So, they had a plan. She knew this much, and that was simple enough. Kalama and Cinaed already knew what they were after and more-or less how to get it. One of the first steps, though, was to find a third person. You couldn’t make a team of two, after all. She had spent that morning considering anyone she knew, and had actually managed to think of… someone, anyways. A lioness, one she didn’t quite know personally, but had heard something about.

Apparently, Chanda had been outside the pride lands before. And though Kalama wasn’t totally positive about that, she figured she might as well check it out. If the red lioness really had journeyed outside before, that could come in handy, considering neither Kalama or Cinaed had.

So she set out to look for the other lioness, though kept an eye on anyone else she passed, in case an idea struck. Also because she wasn’t completely sure what Chanda looked like, exactly. She hoped if she saw her, though, she would recognize her.

The mostly red lioness was lounging on a dune, tail flicking as she took a short break from her duties. More often than not she found herself alone, keeping to herself and dwelling on her own life problems. With all that was recently going on in her homelands though... well, it was hardly the time to be sticking to the pride boundaries. She was a part of the pride, after all. It was her duty and her pleasure to help her brothers and sisters in time of need... but that did not mean she was happy about it. Mostly the anger stemmed from Aibisho... she would not forgive him, could not forgive such... such... she did not want to think of his betrayal. She would just have to keep reminding herself that firekin bred strong firekin, that was how she had to look at it.

She finally rose with a gruff sigh and shook some sand from her pelt as she lumbered down the dune, coming almost nose to nose with Kalama as she did so. She pulled up short, ears flicking back slightly as she dipped her head. "Excuse me." Her tone was short, and she could not hide the anger influencing her voice. She was not mad at the lioness for almost having run into her, in fact Chanda was quite certain she should have been paying more attention to her surroundings... she just couldn't shake being angry in general. The reasons for trying to avoid others? Well, she knew with tempers' as hot as the firekin blood... it wouldn't end well. Most of the time, anyhow.

It was in Kalama's nature to immediately be mad about someone just running into her like that, even if there hadn't actually been contact. She might have growled, or said something, or even flicked them with her tail as they passed. But she didn't do that. It wasn't the apology that stayed the red lioness, but recognition.

"Hey. Hey, you!" She turned as the lioness passed, ears perked. "You're Chanda, right?" That had actually turned out to be a little lucky, if things went as planned.

Chanda's ears flickered as her name was said, and she stopped and looked over her shoulder. Naturally her eyes narrowed as she studied the other female, trying to match her face to a name. Chanda didn't try too hard though, she was probably related in some way or another. Maybe. Come to think of it, the markings looked more like the other large branch of firekin in the lands. Not related then? It didn't quite matter though, did it?

"Yes, what of it?" Her words weren't unkind, just uncertain and a little suspicious. Her tail gave a short flick as she waited.

Kalama smiled, initially just pleased that she had gotten the right lioness. Yep, good, she could trust her memory. She trotted a bit to close the distance the lioness had managed to make, and nodded her head slightly to imitate a proper greeting. "So, you've been to the rogue lands before." The red lioness figured she'd best go straight to the point. Lions around here were busy, and there was no point in wasting their time. Unless you wanted to upset them, in which case that was one way.

"Would you like to go again?"

It was no secret that the lioness had been out in the rogue lands while she was younger, only returning as an adult with a mate in toe... this was while a lot of chaotic happenings were occurring. She nodded her head slowly, the suspicion melting into curiosity.

"Yes." She said almost at once when the lioness had asked. Then she cleared her throat. "Er... I mean, for what reason?" It was ill advised to leave the firekin lands... but this was the answer to her problems! A reason to not see Aibisho, curse the stupid... she shook her head and snorted to force the thoughts away.

She hadn't expected such an answer, rather, she imagined more suspicion. Kalama was somewhat amused by the quick reply, so she smirked and her eyebrows raised slightly. Still, this was good for her, so she didn't mind. "Good!" She said, to voice her own thoughts. The red lioness sat down. "Well, there's a way to do it, and serve your pride."

Might as well quit the theatrics, so Kalama didn't make much of a dramatic pride. "I am starting a sentinel group with a lion called Cinaed. Because of your experience outside, I have been looking for you to invite us into our group. And, judging by your answer, it would be beneficial for all three of us." Right down to business, because no one really needed much else. To be honest, the group might end up being four, if Cinaed ended up finding someone, like she had asked him to.

She realized that, since Cinaed hadn't heard of sentinels before, Chanda might not have. "Do you know what the job means? If not, I can fill you in."
