So...just making sure I understand correctly: winning means you win both, and you must keep both?

Black Leopard's Name: Ajiiva Meaning: Lifeless in Sanskrit Owner: Redbud-Tree
Red Leopard's Name: Amara Meaning: Deathless in Sanskrit Owner: Kitsune Mistress Nyoko
Backstory: Amara and Ajiiva were born in a land far away, in a place where leopards were corrupt and slaughter was common. They were the only two cubs of their litter, twins in a place were twins were considered a curse. Shortly after their birth, their mother was murdered before their eyes in an attempt to keep her beloved cubs safe. Her last words left a lasting impression on the two girls, one that would shape them throughout their life.
"Live together, or not at all."
And so their journey began. Forced to flee the safety of a pride for fear of their lives, the twins spent most of their life in the Rogue Lands. In the shaky years of their youth, they gave each other their names. The crimson twin was called Amara. Deathless. She was one who would not give up even in the face of certain death, and still she would triumph. She laughed in the face of death, and her soul was slowly twisted into something dark and cruel. The ebony twin was called Ajiiva. Lifeless. Unlike her passionate sister, Ajiiva was cold and distant. But at the same time, she would do anything for her sister. Even spill her own blood.
Their youth was hard. Living on the scraps of other's kills, they were often chased off by scavengers. They grew up thin and scraggly, their coats dull and lusterless. They were attacked often; they were easy targets. But no matter what they faced, Amara would always take down their enemies in a glorious blood bath. And Ajiiva would simply watch, numb to the sight of the blood and gore that her beloved sister so enjoyed.
No matter what happened, they were always together. But then something happened. An earthquake came, and the sisters were separated. Without her sister, Ajiiva was lost. She remained where they'd been separated, confusion and turmoil in her heart even as Amara sought her out. Alone for so long, Ajiiva began to become bitter.
Why hadn't Amara come for her already? Didn't Amara remember Mother's words? Perhaps Amara wouldn't come...
This went on for days, and then when they were finally reunited, Ajiiva had snapped. In a fit of insanity, she attacked the sister she loved so much. Amara reacted. Skilled claws slashed down her beloved sister's face, blood stained white fur and Ajiiva screamed in pain. The shock of the attack snapped her from her insanity, but the damage was already done. Blood was gushing from her face and her now ruined eye, and it was in that moment that the truth came to her. She didn't know what it was that kept the two of them together.
Was it hate or love? Or maybe it was the words of their long dead Mother. Words that held no meaning in death.
Words that were useless, words that had twisted the two of their innocent lives into something dark and evil. Amara had become a leopardess that loved blood and gore, while Ajiiva had become dangerously unstable. And with a dark smile, Ajiiva dipped a paw in her own blood and pressed it against her sister's flank.
It was an unspoken promise. And Amara understood it. She quietly dipped her own paw in her sister's blood, and marked that dark flank with her own paw. No matter the pain they would undoubtedly inflict upon one another, no matter the scars that would form, they would remain at each other's side. They would spill each other's blood at times, and some day, one of them would kill the other. It was what was meant to be...

Black Leopard's Name: Temp'rens Meaning: An adaptation of the first name of the main character of the tv show Bones. Owner: Roxy_roxanna2
Red Leopard's Name: Bren'nan Meaning: An adaptation of the last name of the main character of the tv show Bones. Owner: Talencia
Backstory: From childhood, these two have worked in tandem, each using their talents and personalities to balance the other, creating a cohesive whole.
Temp'rens is the serious one. She is all business and has absolutely no sense of humor. her focus is her work, gaining knowledge, and solving puzzling mysteries. She savors her job, finding fulfillment and contentment in accomplishing what others thought impossible. She has undying loyalty to her friends and most especially her sister, and can be extremely fierce in defense of her.
Bren'nan however is a bit of a clown, though no less dedicated to their job. She likes to think she is very funny and the life of the party, but in truth she is highly socially awkward. She is slow on the uptake when others tell jokes, having to have it explained to her. Her analogies to current situations are often so obscure, her point is lost in confusion. Still, she has an indomitable spirit, not letting what others think of her bring her down.... or at least, not very often. Due to her desire to please, she sometimes is vulnerable.
Both sisters have a joint talent with bones, though whether this was innate, reflected in their coats, or whether their markings influenced their interests as cubs that developed into a real skill, none can say. Both agree as a single unit that they will only use their abilities to help good and hopefully thwart evil. As adults, they are trackers that recover bones, find missing people, and travel together in the search of greater knowledge and greater good.

