A lot of this information was lost over the years so I'm going to attempt to piece some of it together here. This thread is dedicated to the information of Faetasia and all within.

The Living Island

Faetasia was created by Chaos but she wanted to do more than other gods had done with their planets. Keep in mind that in this universe, each breedable on Gaia is a different planet, and ruled by their creator, etc, tying all breedables together in a sense.

Her planet was pure water, simple. Lifeless. Most gods would treat it as a canvas, painting upon it what they wanted. Not Chaos. Chaos reached into her own heart and plucked a piece of it away and stuffed it into the center of this planet. Thus the planet truly lived, and she was connected to it in every way.

The first thing to spring forth was the island of Faetasia. It started out small and simple, lots of fruit groves and a large lake to the west. Next, Chaos created the deities, each one by hand, a reflection of what they are meant to rule. These were her children. A plan of things to come. Of things to still come as some deities are awaiting their day of glory still.

Nest, Chaos created the first of the races. The were the regulars, pures, baddies, kryenae, nymphae and the majerae. They were the original. They were special. The regulars perhaps most of all as their lifeforce was the strongest. This meant that they contributed the most essence to Faetasia. Essence was constantly flowing back and forth from the world and the races within it, linking them all together. Essence is what causes the island to grow.

The pures were guardians of the regulars and the baddies brought trouble in, chaos. She tried to keep things balanced as often as she could but her love of chaos was ever around. The kryenae were thinkers and she knew great things would come of them. The Nymphae were charmers and it was hard to predict their movements, something she greatly loved about them. Then there were the majerae. Perhaps the least physical appealing of the races, she gave them magic in it's raw form. They were capable of things the others were not. They were capable of great things but to keep it fair, she gave them a sense of balance, of neutrality and of course, wisdom.

Few faekats remember the creation. In fact, if any do, it's the elders. The years flew by, decades felt like weeks and as Faetasia continued to grow, new races appeared. Creations of gods given their chance to shine. Other races seemed to flock from elsewhere in the world. Small islands that sprung up on their own and others yet seemed to spring from other planet and dimensions.

Faetasia was special. It called to all races. It was more than just a home, it was a living thing, and it loved its races so. Faetasia spoiled them, ever growing and shifting, accommodating so that every race would have a place to call home. It isn't unheard of for the island itself to lash out to protect one of it's beloved. If a faekat was being overly mean to a creature that loved and cared for the island, a tree might happen to fall in their way preventing further attack, or a swift wind carry the innocent faekat from harm's way.

It could be equally said that Chaos loves her races. While the other gods are serious (as is their duty), Chaos is not afraid to show bias or genuine love for her people. To her, the mortals her children as well. This is also why she does not want her deities to mingle with them. They were all her children. They simply had different tasks or roles to play.

Faetasia today is different than the island of old. Now there's at least seven or eight different islands. Some float high in the sky and can only be reached by kats that fly or have other means of transportation. Most rest on the surface of the water that adorns Faetasia, water that shifts in color from one day to the next, changing as everything else in the island changes. A faekat could walk out of her home one morning and be greeted by a rainbow in the distance. The next, she could come out and see a mountain in that area. The world was ever changing and it never made life harder for the kats. It always made it simpler. If a faekat complained that the fruit grove was too far away, he may find a tree next to his house adorned with multiple fruits.

That is Faetasia.

Roleplay Elements

There's a lot of races that are nature based, such as faeries, werewolves, etc. Any race that's nature based is considered a protector of Faetasia and can be protected from harm's way at times so are welcome to involve nature based elements in their roleplay. However, any faekat that loves Faetasia may do the same. Please limit this to one or two times per roleplay to not create too much godmoding though. <3
