Username: Redbud-Tree
Cub Name & Meaning: Alohilani (bright sky; hawaiian)

Personality: Al is a very energetic, excitable adolescent. He finds joy in almost everything and does his best to love every moment of his life. The one major flaw he has is that he tends to think that he knows better than his elders, and doesn't always listen like he should. He's also not the best at conforming to rules... which could cause him a bit of trouble if he doesn't learn to control his tendency to rebel.

History: Alohilani has had a relatively uneventful life in the colony. He's grown up in the safety, but very controlled environment of the colony, which as done nothing to quell the rebellious streak caused by his overconfidence. Al has had a few occasions where he has attempted to... not really break the rules and laws of the colony, but to push against him, and see how much he might or might not be able to get away with. So far, nothing major has happened to him, but that is actually working against him as it fuels his overconfidence.

Future Plots Ideas: As I said, he tends to think he knows better than anyone else, and why this may just be typical adolescent folly, it could very well lead to trouble for him should he try to, say, show up someone of a higher rank than he is (whether or not he succeeds); I'd like to plot out some situations wherein he can face and deal with his growing ego, nothing too major as I wouldn't want him kicked out of the pride...

Perhaps even developing something of a crush on a ranked girl, though nothing would come of it. Perhaps he could try to play secret admirer - all of which would come to naught, of course, especially if she is in an arranged marriage! Really though, all of these are just ideas in the end, and I'm ridiculously flexible.

Username: Tanakako
Cub Name & Meaning: Kalani : Hawaiian name composed of the elements ka "the" and lani "heaven, sky," hence "the heaven, the sky."
Personality: Kalani was so named for the fact that he always had his head in the cloud, making up fanciful and exciting adventures. He always dreamed of becoming a knight and would torment his sisters with his 'knightly' antics. As the only male in his family he is fast to mature, at least mentally as he is well aware of the difference between his family and those around them, taking his 'knight' duties that he self-assigns rather seriously and in the absence of a father figure, he pushes himself to be his small family's protector, despite how hopelessly inadequate he is at times. As he grows and experiences more of the world, he becomes a more serious cheetah, holding his honor close and conducting himself in a very courtly if sometimes a rather stiff manner. Being socialized mainly with his family and the few colonists his mother speaks to, he is not the most social of males, but he is ever polite and upstanding to both colonists and rogues alike. If he achieves his desired rank of Chevalier, he will put his heart and soul into fulfilling his mothers and his pride's expectations of him, a steadfast male skilled in fighting who speaks only when necessary but is always polite if a little brisk.
History: Kalani is always worrying about their mother, her weakness when they first joined the colony became clear to him when he saw other females with much more energy than her. But as the weeks pass and Noelani slowly recovers, he is relaxing and slowly acting more like the rambunctious cub he started out as. Though he will always be rather protective of his family and will be just as protective of his future mate and any cubs he finally ends up with.
Lolani's climbing has always confused him, but he often pesters his sister to teach him how to do it and to some degree he has been successful. He is not sure how useful such a skill may be in the future once he takes on his chosen career, but he can't see how it will hurt either so he often joins her in the trees around the colony. For the most part his life is carefree and filled with fun. He concentrates on his 'knight' training and the ever popular game of 'tease his sisters'. On the odd occasion he has wondered about his father, but has not yet plucked up the courage or remembered long enough to ask his mother.
Future Plots Ideas: Kalani will strive to grow up and take the rank of Chevalier, acting with honor and patience for the sake of his people. He will also be put forth for an inter-pridal marriage with the K'N to strengthen the two prides alliance. He will, finally, ask about his father and may or may not try and find the male responsible, though would ask permission from the royals if he planned any trips into the roguelands at any time, as his duty to his family and his pride far outweighs his own personal issues regarding the lack of a father in his earlier life.
