Today was the day for exploration and adventure, Chifundo decided. Well, as much exploration as a new pack hyena could have...adventure would be on the minimal side as well. She could sense a tenseness throughout the pack which made her a tad uneasy (and certainly less willing to talk to other hyenas than she would usually be.)
She was a shy girl. Most other members were very assertive, and not the kindest bunch she had met. Still, they had her gratitude, and in return she'd gladly service them anyway she could. But, for now, she ought to get to know the new lands.
So, the female set out...and found that the Mava'Bunda territory was as expected. Bones, bones, and more bones. Did she mention bones? They were all massive!
She sniffed some here, gnawed some there, scratched a few piles together and played a silly game with herself. For now that's all she wanted..keeping a low profile and staying out of everyone's way unless she was called on.

Nyoge growled as he rubbed his back into what he could only believe to be was a huge spine. Of bones, of course. That bit was expected in these lands, and Saar had never once been even a little wrong in calling it the land of bones. It was not the hill of bones or the area of bones, or even just the land of a few bones. There were large bones and tiny bones and even fat bones, though Nyoge could never have told you before that he'd ever seen a fat looking bone.
He twisted and turned and finally sat up, snarling as he hunched over and went at his neck with a hind paw. The damn fleas. If only they were as easy to escape as Saar's company! Though he knew the other hyena would be looking and calling for Nyoge soon enough. It wouldn't matter, Nyoge would deal with it when the time came. Saar may have been unpredictable and flat out insane, but he was special. He was also Nyoge's, as far as Nyoge was concerned. He cackled at the thought, his limbs finally settling when sudden relief came from the nasty biters crawling about his fur.
Just then his bright gaze caught sight of a female, and for a while he watched her do what she wished with the bones. He was bored very quickly with her activity though, deciding it was better if he'd share his company with her. From what he could tell she seemed almost playful, batting those bones around as she did. He moved along the spine, heading for the ground. "Oh girl!" He called, his voice almost friendly sounding. "Hasn't anyone ever told you that the beauty of a game is actually in the competition, not in the actual details of it?" He cackled at this, finding it humorous. Indeed what good was doing anything if it was not to out-shine someone else?

Chifundo hummed, having quite the grand time. She pounced on some bones, barked at others, and sometimes would take a swipe at one and watch it skitter across the ground and she'd chase after it. Better, she'd line up the bones and try to smack them against each other, to where she started up a point system...and it was the best time she'd had so far! Just as she was finishing up building a basic set-up for her game, she was interrupted.
Oh no.
She turned around slowly to face the newcomer, hunkering down slightly, "I-I'm sorry! Am I in your way? Is this your place? I can leave, I didn't mean to bother..."
How embarrassing. Not only was she found out alone, she was also found acting like a pup...though at least the male didn't see outright aggressive...
