These three girls are the daughters of Hippolyta and Asper. Hippolyta is the queen of the Amazons, consort of Ebere. Among their grandparents is Kiuma and Al-hattal, and their great-grandparents are Mufasa and Sarabi. They have an older sister, Calypso, who is a little odd in the head and won't be all that friendly towards them

They will be raised as one big litter with Ebere's girls as sisters, though they are actually cousins. The same will go for their three older leopon 'sisters' from Ebere's last litter; Mandisa, Shoshana & Ariadne. There won't be any real distinction about who's mother is whom, they'll all have two moms and a whole pride to take care of them. They won't see their father/uncle, unless for some reason they meet them while outside of the pride. Their brothers were sent to live with them as soon as they were old enough to travel, so they probably won't remember them all that well.

Their personalities and their future plots are up to you! We do, however, ask that you try to keep them in the pride. <3 At the very least, wait until they are adults. We understand plot happens, but this breeding was to boost pride numbers.

Naming for these girls is encouraged to be Greek in origin, especially characters from myths. Kiuma, the former queen, insisted on naming all of her daughters after legendary characters (Valkyrie, Persephone, Ceres, Oriopata, etc), but Hippolyta is a little easier going and will choose a name that fits. You will not be penalized for a non-greek name, its just a preference of mine. <3

This sweet little girl is a twin to the green boy of the litter. Her parents are Ebere and Atheris. Atheris is Asper's brother and Ebere is Hippolyta's consort and the High Priestess of the pride. She will be raised as one of the two female's many daughters, but she won't get to meet her brothers or her twin unless she leaves the pride (permanently or temporarily) and happens to meet them. Her brothers were sent to live with their father/uncle when they were old enough to travel.

Like the above girls, she should please stay in the pride! At least until adulthood.

This little girl is the daughter of Moray, a midwife of the pride.

She and her brother are being raised solely by Moray and her Mate Nadra. They both will be taught how to be kind and generous and will be loved dearly. Moray is the motherly one in the relationship while Nadra is more of the father. She will be surrounded by loving family members, such as Nadra's daughter and granddaughter (owned by split personality as well).

Her brother will be exiled from the pride when he's old enough to hunt for himself and both cubs should grow up knowing this fact. How they feel about it is another matter.

This girl belonged to me, but I'm rehoming her so someone else can get a chance to rp in the pride and give her more use than I have.

She is a shiny Luxray and she has a brother named Nguvu who is a regular Luxray. He is owned by Tier Omartiglio, but he isn't around Gaia much. You're welcome to try to contact him if you win. She was colored by Meepfur.

Originally I named her Umeme (meaning Electricity), but the winner is welcome to change her name if you wish. Her role in the pride, however, will be as an Elite Guard. You can read up on their duties here. Keep in mind her personality should lean more towards the bolder side, since an Elite Guard is a harder, bit more dangerous job than a regular guard.

You will need a joining rp, but you are welcome to do it with anyone currently in the pride. If you don't have an rp at least started in a month from the end of the contest, I reserve the right to take her back and re-home her to someone serious about joining the pride.

About Antianeira & the Amazons:

The pride is exclusively female and, because of their founding queen and trouble they've had in the past, places an emphasis on fighting or hunting prowess. Everyone is expected to do something useful and every female is expected to bring home a litter of cubs at least once in her life, doing her duty to keep the pride alive. This involves traveling for a time outside the pride lands to find a male to mate with, and then bring back the cubs.

Males are not allowed in the lands and depending on who finds them if they're caught inside the borders, they could face anything from being chased off to being killed. Opinions on males range from friendly to downright murderous, but is unanimous in the desire to live apart from them or simple in the company of other females. The main idea is that males can never be fully trusted and are for cubs. Females are for love and companionship. 'Mates' in the pride are, of course, same gender, but the relationship can range from actual lovers to simply very close friends or siblings who wish to be together.

At adulthood, each female has her face cut by another female to form scars that look like the trails of tears down their cheeks. Its a sort of initiation and a female that doesn't have them (icly), is not considered a full adult and isn't given any sort of real responsibility.

Not long ago, the pride was taken over by males, the females all taken as slaves, and it was a very dark time. With their queen killed, the heir exiled, and their cubs threatened to ensure their good behavior, the pride was forced to do whatever the males wished. Hippolyta returned to free the pride and its been long enough that things have almost returned to normal, but the memories of that time still lurk just under the surface. One way it shows is in the lack of cubs recently, all the ones born under that time grown to adulthood. With no cubs in the pride and a risk of the whole growing stagnant, Hippolyta and her mate have decided to have two litters of cubs to help boost moral and hopefully encourage the rest to follow their example, bringing new life and hope to the pride.

About Hippolyta:

Kiuma was born Pridelands royalty but always had a dream to travel the world, which she did for a long time. After a failed relationship and litter, she grew distrustful of males. When she chose to have another litter, she decided it was time to settle down and thus founded the pride. She was a very tough mother, and as Hippy was the heir, she grew up wanting desperately to please her mother to become as strong as she was. When the pride was taken over by males, Kiuma was killed and Hippy severely beaten and exiled, leaving behind her new born daughter. She was tempered like steel from the experience, coming back to reclaim her pride and finally ready to be a true queen.

