Our story so far....
.

There once was this young Groundling who loved her forest home, and well...loved anyone who came wandering through it, and one fine summer night, someone did. Handsome, charming, he entertained the lady in question and when the sun rose and he continued one his way, well...he left a little something behind..three little somethings.

Now Nuala is not the brightest of the stars in the sky, but lucky for her, her guardian Tam Linn is, so when the bundles of joy where born he took them form Nuala, (who wanted to teach them to fish right away) and began to raise them with the help of some of the other Groundlings who shared his rose Bower home. Once they grew big enough to survive a fishing lesson he decided to allow their mother ( in the loosest sense of the word) to take them from the safety of the rose thicket to the small stream .

Enter the rest of the story..

During this time, the leopard known as Bugie/Noir, depending on which personality was in control at the time, was cub napping young leopards and cheetahs to train for the upcoming war that was brewing under the surface of the uneasy calm of the Kuroi'nera. A war that would be between the hybrids and the pure breeds of the Pride. Though the Council had warned him against the practice, it still had not sunk into either personality.

Seeing the cubs unattended beside the stream, for Nuala had jumped in to show them how to do it, Bugie/Noir rounded them up easily and took off down the stream, over the rocks and quickly away from where Nuala was.

Once she surfaced she realized something was missing and went back to the Bower, where Tam Linn asked her where the cubs where, when she snapped her claws and said she knew something has been missing, Tam nearly choked her then and there and took off out of the Bower leaving one of the others in charge as he began his search for the missing cubs.

Prompt One: You've just been taken from the only home you've ever known, and while you know your mom has fluff between her ears, you just know that Tam doesn’t. Do you believe he will come and rescue you? As the days, weeks, maybe even months go by do you still hold onto that faith that he will?

Prompt Two: When you arrive at the Pride you've been conscripted into you learn you are going to be trained to be a fighter in an up coming war. How do you take to the life? Do you enjoy the training? Take pride in becoming a warrior, or hate it all together and try to plan escape even though you know that death awaits you if you even set one paw out side the steep barrier that holds the Pride's home.

Prompt Three: You end up living with a council women name Tabia who seems to be sheltering cubs of all kinds, her own litter, two from another litter that seem to have been badly abused in some way, a few others that have been stolen from homes like yourself and your brothers. She's kind, but keeps you all in line with a firm paw. How do you feel about her, and your new..er family? Do you make friends with any of them at all? ( here you can RP Cassial or Foi found here at this link Cubbins

Prompt Four: Go for it! Let loose and write away!

But I Thought We Were Just Going Fishing?
Name/Meaning: Drupada (firm footed)
Username: Lilbabe808
Personality: Drupada used to be a sweet little cub. Even though mother wasn't the brightest leopard out there, he still loved her very much and would go along with whatever she wanted to do. He loved his two brothers just as much and enjoyed playing with them under the watchful eye of Tam. He had loads of energy and was very talkative. Sometimes he was told that he was too talkative.

After being cub napped from right under his mother's nose, Drupada became much more serious. The sweet cub became hidden under a tough exterior. He became a silent cub, not really speaking to any that approached him except for his brothers. He would always reassure them that Tam was coming. His trust in Tam was something that could not be taken from him. Now Drupada is a cub that cannot be broken.

Prompt Number: 4 (combination of prompt 1 and 2)

Prompt Response: Drupada watched excitedly as his mother went below the surface of the water to show them how to fish. He definitely wanted to try it and waited with his tail swishing through the air from all the energy that was ready to burst from him. He chattered on excitedly to his brothers about anything and everything. Usually they would make small noises to show that they were at least partially listening to what he was saying. When there seemed to be no answer or even sign of them listening, he frowned and turned to see why they were so quiet. His eyes widened just as a big black paw came at him. There was no time to react, the leopard started to push all three of them down stream away from their mother. Drupada, being the loudest one of the bunch, let out a scream as they were herded father away. Unfortunately, Nuala was still under the water when it all happened and didn't hear a thing. Drupada ended up getting swatted from the leopard that had cub napped them.

