Firaga had led a nomadic life ever since the pride of his birth fell apart. Fighting was something he'd come to live with - fighting for food, life, limb, freedom - but there care a time when one wanted something...a little easier. When one knew they couldn't go it alone anymore. Firaga had weighed his options when it came to support systems. When it came down to it, the most comforting idea to him was to join a pride. It was then he began to ask around and assess those options. All that had lead him to here. He stood before the edge of the Storm Born stronghold and was silent. Silence was his most notable trait. There were whispers amongst some that labeled him "The Silent Force." Just how long could he stand here before someone came?

Alehandra had noticed him approaching. She hadn't been looking for a battle, but she was new to these lands and trying to prove her worth. She had noticed that the pride grew daily, and she had been trying to prove herself by helping them to join. She leapt from her rock that she had been basking on, and walked tall towards the dark male. "You look like you would fit in. Are you looking to fight? Or are you looking to leave the lands that you are stepping perilously towards?" She asked and arched an eyebrow. Her body tensed a bit, prepared to do battle. She wouldn't get knocked out like last time.. That had been humiliating. No, this time she was prepared.

He stood silent for longer still, even after the liones approached, and spoke. Irritatingly so. Still and silent as a statue. Just when he thought she might snap at him to speak was when he finally said something.
"I was considering," a voice - low, raspy, young, dark - said, "becoming a part of this pride. but such is not a decision I'd so lightly make." He jerked his head to throw some of his mane out of his face. "I've heard things from others I've met in my travels. I'd like to see for myself, though."
It wasn't that he wanted a fight. Right now, he just wasn't feeling it. However, he felt even the most customary of blows might come to pass. But would they be with words or claws? He wasn't good at the word battles...

She frowned, and narrowed her eyes. He was handsome, but she was reminded of Aesir, and so she was willing to keep her distance. She feared Aesir, but mainly because she was worried he may one day find out she had been a pirate.. That was not a conversation she ever wanted to have.
"Well mister.. If you have heard things, you would know a fight is the only way to access these lands. And you have to win."
She grinned as she finished the last sentence. She was a good fighter, she had fought males twice her size. And it was more a challenge anyway.. She wasn't afraid for her life, though it was probably smart to be careful..

"Indeed. However why go though the trouble to fight for entry when I'm not sure if I want in or not?" He turned his nose slightly to the sky. "Will you make me fight for the information I seek as well? If I like what I hear then I will fight for entry."
As if he could really make such demands.

She thought about it. Well if he didn't really want to join what the hell was she supposed to do? Scare him off? She frowned again. She thought for a few more moments before breathing out.
"I.. I don't think it works that way."
At least she was being honest right?
"I'm going to have to fight you, or you are going to have to leave."
Wow.. She sounded threatening..Not. She couldn't help but feel silly at the conversation, but she was rather new here. She wasn't sure she could even answer his questions!

"You don't sound very confident," He flicked his tail. He was assessing that lack of confidence. Should he choose to fight her, merely because he thought she would be easy? It would be the smart thing to do, but there was no pride in it.

"Give me a break. I'm new here. Least I knew you had to win a challenge to get through these lands. That lack of knowledge could have been dangerous." She frowned, and tensed her muscles. This was it. He could either admit his wrongdoings and leave, or she was going to teach him a lesson. She may have been little, but she was far stronger than she looked.
"Look, just get on with it. What do you want? Lets fight or get out of here. You are wasting my time." She talked a tough game.. But she really had nothing better to do with that time.

"It would mean nothing to me to win my entry in to this pride against a neophyte like you," Firaga said, looking at the lioness with a dismissive gaze before casually turning away and flicking his tail at her face. He clearly did not see her as a threat, for all her tough talk.
"All I ask if information that you can't give. So I bid you adiu....for now." There was a burning look in his eye as he looked over his shoulder at her and to the first steps back the way he'd came.

Firaga left, but did not go far. He stayed within eyesight of the border, waiting for another opportunity to gather information. He had never stayed in one place long after his birth pride has dissolved. However he was tired of traveling. He wanted to settle in some place. The nomadic life no longer suited him.
He knew one way or another he would gain access to these lands.
He vowed it.

When he had left her sight, she relaxed her breath. Well that had been a far too uneventful challenge if she had ever had one. She had turned him away without even so much as unsheathing her claws. With a grin, she turned to retreat back to her den. She knew he'd be back, and maybe he could bother someone else of their time.
