[DUEL] The second try (Xagan x Kakek)

It had been some time and he had licked his wounds, alone. He had been travelling with his two sisters for so long that when he had found himself alone he had found it very unnerving. Despite his loss the only thing he could think of was re-joining his sisters. That meant getting in to this pride.

With a determined growl the big duel coloured male gave a loud challenging growl. This was it, it was time to try again, time to attack, time to join this pride, after all what would he do if he wasn't here? More to the point, what were his sisters doing and were any males hitting on them while he wasn't there to watch over them? Shaking his head the dark male growled again, he needed to keep his head in the game. He had to get in to this pride and rejoin his family.

Kakek had been wandering the borders lately and had been wandering into some rogues from time to time and today was one of the days that he was going to be dueling a rogue that was in the pride to see if the other male was to get in. Kakek was pretty excited he always enjoyed duels and the idea of welcoming in a member made him pretty excited he flicked his tail around behind him as he approached the other male and prepared to fight. Kakek nodded to the male as he acknowledged him.He launched himself forward growling as he did, prepared for the fight. He reached out his paw and then moved it to slam it on to the male's side.

Xagan growled as he felt the hit. He hadn't been expecting a straight off attack, he should have been, he had had experience already in this pride. they were large males and females, they were tough fighters and he knew full well that he had to keep his head up and barrel in.

Narrowing his gaze at the large dark male he barred his teeth and dove for the bloody maned male. Hoping to make him back off a bit so he could get his bearings.

Kakek stared at the male and then bared his teeth as he did, moving away from the male and then circling him, he was very much surprised that the other male didn't get a hit on him yet. He knew that it was just the beginning of the duel however if it was going to go like this it wasn't going to go very far quickly. He bared his teeth at the male as he circled him and let out a warning hiss as he did, encouraging the other male to hit him. The male seemed strong and he kind of wnated the male to have the chance to get into the pride.

Xagan's brow furrowed and he barred his teeth, his muzzle wrinkling, he stalks towards the other male his tail lashing back and forth behind him, he lowers himself biding his time, waiting for the right moment to strike, he didn't know if he could manage to get a hit in on this male and already he was starting to worry. He wanted to be near his sisters again, he wanted to be in this pride, he wanted to be a part of a pride again, he needed to be.

He growls low and deep in his thick barrel like chest stalking the strangely marked male, he just had to get one good shot in, that was all.

Kakek continued to watch the male, he was confused on why the male still haven't done anything in return to him. He snarled as he watched the male and decdied on something that might work against the male. He growled and launched himself toward the male extending a paw as he did but stopping short and returning his body and backing up some. He was hoping that the male would hit him next he was hoping that that was encouraging enough for the other male to get a hit back.

Xagan lost his footing, falling backwards his paws, loosing their footing in the sand. He cursed the shifting sands, he wished he had grown up here in these sands, he wished that he was used to these sands. He wished he hadn't lost his footing, he could feel another loss coming on and he cursed his bad luck on these sands.

Kakek growled as he saw the male miss, he wasn't that sure if the male was going to be able to win the duel but Kakek was getting tired of taking it easy and waiting on the male before he hit. He moved quickly extending a paw toward the other male but as he did he miscalculated the male's movements as the male hit the floor. He growled and extended his paw too before he realized that he didn't aim right his paw missed the male, he moved to the side hoping the male's movements didn't throw him off too bad.

Glad to see the other missed his footing the dark male scrambled to his paws and stepped backwards hoping that the fiery maned male would just miss one more time, he was sure that he could at least agree that this other male was an equal match, he was worried he might have to walk away with his tail tucked between his legs once again..

Kakek sighed and moved away from the male and shook his head at the other male a little sigh escaped his lips as he looked at the male. Another hit he didn't get. He sighed and moved away a little and then flicked his hair out of his eyes. "You know you have to but up a better fight then that."He warned the other male as he turned around and started to walk away a little but he paused and then looked at the male once again. "You should come back another time and try again." He told him matter-a-factually. He as a little sad to know that he won against a joining member, he enjoyed seeing new members, but there was nothign that he could do now.

The big male frowned clearly he had not yet recovered from his previous battle here. He would have to come back. shaking out his fur Xagan frowned and shifted his weight feeling his back leg buckle slightly, clearly he had injured himself much more than he thought slipping in the sand.

Bowing his head slightly the dark male moved away over the sands to rest and train some more to return another day. "I'll be back." He grumbles padding away fromt he pride and his siblings once again.
