Attention Please!
These puppies are to stay in the J’K pack, though as adults they may wander from time to time if you choose. They will be raised there, as though they are children of a true packmember, and shall be taught the pack's beliefs and so on, though they do not need to accept everything they are taught bear in mind that it will be taught.
Please please please do not take a puppy and disappear. I know that a lot of people do not find familiars as glamorous, but if you want one of these roleplay contest pets, please only enter if you actually want to roleplay them.
Tidbit. Both Hinote and Kasai are Japanese words meaning ‘fire’. I like the idea of their family having a naming tradition and would like to see her pups be named Japanese words relating to fire as well. (smoke, ashes, spark, burn, etc are also fire-related and would definitely be acceptable)
Questions
Please PM answers to the following questions to Fallenthroughmidnight (myself). If you do not submit the question answers before the contest ends, your entry will not be counted. If you cannot find an answer, or get an answer wrong, do not panic please, you can retry though they are meant to be pretty simple if you do some reading. This is just to ensure people have read up on the pack and know what they are getting into. You are welcome to answer these at any time you wish. Entries that do not have a correct set of answers to accompany them will be marked with a * until they do. Please also title the PM something about questions so I know what it is, blank titles confuse me.
Question 1. What is the pack’s view on non-wilddogs?
Question 2. Who is Aheero in relation to these puppies?
Question 3. Who is Vorona and why should he/she be significant to these puppies?
Question 4. What sort of place do they live? (meaning are they on an island, in a riverbed, etc?)

Family Members
Hinote - A rogue maned wolf who grew up with her twin brother Kasai, she suffered an abrupt personality switch after an incident she has no interest in speaking of. Closed-off emotionally and purely logical, she feels her giving in to a weaker side was foolish, and doubly so because it got her with pups. At first she thought she might try to keep them, that being what a mother was supposed to do, but quickly concluded that her ‘foolishly’ kind brother and his new pack might do a better job of caring for little ones. They will probably not know her. (played by Fallenthroughmidnight)
Kasai - A formerly rogue maned wolf, he loves and adores his twin but is slowly and reluctantly coming to terms with the fact that she is changed. Kind-hearted and generous, when he learned of the Juu’Kilele’s troubles, he quickly offered his skills as a hunter to them and is now commonly seen working in collaboration with the ranger Aheero. He is the pup’s uncle, and is the one who will be raising them. However, while he is adamant that they know he loves them to bits, he is not their father, and will be referred to as the ‘uncle’ that he is. (played by Zephira738 )
Aheero - A Juu’Kilele dog through and through, Aheero is dedicated to his pack and its queen and would literally run his paws to the bone if it would help his pack. He frequently leaves due to wanderlust, but does so now more in an attempt to find new blood to help the broken pack rebuild. He met Kasai on one of these trips, and the two have become friends. Already an honorary uncle of a sort, Aheero is pleased to have more new life in the pack. He will help look after the pups as well, and claims them along with their uncle to bring them as honorary members to the wild-dog pack. (played by Zephira73 cool While Aheero is claiming them as familiars, they are not necessarily his ‘familiars’ for forever and won’t be on his cert. If they meet another wild dog in the pack that they enjoy the company of, they can certainly switch claimers and become that wild dog’s familiar instead.

This little girl is the oldest of her litter, and most closely resembles her uncle and mother in markings. Entering for her is open to anyone, newbie and oldbie alike, who intend to roleplay her. Remember that you can only win one pup from this contest, though you can enter both if you desire.
Prompts 1. Uncle says you're the oldest, and that you should be more responcible. How do you feel about that? Do you feel proud that he thinks you have it in you, or do you feel it's unfair if he treats you any different just for being older? Does it feel like you have pressure to live up to the mystery expectations of being a 'big sister'? Or have you got plans of your own?
2. You don't look that much like your siblings, but you do look a whole lot like Uncle Kasai. He says your mother looked like that too, only with the red color of your brother's markings. In the pack, pale colored coats are considered to be 'better' by a lot of the dogs. Do you wish you looked more like your siblings, with their white fur, or are you pleased to take after your unknown mother and your uncle?
3. There is a certain… stigma in the pack about having no father. After all, only mates are supposed to have children, yet here you are with a mother who left and a father who, as far as anyone knows, might as well have not existed. There are bound to be some odd looks for that! How do you feel about it though? You are not even being raised by your mother, but your mother’s brother. Do you feel abandoned, or are you happy with you uncle? Do you ever wonder about your parents, or wish you were with them instead of here?

Twins run in the family, and here's the latest generation. Brother and sister who look like each other if not their uncle, and possess the same green eyes as the rest of their family. The green marked one is female, the one with Hinote's red colored markings is male. These two are a partnered contest, you'll need a friend to enter for them with. Because, after all, two of a kind need two players! You can answer the prompt seperately from your partner, or collaborate on it as you choose.
Note: These two are customs! They will count against your custom-ins for July, so you can only enter for them if you did not use your July custom-in!
Prompts
1. You're a twin, yup, but you're still different enough that no one confuses you for your brother/sister. How do you feel though? You two do look pretty alike, but is that all you have in common? Do you act totally different on purpose, or do you think it's more fun to try finishing each other's sentances? Are you two of an identical pair, or two opposite sides to a coin?
2. This pack likes white fur. Oh, no one really has an official comment on it, and there is no official prefrence. But everyone seems to think light colors are better, and isn't white the lightest color of them all? Do you feel pleased to share a white coat with your brother/sister? Or do you kind of wish you bother looked more like Uncle Kasai?

