'strong silent type'. Though she does have a soft spot for the weaker sort. Enjoying their company far more than someone who can care for themselves. She opens up to those who are ostracized or need protecting.
Brief History: Imara grew up as a rogue, so it made sense that her mother instilled a powerful personality type. Imara's mother didn't foster feeble dispositions for her cubs because to survive in the wild, only the strong survived. Imara was considerably more robust in comparison to her other brothers and sisters. She was in charge of acting as the shield for them when their mother was off hunting. Imara grew up conditioned to be a shield. A weapon. She enjoyed protecting her relatives, moreso when her mother praised her.
When the cubs came of age, the family split. Her brothers and sister's didn't need her protection anymore. The following months had the poor fem wandering aimlessly. She lacked purpose without protecting someone. It was around that time she met Sunny Gal and her two cubs. Imara isn't much of a follower, having grown up to be self sufficient to a degree and most definitely strong. Imara wasn't swayed by the Sunny Gal's talk of her tribe's practices... but the Sunny Gal's poor cubs left an impression. Having been described as pitiful creatures who needed extra protection due to their god's averted gaze, Imara was hooked. She had a calling. To protect the twins and all of the other unfortunate lower cast tribe's members.
