When I didn't think this season could get any more chaotic, I'm shown that this season, anythings possible.

1. The lesson I learned... - I mentioned in my weekly picks that I was in Reno NV this past weekend making a bet with a 14 game parlay. Overall I had 10 of 14 games right. Needed at least 12 of 14 to win $$$. Where did I go wrong? Two of my losses which I was on the fence about that I am now kicking myself in the rear over. 1. 49ers vs. Eagles. My head told me Eagles. As a 49ers fan my heart told me not to bet against my team. I battled my inner 49er faithful saying, "I cannot bet with my heart" and went with the Eagles. With 25 minutes left to play I thought my pick was a good one with the Eagles up 23-3. But I learned the hard way that 1, sometimes you have to go with your heart/gut on these bets and not your head, and 2, DON'T BET AGAINST YOUR TEAM! I feel so ashamed to call myself a 49ers fan after this one. Harbaugh and Co. showed me why I shouldn't bet against my team. 2. Titans and Browns. I went into the casino with my mind made up to go with Tennessee, I looked at all the lines, none influenced any of my decisions... except this one. I was curious as to why the Browns were at a -1 over Tennessee. I studied and looked into it and couldn't find a reason why. The Oddmakers went with Cleveland as the favorites, and for this one game I was compelled to take a risk and gamble on what the odd makers might have known that I didn't. And in the end I regretted it. I will be returning next week to bet once again. This time I've learned my lesson. If it weren't for these two bets I would have walked away a winner, (All be it winning the minimum winnings for a 14 game parlay) Next weekend I look to change that.

2. No lead is safe!!- This past weekend we saw quite a few come from behind victories. the 49ers, (Mentioned above) 20 down against the Eagles, Detroit 24 down vs. the Cowboys, the Bengals 14 down against the Bills, and others. The previous two weeks we've seen Buffalo come back with two amazing victories trailing New England and Oakland for the first back to back wins trailing by at least 18 points. This week the Lions topped that with back to back come from behind victories of 21 and 24 points. In the past when I see a team take a lead of at least 20 points, I call the game over no matter what quarter it's in. Sure I've seen great come backs in the past, but they have been few, far and in between. This year it seems like every week we see an amazing comeback victory! We're only 4 weeks in, and this season has already been one of the more entertaining seasons in recent history. If this is what follows a lock out, I would want to see a Lock out every year if this will be the results.

3. Superbowl XLVI halftime show announced- This past weekend the NFL announced this years Superbowl half time show, and it will be... MADONNA! I've already heard mixed comments on this show. Personally I'm excited about it. Now this won't sway me from changing my Superbowl half time tradition of switching to the Puppy Bowl, but what excites me is that since Janet Jackson's 'Wardrobe Malfunction' the NFL has shy ed away from Female performers during their Superbowl half time shows. Maybe the decision to go with male performers in recent years have nothing to do with Janet, but I'm convinced that that fiasco did influence them, even if it's subconsciously, to shy away from female performers. I'm very happy to see that this will finally change. That and I'm surprised it took 16 years for Madonna to get the gig after Michael Jackson performed half time during Superbowl XXX. About freaking time.

SHOUT OUT PLAYERS!!
Michael Vick (QB Philadelphia Eagles) Even though Vick and the Eagles still lost on Sunday, Vick had a career day, passing for 416 yards, a personal best, 2 TD and rushing for another 76! Props to Vick for having arguably his best game as a pro.

Calvin Johnson (WR Detroit Lions) The one called Megatron had 8 receptions for 96 yards and two TD's Good numbers by a Receiver in general but what impressed me the most were his TD receptions. His first he was triple, yes triple covered and still came down with the ball in an amazing feat of athleticism. His second TD catch was another great catch for the highlight reals. Two amazing TD grabs blew me away and gets a shout out from me.
