Tala had woken up early and left the den that she shared with her mate. Her son recently had had cubs and she went to check on the new family. As she walked back to the her den she was smiling her heart had been warmed by the four little cubs that called her grandma. Despite the fact that she was now a grandmother Tala felt that oh to common urge starting to bubble up inside of her. Something she had to talk to Abu about, she wasn't sure how he would feel about it though.
Her mind was raising as she though about it, Abu was still young and he hadn't had a litter of his own at all... she hoped that it was possible that he would want to start a family with her, a family of their own. She was still wearing a large smile when she entered the den she shared with him.

Abu had stayed in the den, awakening just after Tala had left the den. The sun was peaking a bit though the trees and glittering lights danced across the swamp's surfaces. It was getting cooler, now, in the day.
It was a pretty fantastic life so far, he thought. He enjoyed his life. He had a beautiful mate and a nice den and everything was... nice. He gave a smile to his beautiful lady when she returned to the den.
"Good Morning," he tilted his head in greeting.

Tala wasn't surprised to see Abu awake when she entered the den in fact she probably would have had to scold him if he had still been sleeping as the day was getting on. "Morning my love" she purred as she rubbed up against him. It had taken a long time for Tala to be able to be happy, the father of her last litter had turned out to be less then a stand up citizen, he had caused a great deal of trouble for the pride she now called home, murdering a number of members and Tala had blamed herself as well as having the worry that he cubs would end up like him in some way. Now however Tala knew that her cubs were god thank god they took nothing from him but there looks.
"I went and saw Nitesh and the cubs" she told Abu still purring her eyes some what dreamy. "They have already grown so much."

Abu pulled himself from the ground of their den and nuzzled Tala in return. He gave a soft smile. "Very good," he gave a small shake of his mane. "Soon enough, they'll be off on their adventure for their names," he murmured.
That was always the most fearful part of growing up, he thought. Especially after he saw how bitter and angry his sister had gotten. He had grow a lot - not it size much, but in mind and emotion. He had not wanted his cubs to be born into a pride that was still so fearful (not that they were completely fear free) and after dealing with his sister fleeing the pride after her return, it had frightened him off of trying for children.
But so many new cubs bounded around in the pride, and he looked upon them with fondness. He almost regretted his decision to wait, but he gave a smile to Tala. "They're doing well then?" he asked.
