The cubs being contested off below are the children of the two lions above, Silron'zem [Split Personality] and Vinata [~Kiana_Nala~].

Rules:

1. These cubs will be well loved and doted on so please no neglected cubs!
2. Cubs won from this contest must stay within the Na'vi until they are adol's.
3. Silron'zem is the son of the King and Queen of the pride, but these cubs (unless otherwise decided later by the pride owners) will have no ties to the throne or 'special perks'.
4. If you don't plan on RPing these cubs please do not enter!
5. Based on entries/interest we may extend the closing date.
6. Otherwise go nuts! 8D
Note: The Aurrie and Tygress Dream are customing in one girl and one boy. Mogami is trying to custom in a girl via regular customs.

8. **There are NO naming requirements. You do not have to name the cub a Na'vi name or something that starts with V.
9. **Feel free to play Vinata or Silron'zem in your prompt responses, or any of the siblings.

The family

User Image
Silron'zem is these cubs father and he is happily mated to their mother Vinata. He is a warrior within the pride and takes his job very seriously. While he is the son of the current leaders he has no ambition to take the throne and in fact is in full support of his sister Ney'ite taking over the throne when his parents time as rulers is done. Silron is very much a tough warrior who believes whole heartedly in his duties. Though, since meeting up with Vinata again and even becoming mates, his heart has softened, at least around her. Around his cubs he will be a very loving father who will gladly teach them everything they need to know about the world.

Vinata is these cubs mother and she is very much happily in love with the cubs father, her mate Silron'zem. While Silron has pretty much always known what he was going to be within the pride Vinata hasn't. In fact until Silron came into her life she was pretty unsure of who she was and where she was going. However, since meeting him she has happily settled into the role of being a huntress. Vinata is very easy to describe as she is a huge softy who revels in the joy of others. She will be the type of mother to dote on her cubs every moment she gets. Though, when it comes to discipline she will be the one dealing out your punishment. It's highly likely that when the cubs are old enough that Vinata will take them out to learn how to hunt/see it in action.

Let the flames begin

User Image

This girl is the second born cub of the litter and the first oldest girl. She seems to have taken the flames from her mother's nose onto her legs but, wait! Something seems much more unique about this girl's flames!

Prompt One:
Cub views

While you are not the oldest cub in your litter, you are the second and not only that but the first girl cub! Do you feel any pressure to be a good older sibling to your younger one's? What do you think of your family dynamic? How do you feel about your other siblings? Your parents? Does your unique coat make you feel superior or inferior? Or does it not affect you at all?

Prompt Two:
Cub perspective

Your mother has decided to take you and your siblings down to the forest floor so that you can begin learning how to climb the tree's of the forest and also to give you a chance to see a bit more beyond the treetops of the pride. How do you feel about this? Do you try to plead with your mother to let you and your siblings explore the forest floor? If you are trying to climb a tree are you somewhat successful or are you barely able to make it an inch up the tree? Does anything about this adventure interest you? How do you act towards your siblings and mother during this?

Well look at that! This little male seems to have taken almost a perfect mix of his parents. Who knew two opposite ends of the color spectrum could look this good? And look at that! You seem to have taken your mother's dots under your eyes!

Prompt One:
Cub views

Third born in a litter of seven, you are the second boy. You seem to have less responsibility placed on your small shoulders, or do you? Are you carefree because of your position within the litter? Do you hold a special bond with any of your other siblings? What about you makes you, well you? How do you feel about the world around you? Your parents? Your siblings? Do you take after either of your parents? What do you strive to be?

Prompt Two:
Cub perspective

While venturing out in the treetops you stumble upon your father who appears to be talking with your grandfather about pridal plans pertaining to the welfare of the pride (aka peace treaties, ect). What do you do? Do you announce your presence and steal their attention away from their work? If so what do you do? What do you say? How do you act towards each of them? If you don't, why not? How do you feel about their plans? How do you feel about these outsiders? Or outsiders in general?

Aww! This cub seems to have taken quite a bit after his father with a few touches of his mother! He certainly seems to be blend in more with the general Na'vi coloration. But look at those blue toes! He's just too cute!