For the twins, are their genders already decided? Or do you pick with your partner which is the sister or brother?

Tanakako For the twins, are their genders already decided? Or do you pick with your partner which is the sister or brother? Whoops, sorry, I should have been more specific. The red twin is male, the green is female. The colors in the code might help to remind, but I should probably put that in their description.

I’m the Big Sister! Name: Kaen (flame, blaze) Personality: Kaen is a little spitfire... ah, pardon the pun. She's energetic and busy, and occasionally rather ditsy. She can be a little absentminded but she makes up for it in her constant efforts to try and be good at what she does - which, at this young age, is merely to be the best big sister she can be... if only she knew what one was supposed to do! Prompt Response Prompt 1
Some days, Kaen really hated being a big sister. She didn't exactly understand what it meant, but she knew enough to know that it was a Very Important Job, and that she had better not mess it up. The problem was that since she didn't know what she was supposed to do, exactly, she couldn't help but mess it up.... all the time.
Really, how was she to blame when her sister and brother got stuck in that hole? She'd tried to tell them to stop, but then she's seen a really pretty butterfly, and it distracted her - but only for a moment... or maybe it was a few minutes... but she hadn't known that they would fall in a hole and get stuck! How was that her fault? It wasn't really fair that everything should be her fault, just because she was a little bit older.
Some days, she loved being the oldest - she was 'in charge', the twins had to listen to her, and she felt very special indeed. She was the oldest, she knew better than they did, and they knew that they had to listen to her... even if they didn't actually do it.
Today, however, was a bad day for being the oldest. After the aforementioned hole incident - which really wasn't that bad, neither of her siblings had been hurt! - she had been lectured for not taking better care of them, and she'd lost the chance to play that afternoon. Instead, she climbed on a rock to sulk. She didn't want to spend forever as a 'big sister'. Why could they have been the older ones? Then she'd get away with everything and they'd take all the blame!
But that was a mean thought; she really did love her siblings... she just didn't like getting into trouble. Maybe... Kaen paused and looked up at the sky, searching it for a moment before resting her head on her paws. Maybe later she could make Uncle explain to her more clearly what he expected of her, so she wouldn't mess up so much.
With a little more idea of what she was supposed to do, maybe she really could be a good big sister!

I’m the Big Sister! Name: Tenoh Nokoribi (Roughly translates to: "Embers of the Sky" - Ten = "Sky" *-* Nokoribi = "Embers" in Japanese) (*To me, the Blue and Green on her dark grey fur makes me think of the Sunrise under an ember cloud. :3*) Personality: Noko is a very socially quiet individual. Whenever in a social environment, she tends to sit back and watch the events that fall into place before her. When off playing on her own, she's quite the opposite. She loves to bound and play, pounce on bugs, wrestle with her siblings and any other cub around her age - sometimes adults, so long as they remain gentle to her in doing so - and over all being a puppy in general. She knows that being the oldest often entails her to be more responsible, and when she isn't busy tackling another pup in play she can often be found trying to mimic and act like other adults. She even holds dreams of one day becoming a well renown hunter. Prompt Response Prompt #3
Noko crouched low to the ground. A beetle was crossing her path and she watched it steadily. She suddenly leapt up and pounced on the poor bug and soon found herself giggling at the tickle it made under her paw. Her sudden spurt of delight brought about a small disgruntled sigh from a nearby adult. The sound alone brought Noko out of her child-like play.
Within an instant, she straightened up, looking at the adult with a soft tilt of her head. She was reminded of the fact her Uncle seemed to continuously remark. She was the oldest. She needed to stop acting like a pup and start acting like the adol she was steadily becoming. That's easier to do whenever everyone else treated you as an equal and not as someone that might be of lesser importance....
Unlike most of the pack, Noko and her siblings didn't have parents. Well, they had parents. Their mother left for whatever reason, and their father... Well, it was best to assume that he just existed long enough to help in the creation of their litter. She lived under the care of her Uncle, who she greatly adored. In her mind, he practically was their father, but he would more often than not stress the fact that he was their uncle. She didn't think of her parents often, or very much at all. Her uncle, her siblings, and even her pack were all the family she needed.
However, most of the pack seemed to frown at her background story. In which, she would just as easily frown back and welcome the idea of proving her worth. She had big dreams to fulfill, and she had all the determination in her own little world to do it.
Once the adult had moved out of earshot, she grumbled - mainly to herself - "Just you wait! One day I'll be the best Hunter this pack has ever seen! You'll see!"
She gave a rather proud puff of her chest at her own remark, seeming to like the idea. One day... Yes, one day she'd follow through with that thought and then she'd be able to make the others think twice about giving her and her siblings the sideways sneers and stares.
One day.......

Thanks for the interest you two, however, if there is not a slightly larger pool of entries to pick from I am probably going to extend the contest. I hate making people wait longer, but I prefer at least three to chose from for each character.
If you are not comfortable posting publicly, you are welcome to PM me your entries.

Thank you for your interest, I've considered and decided to award the Big Sister to Redbud-Tree. Because the twins got no entries, Seruta, if you didn't custom-in to a litter in July and would like the girl (green) twin, you're welcome to choose a name and personality for her if you like. I liked both entries, so I'd love to give you a puppy too. The male (red) twin I will give away as part of a pack giveaway event later.
