Sometimes there is a myth that really touches us, or helps us define the relationship between us and our god/s. It helps us see our god/s in a new light or to feel closer to them. Maybe it highlights an aspect of their personality that we really identify with,

What myths do these things for you? How did you feel when you first read them? Did they change your relationship with your god/s?

One thing I really like about myths is they help me to see broader connections. To relate things that might seem a bit of a stretch at first, or even to understand completely random references.

I really enjoyed the story of Odin and Mimir's well, as well as the one about how Freyja acquired Brisingamen. I find it particularly interesting to look at different versions of myths and see how they differ, but also what core ideas remain the same even when the details are vastly different.

The Descent of the Goddess is something that I've been meditating on during my seeking.