Drupada would look back every once in awhile as they got farther and farther away from home. For once, he dragged his paws, no longer showing the energy that was usually bursting from him in never ending waves. He would have tried to escape but there was no chance to and he would never leave his brothers behind. He automatically thought of Tam. As soon as mother went home without them, Tam would come looking for them. They were so far from home though. Drupada had to wonder if he'd ever find him. No, he couldn't give up hope. Tam would look for them and he wouldn't give up. They would be found eventually.

As soon as they arrived at the pride that the big black leopard belonged to, he immediately got a bad feeling. It looked like they were in a crater. Drupada could feel eyes on him as they were led through. Soon enough, he found out that they were to be trained to be fighters for some kind of war that was coming up. He had never fought before unless one called wrestling with his brothers fighting.

At first, Drupada hated the training. Most of his energy in the beginning was used for glaring and speaking back to those that trained them. He got punished quite often during the first couple of weeks. After that he threw himself into the training, using up all his energy to train as hard as he could. They thought it was because he had accepted them and was willing to fight in their stupid war. No, he trained so he could become strong enough to escape. He needed to become strong so that he could help his brothers escape with him. They were teaching their ways to a cub that would turn into one of their enemies. If he could not escape before the war started, he would most certainly try during it. He would never forget what they did to him.

Through all the training, Drupada never lost the hope that Tam would find them. It was obvious that it was hard to be trusted by the pride, called the Kuroi'Nera, much less gain entry to their land. They needed to be escape, be out in the open for Tam to find them. His heart ached terribly whenever he thought of home. No, Tam would not give up on them and he would not give up on Tam. In time, they would be reunited. Drupada had to believe that.

But I Thought We Were Just Going Fishing?
Name/Meaning: Tulivu; 'peace and tranquility'(swahili)
Username: Kamileunaire
Personality:

Like his name implies, Tuli is something of a laid-back little soul, and perhaps just a bit scatter-brained, as his dear mother. So far, he loves the world, and he finds wonder and new discoveries around each corner. Though he is young, and energetic, sometimes he'd rather sit back and watch the clouds go by rather than playfight or run around with his siblings. It may seem lazy, but he likes to term it as being more 'observant'. He especially enjoys to watch the natural occurences that happen all around him. Insects, the sky, other animals, his parents, and the other inhabitants of the bower. It all interests him in a way he can't yet articulate, but loves all the same. That being said, he is a wonderful listener, and may eventually grow up to be a deeper thinker as well, perhaps a bit of a philosopher.

While he does like to observe, he can sometimes become so enthralled with something that he sometimes forgets everything else entirely, which in turn sometimes gets him lost, or in trouble. He's easily distracted by butterflies, and would not hesitate to wander off after one for hours (though with Tam's help this has been mostly avoided). He also becomes so distracted by his thoughts sometimes that he speaks in odd sentences, or not at all, or choose to only say the most important things, rather than waste words. He'll probably grow out of this quickly as he widens his vocabulary and learns more, but still retain a very to-the-point way of speaking about things.

Prompt Number:
2.When you arrive at the Pride you've been conscripted into, you learn you are going to be trained to be a fighter in an up coming war. How do you take to the life? Do you enjoy the training? Take pride in becoming a warrior, or hate it all together and try to plan escape even though you know that death awaits you if you even set one paw out side the steep barrier that holds the Pride's home.
(I took a few liberties and sort of played Noir. Please forgive me if it doesn't fit perfectly.)

Prompt Response:

War. It had been an alien term to him, before the entire ordeal had gone down. The day had been so pleasant that morning. They'd all bustled out of the bower to take the short-but-exciting trip to the stream, a place none of them had ever been before! Mom seemed excited enough. Today, they were going to learn how to fish, which would be their first step toward 'growing up', as Tam liked to say. He'd encouraged them all to pay attention and to stay close, and so they had, huddled together and staying close at mom's heels. This had been particularly difficult for Tulivu, who liked to look at each and every new thing along the way. Look at that bug! What's that over there? Flowers he'd never seen! But, he was also just a bit nervous, so he heeded his foster father's warning and kept close to Nuala, even helping to keep an eye on his brothers.