Black Leopard's Name: Iata Meaning: - Owner: magnadearel
Red Leopard's Name: Zeza Meaning: - Owner: Team Edward Cullenation
Backstory: Zeza climbed into the tree to wait for her sister. She felt that she was very stealthy and cunning. This would definitely win the battle. Her tail flicked back and forth as she gazed at the space she had marked off. She wanted to look up the trail but moving may give her position away and that would be unacceptable. It was high noon and even she was getting thirsty, hopefully her darker coated sister would arrive soon. Her tree overlooked a sheltered place at the watering hole and she grinned into the sunlight.
Iata was indeed not far from the tree her sister was hiding. She was panting heavily and had to stop for a small rest. The antelope, she would swear, was at least her size. The black leopardess felt confident that not even her sister could have bested her in this hunt. It had practically begged to be killed. She looked smugly down at her prize. Even better was how far she could drag it before absolutely needing a rest. Zeza surely couldn’t beat that. Picking up her prize, Iata made her way closer and closer to the tree.
Zeza's eyes widened, look at the size of that antelope! No matter she could prove her skills and steal it from her seemingly hot and tired sister. The black was a bit crazy to hunt in this heat. Zeza kneaded the bark of her tree, soon now, so soon. Her shoulders worked and her mouth opened in anticipation. So close, so close!
Shade! So close Iata could almost feel it. Ok maybe not really, but if she pretended she could that made her feel cooler. She backed toward the promise of shade and a couple degrees cooler. Her pelt felt like it was on fire. A drink of water would have been so refreshing at this point. First she had to get her kill secured and flaunt it off to Zeza. She dragged the antelope forward another step, and her front paw crossed the line her sister had made. Suspiciously she looked at it. Then she peered around. What was Zeza up to?
Zeza peered over the edge of her tree. Yes, her sister had fallen for it.
`Yarrgghhhhhh!`She launched herself off the tree and gravity possessed her and dragged her down. She hoped that she would land on her sister or at least the antelope. That way she could drag it away or back up her tree. This was if her sister was to tired to fight.
Belatedly Iata looked up as she heard her sister’s, as usual, mangled battle cry. Who could be afraid of that? It was then too late. She blinked and let out a yelp as Zeza half fell on her and half on her prey. Flattened between sister and prey her impressive roar, which was of course better than Zeza’s, came out pathetically. Twisting around she gave the red leopard a headbutt into the ribs.
“It’s mine Zeza! You couldn’t catch anything again could you?” From her position, she gloated over her fine kill.
The headbutt skewed Zeza`s usually perfect balance enough that she had to dig her claws into the antelope to regain it, however the antelope wasn’t heavy enough to weigh her down and she tilted toward the water and lost her balance completely. She landed in the oasis with a splash the antelope and her sister following. Zeza came up spluttering, `Look what you did!` She immediately grabbed the antelope so it wouldn’t sink too and tried to haul it to the edge.
Iata had a sinking feeling as she felt the antelope shift under her. She was in no position to save herself as sisters and antelope went tumbling into the water. When she came up the leopardess had a face covered in mud. “L-look what I did?!” She sputtered back. “Look what you’ve done! I brought back dinner and you went and got it all soggy.” Well she was cool, and wet!, now. Iata washed her face quickly in the water then went to help Zeza save their dinner. After a moment she started to laugh. Her face of mud probably looked pretty silly.
"I like soggy!" Zeza argued. She tilted her head at her sisters laugh and finally looked at her. Iata did look funny all covered in mud. "How did to manage to land face first? Arn't cats supposed to land on their feet always?"
She pulled herself up regally and lifted a paw out of the water. “Talent dear sister. Talent.” Iata splashed Zeza playfully before taking a hold on the antelope. “C’mon, help me pull it out so I can eat my share then you dump it back in to sog all you like.” She had a grin.

Black Leopard's Name: Vue Sang Meaning: Visions of Blood Owner: Buffy_the_Bloody
Red Leopard's Name: Akeldama Meaning: Field of Blood Owner: Revel1984
Backstory: Vue Sang and Akeldama were raised by a fairly loving mother, the poor leopardess had tried to raise them well by herself but she always felt there was something 'wrong' with her daughters, as their markings seemed to have come from nowhere, she certainly couldn't remember any in her family having such markings and their absent father didn't have them either. From the first time she'd brought them solid food they had almost been obsessed, Akeldama was always the one that broke prey open, usually quite messily. Vue Sang used to hold back, at least until there was blood scent in the air. They became excellent hunters and... in time their mother encountered another rogue, a male. Eventually she got bigger and bigger in her pregnancy, during this time the sisters because jealous, their mother spending less and less time with them and more with herself, relying on her daughters to hunt for her. When she began labour, the sisters were there. Akeldama watching carefully, her sister, calmer, by her side. When the last cub was born, something snapped inside Akeldama and she fell upon her mother and the newborn cubs, claws and teeth tearing at flesh, young and old alike. Vue Sang joining in once the metallic tang hit her nostirls. When it was over the sisters stood there, bathed in blood, they had looked at each other, nodded and both walked away together, leaving behind the mangled remains of the old leopardess... no trace of the cubs were left behind, while both sisters licked their chops