She has a lot of distrust of males, though she doesn't dislike them as intensely as her mother did... its one of the few things she and Ebere will get into full blown arguments over. Hippy doesn't hate males and won't speak badly of them, but she is firm about keeping separate from them. She will raise her daughters to be strong, but will not push them as much as her mother pushed her. Cubs with problems though, like her first daughter, are hard for her to deal with though and she will sort of... over look the oddness until it becomes bad enough that, as a queen, she must deal with it. She feels a lot of guilt over 'abandoning' her daughter to the males and its what makes her try so hard to be a good mother, and why she ignores the hints of insanity that Calypso sometimes shows.

She's a calm lioness, strong and capable, but relies on her mate to let out her playful side and relax a little. She'd be a work-a-holic and a worrier if she was allowed to be. While having cubs was her idea, Ebere agreed enthusiastically and was the one to select this particular pair of males to be the fathers.

About Ebere:

Ebere grew up in a very small family with her mother, two aunts and her father. They were a very close clan and Ebere was their darling. Not long after becoming an adult, her family was attack leaving Ebere wounded and her family slaughtered. Rescued by a young leopard who haled her body and her mind, Ebere learned from him how to heal and vowed to never let anyone feel the pain she had felt.

She began to travel looking for her place in life, it was during this journey she came across the injuried queen Hippolyta. She vowed to heal and help the young queen regain her home never realizing that her vow would change her whole life. As they traveled the two became closer and closer till Ebere could not remeber a time without Hippy by her side.

When they finally drove the males from the pride, Ebere was heavy with cub from her leopard savior and deeply in love with the young queen. She couldn't imagine a life without Hippy and pledged herself to the shocked amazon within hours of their victory.

Because of her background, Ebere bears no ill will towards males, infact rather fond of them in general. It leads to many arguments between the two mates, but Ebere is firm in th refusal to let their daughters grow up thinking males are purely evil. Yes she will warn them to be cautious of strange males and that not all are to be trusted, but ALL of their daughters will grow up knowing the story of their grandfather who have his life for his mate, sisters and daughters. They will be taught that there are good males too.

About Moray & Nadra:

Moray and her mate Nadra originated from an outside pride and united in the Amazons without knowledge of one anothers' existence. They united and raised many families of children. During the raid, Nadra disappeared from existence as she raised a child in hiding; her son Shai. This is Moray's last litter of cubs, before she retires to continue her work as a midwife. She is the motherly one in the relationship and is very protective of her children.

Nadra is a flirtatious old lady. She is very proud of her albinism and strives to remain pretty and completely clean at all times.

heart I was looking at some of these lions a while back and was like OOOOOO. Amazons!! <3 I'm so excited for this.

(was going to call her Antianeira until I realized it was the name of the pride lol, all i saw was Contest and clicked, that's tunnel vision for ya. XD Also, so one of these girls is going to be the "future heir"? this will also be updated as I think of more. Thats all I've got for now, my muse kinda just took a hiatus on me >_<)


I want the White sister!
Name:Orithyia, Greek meaning "woman raging in the mountains" or "the mountain rager" (Goddess of Chill winds in some legends and was also the name of one of the most iconic Amazon queens in history.)

Personality: Feirce and protective of her siblings, this little girl is determined to prove herself a mighty figher and protector of her pride, and those closest to her. She is full of energy and always on the go, trying to get the others to spar with her to improve her skills. The main goal for this little one is to rise up in the ranks as a fierce and determined fighter. She has an extremely outspoken personality and will say what is on her mind, even if she probably shouldn't. Despite that bravado and outspokeness, she has a bit of a soft side to her (which may come out more as she gets older). She is constantly trying to think of ways in which to better the life that she has and is always trying to learn more about the prides history and heritage. She has the common tendancy to ask a few too many questions or try to find the answer on her own, which often enough ends up with her getting into some sort of mischief now and again. She doesn't make friends too quickly because of her outspokeness, but to those whom seem to get close enough to her find that they have a very trustworthy companion, even if she does seem to get a little obnoxious at times.
Possible Future Plots:
As she gets older she tends to want to explore farther and farther out to get to know the area and is possibly kidnapped? Those who catch her could possibly be those who hate the amazons and try to convince her that their ways are wrong and unholy or something like that?

I think a plot in which she has a reason to despise males would be pretty interesting with her personality. Whether she gets attacked by one, or raped ( -sad face-) or something along those lines, and she vows to make life a living hell for those who try to cross her path after that? I was thinking that she could end up pregnant from it and only birth males which makes her resent them even more. XD And when she tries to finally have a litter later (if that happens) she once again only has males and thinks she's doomed to only birth male heirs.

When she gets older she wants to explore a bit and see if there are any other amazon prides around, perhaps to join their own pride to help with their dwindling numbers? Or even go out in search of females to come back with her (which could lead to the event in which she is attacked by a male in the above plot idea? Or even her possible being kidnapped?)

Eventually I'd like for her to have a female lover, though whether or not it will be someone in the pride or someone she meets wandering about I'm not sure yet. I think it would be kinda interesting to see what would come of her falling in love with someone who lives elsewhere, though someone within the pride would be well enough <3