The stream would prove to be even more amazing than he'd dreamt it could be. They'd heard the sound of the rushing water before they'd even seen it. The sound was gentle, soothing, like music to the young cub's ears. It had been all he could do to keep himself from rushing out in front of Nuala to see it. They'd climbed down the bank, through the thick brush that grew right down to the water's edge, to emerge on a pebbly little shoreline that lead down to the water. The sun drifting down through the trees made the water's surface sparkle, and Tuli was entranced. But he'd had to focus, really hard! Nuala was supposed to be teaching them, and teach them she would. She gave a short explanation before turning to splash into the stream. Tuli and his siblings had watched in rapt attention...

That was when the trouble began. Hell, Tuli hadn't even been aware that it was trouble at first. The male leopard had come in a shadowy flash, smiling gently, and ushering the startled trio away from the water. Was he a member of the bower? One of Tam or Nuala's friends? He soothed them with silky words, and a velvet voice that was almost as dark as his coat. "Come along," he'd said, "come along, you'll be quite alright. Hush now, and follow me, this is -very- important.".Tuli and his brothers had followed along without a peep after that. Had something bad happened? Was there danger here that was forcing them to return to the bower? What of their mother, who was still busy in the stream? Tuli had felt uneasy the moment the dark stranger had appeared...and his gut feelings had turned out to be true. Noir had lead them off swiftly, over some rocks, through unfamiliar brush (not that Tuli or his brothers had ever seen much of the surrounding territory), and away from the place in which they'd spent all of their short lives. One of the brothers had begun to straggle, and so he'd been scooped up by the black male, carried the rest of the way by his scruff...

How long a way they'd come. Noir had lead them on for what had seemed like an eternity (which in reality had only been a couple of days), to a place neither of the three had ever seen...to be placed in the care of an even stranger purple someone who was covered in unusual trinkets and finery. They were to 'train', she'd told them. By now Tuli and his brother had found themselves amidst a cluster of other cubs...none of them familiar, and all different. Frightened, angry, generally downtrodden, Tuli had gone from worried to horrified. His questions had been answered quickly. No, they could not see their mother again. They were to be trained to fight, and they would listen and do as they were told, or they would be punished. Tuli's brother had called out angrily, only to be cuffed into submission. Tuli's heart had nearly broken that day...what were they going to do? He wanted his mother, and he wanted Tam! He'd huddled up with the rest, and when he was sure everyone else had gone to sleep, he'd wept.

What was war, then? They had asked. War is what happens when two opposing forces clash with each other until a solution is found or until one side or the other 'wins'. That was the answer the purple cheetah, Tabia, had given them. Tuli had had problems understanding...but the training they were being put through seemed brutal. Gone were the lackadaisical days they'd spent in the bower, playing and snoozing and doing just about whatever they had wanted. Tuli could no longer watch the world around him...far from it. When he found bugs now, he was encouraged to catch them, to...to -kill- them! When he'd tried to resist, he'd been punished, just like his brother had for acting out before. It was all so horrible...Tuli couldn't handle it. He longed for his old life...for an escape from this place.

Except that there was none. The place in which they found themselves now was bizarre, and confusing. A rocky and seemingly hospitable place compared to the safety of the bower. Tuli had tried to wander off once, only to be reprimanded by Tabia and sent off without any dinner. With each passing week, Tuli could feel his resentment growing, along with a strong urge to be as uncooperative as possible. He became used to getting yelled at or punished for being 'disobedient'. Why should he fight? They had been taken for an unjust cause, he'd finally concluded. Taken to fight in a war that was -not- their own, for ideals that he neither understood nor found particularly constructive. For the first time in his entire short life, his blood had boiled when he'd reached that realization. He had to find some way to escape...and he would bide his time.

Each cruel word that reached the cub's ears would act as more fuel for his fire. Every soft-pawed swat he received for not participating in their never ending play fights, every time out or punishment for not training hard enough would serve as the motivation for his revenge, though he did not even grasp the notion of what he was planning. He would leave this place, someday, he told himself, and the crimes his captors had wreaked upon himself and his siblings would be repayed. That is...if he managed to retain his spirit. It was to be seen, for one so young and so driven had a long way to go, with so many chances to be broken before he ever reached the top.

Are we allowed to go over 2 paragraphs? If we are, I'd like the chance to add more than what I have. I just tried to stick with just 2 since it said to not go over that amount in the rules.

If it really is limited to just 2, then feel free to ignore this. ^^
