Ankaa sighed as he looked up at the stars.

Every time he dreamed he hoped he would see something at all helpful for the pack. But, as it did when it came to the earthquake, nothing strange or at all helpful. Often he would see glimpses of distant places, or dogs he knew, some who had perished, but never anything useful for them. He was beginning to wonder if it was his fault he didn't see anything uplifting.

"Maybe I need to be more optimistic." Ankaa mused out loud, tilting his head at the sky so he could make out a familiar constellation, shaped like a hare. He was hopeful, sure, but Ankaa was a cautious sort. The pack was growing stronger, and new members were joining, some were finding their way home. He was still just mourning, he supposed. The loss of friends and work. As a Night, the amount of deaths had greatly upset him. Wasn't that why he had become a Night, so he could save others? And what use was it to have visions when they hadn't been able to confirm the words of the seer that had warned them of the earthquake?

"Hmph." Now instead of being sad, the wild dog grumpily kicked a rock. "Fine, then." Yes, now was time to change and be a happier dog again. Even if he had to force it at first. He could only hope that, with time, and hopefully not too much time, he wouldn't need to force himself to be happy and he could just be happy.
