Adiel had entered the Motoujamii pride not knowing that much of her family had already beat her to it. The trip to the desert had been a wild stumble of emotions and desperation. Her dreams, ever since her mentor had died, had been shattered and unreliable. Back in the Hongshan, she would have known her brothers and sisters's presence just by being close. And now...
Now, she hadn't learned it until she happened to notice her sister at a distance. Adiel had practically swallowed her heart, and stumbled to hide behind an outcropping of rocks. It was a shock, to be sure. But she wasn't sure why. It wasn't like she was afraid of her siblings. It was just... she was so different now... the Ein they'd known had died when the Hongshan had been destroyed. Now, Adiel didn't even know she could manage to look them in the eyes and tell them what had happened to her. How she'd failed her clan.
So she'd hidden with the rest of the Hongshan lions, adapting to her new job and trying to think of how she'd approach the subject. They must have known she was in the pride by now. They'd probably heard rumors as to what had happened to them. She'd always hoped to meet her family again and tell them tales of her success. Now there wasn't much to tell other than a name change and some broken dreams.
But as nervous as Adiel was, she knew eventually she'd have to confront them. It was a big pride, but it wasn't that big. Eventually her avoidance would droop past casual and into intentional. And she didn't want her family thinking she was intentionally avoiding them. So with a flutter in her chest and only a half notion of what she'd say- Adiel headed out to where she had last seen the twins.

"Stop hesitating," Ka ordered. His bulky form towered over his sister's lean body. She was crouched low, trying to knock his legs from under him, but he was too heavy. "Focus!" He swept a paw out and nearly struck her jaw, but Kai moved quickly with a snarl.
"Give me a chance," she said softly, angrily. The drought had made her tired, but she needed to keep training, staying on her toes. She was a guard, and had to be ready to protect the lands at all costs. She leaped for him again, but he was too strong and thrust his side into her belly, nearly knocking the wind from her and she hit the ground hard, coughing.
"Enough of this, stop!" Ryujin said quickly, running over the dunes. He ran to Kai who refused aid in standing, she was stubborn and hot tempered, just like their mother. But Ryujin would never tell her that. "You can't keep doing this to yourself."
"She has to do something," Ka said with a huff. He reached a paw out towards Kai and was stopped by Ryujin and Ka snarled. "You dare interfere?"
"Stop it Ryujin, this is my fight," Kai pleaded.
"No, its not, this is madness, without steady water you'll grow weak and sick, or worse. Besides I saw-" Ryujin stopped, unsure of how to continue. He wasn't quite sure if it had been real, or a dream. It had looked like her, but the names he heard spoken, hers was absent. "You just need to stop now."

The last thing she would have expected was to see them fighting. It made her uncomfortable and flighty. Maybe now wasn't a good time... it would be better if she dropped by another... no, maybe she'd... the red lioness sighed. Adiel might have been damaged, but she knew that there was never going to be a good time for what she had to do. The best she could offer her siblings was an explination for having avoided them.
Except, Adiel wasn't really sure what to say.
She approached slowly, her head down low and practically sunk into the hyena pelt she wore across her back. The three were still arguing amongst one another when she finally appeared. She spoke first, but her voice was barely above a whisper. "I just wanted to-"
She paused, shuffling her paws. They probably hadn't heard her. Stupid, stupid. Talk louder! Don't look like such a failure! Adiel swallowed hard and took another few steps forward, hoping to be noticed rather than have to bring attention to herself. "I just wanted to-" she said a tiny bit louder. But it really wasn't loud at all.
The former prophetess frowned, her head drooping down low. "I..." her voice trailed. "I mean...hello, everyone..."
She sunk a bit further back into her pelt. "If this isn't a good time I'll come back later..."

Ka opened his maw to yell and possible strike out at Ryujin, but the voice that came from behind his black pelted brother stopped him. His red eyes settled on the black and crimson form, and those eyes...that face. Her back, he noticed, was draped with a fur, but his mouth still was open slightly.
"Ein?"
"What, you mumbling now? Put your claws where your mouth is you-" Kai started to yell and then she looked to Ka's eyes, his face. Then peered to Ryujin who had turned away from the two of them.
What the-?
Ryujin had heard rumors, but he didn't know if they were true. He heard about someone so similar to his younger sister but, how could the chance be that she would come here, follow here after they had left so long ago?
Did she remember them still, did she remember what they were before their mother's curse had tried tearing the twins away from them?
"Kai," when she turned to him he pushed a paw on her cheek to point her face towards her, standing alone.
Kai's eyes widened and she pulled away from Ryujin's touch. The three of them stood here, just looking, watching. This wasn't a vision, right?
"Is it really you?"

Adiel nervously sunk even further into her pelt. "I uh..." her feet shifted. "Well, of course it's...me...I mean. Who else would it be?"
Although she supposed they might question the name. She should have prepared more! Had some idea of what she was going to say to them. "I...well, the Hongshan call me Adiel so...Iguessthatsmyname," she let out a sigh. "But, it's still Ein too...I saw that you had come here and I didn't want you to think I was avoiding you."
"Not that...not that I was avoiding you-" she gulped. "It's just, things have been hard with... well, we... I mean... the Hongshan, we came from there and this was the only place we could go." Now she knew she was floundering. Whatever she'd become, she hardly resembled the Ein they probably remembered. Her shoulders quivered. Better leave before they realize just how much.
"I...if this is a bad time I can..."

Ryujin looked to Ka and then back to Ein. "You were with them? For how long? Your name, you ...didn't want it?"
Ka huffed and looked at her, quirked a brow and snorted eying her. She was nervous, why? "Why would she want it, we could've changed ours if we wanted, let it be, Ryujin." Although Ka was curious, he didn't want to push her away. Their mother had done that when they were cubs, they needed that not now.
Kai watched her, almost in disbelief, and as Ein seemed to try and make her escape, Kai dashed with a speed she hadn't used since the drought and came behind her, "No," she said, "don't go, Ein."
"She said it was Adiel, Kai," Ka said lowly.
"Ka, please stop it, this is what I've had to deal with," Ryujin said with a sigh.
Kai looked to them, to her, crimson eyes shining. She looked to her sister's eyes and blinked, "something is different, but no," she said, "she is still Ein to me, for now."
