I just got the latest flier for Cabela's and found a SIG built Colt 1911 in .22LR (with hard case, two magazines and a holster!) for $50 off their usually inflated price. $369 plus taxes. But only on the 10th of this month.

If you have a great Xmas sale price on a sweetheart gun, ammo or accessories, post them here.

/edited for inaccurate price on the pistol.

I though the 9mm 1911 was sacrilege.......

You may want to price what a pre-war Colt 1911 Ace is going for. I'm seeing them in the $2300 range.

Granted this .22 was built by Colt, but they do exist and are welcome by many owners who can't handle the cost of .45ACP when they feel like practicing. And it also makes the SIG a ******** bargain by comparison.

I wouldn't be shooting for a pre-war Colt anyways. I'm sure a Springfield or Taurus would be more in my price range once I go handgun shopping. Not paying $2300 for any gun unless it's the collective price of an Ithaca, a Remington 700 AND the Springfield 1911 (which I doubt is even possible).

And .45 ACP isn't that expensive. The site I saw had 50 rounds of .45 for $18, versus $12 for 9mm. Granted, I'd probably go through 50 rounds in one session, but it doesn't seem to be all that more expensive in my opinion.

50 rounds of .45 for the same price as 550 rounds of .22? No, that's pretty even, I guess.