Prompt One:
Cub view

You are the third youngest cub in the litter of five and the third male. Seems like there is a lot of thirds there. How do you feel about this? You seem to have taken the most from your father and grandparents. What do you think about this? Does this make you feel superior to your siblings? Or does it make you feel less worthy? Or does it not bother you at all? How do you feel about your family in general? Do you like sibling more then another? Or do you dislike all of them? Is there a goal you want to achieve in life? Or are you simply just letting life lead you where it wants? Maybe you don't want life to lead you anywhere?

Prompt Two:
Cub perspective

Your mother has decided to leave your siblings with your father and takes you to the far ends of the pride, but stays up in the tree tops. What do you say to her during this? Are you excited to see where she is taking you or do you wish she had left you with your father? Why do you feel this way? How do you feel about your mother and father? Do you plan on following in either of their footsteps? Or do you want a life of your own? When you finally get to the spot your mother was taking you, you find yourself able to see a large clearing within the pride borders and if you look hard enough you can see beyond that. Your mother tells you she was once a rogue but she had gotten separated from her parents and was left to wander the forest alone until Juubes found her. How do you feel about this new revelation? What do you say to her? Do you find yourself conflicted with the fact that your mother was once and outsider? What do you think of this alone time with her? How does seeing the pride from here make you feel? What about the rogue lands?

Prompt Three:
Cub perspective

As almost the youngest cub in your litter you find yourself at times getting a little bit extra attention. How do you feel about this? Do you demand it or do you despise it? Even more so then that your elder siblings sometimes talk down to you even though they aren't that much older! How do you feel towards them because of this? What about your younger siblings? Do you wish at times that you had been born later or before your other siblings?

Apps listed in order of pref, if that's taken into consideration at all~

I can't stop 'cause I'm having too much fun!
Username: RoseNightshade
Cub's Name: Tawrik Meaning: Sky leaf Origin: Na'vi
Cub's Personality:
~Worries he doesn't stick out, but desperately wants to, also worried alot about making his mother angry. He's the type of guy that will fall over himself to help someone out if they need assistance or to make sure they're happy. Basically the nice guy that every girl dreams of, if a little awkward, because he's always worrying about others happiness over his own. Very intelligent and perceptive, he has alot of patience, and would never lose his temper unless he was in extreme pain. He's a perfectionist because he worries about screwing things up, and will readily redo anything if he thinks it isn't up to par. Absolutely adores heights.
~Looks up to his dad, wants to become an equally brave hunter. LOVES his mom as much as he admires his dad, quakes with fear at the thought of ever losing his mother. Very much a mommy's boy.
Future Plots/Goals:
~Leaving (only for a short while, with every intention to come back) as an adol to take a peek at the roguelands that his mother wandered before joining the pride, just to see what it's like outside the safety of their homeland, and to see different environments.
~I'd kind of like to do a plot of him meeting a rogue lioness while he's out wandering, fall in love with her, and bringing her back to join the pride and become mates. :3
~I'd love for his mate to be his hunting partner ICly >3< I think that would be fun flirty RP, actually it would be awesome if they could meet that way, maybe competing for the same kill out in the roguelands. 8D And he lets her have the final kill, even though he could have taken it, because he's just a good guy.
~Would be fun to have him get into a couple of scraps while he's wandering the roguelands, highlighting to him the fact that life outside the pride is anything but easy and that not everyone thinks of harmony like his pride does.
~The upcoming events in the meta could be the perfect catalyst that puts the idea in his head that when he's a little older he wants to leave the pride for a short time to check things out elsewhere.
Prompt2:
Tawrik couldn't have been more excited when his mother brought up the subject of taking him for a trip alone through the treetops. He didn't even care where they were going, and didn't ask. He was going with his mom, and they were going to be up high! There were fewer pleasing things that his young mind could come up with. It wasn't often that he was allowed up in the trees alone, or even with only one other lion, just because he loved being up high so darn much that maybe he wasn't quite as cautious as he ought to be. So nothing much mattered when she told him they would be taking a trip the next day. In fact it had been hard for him to concentrate for the rest of the day, and even harder to sleep that night after she had brought it up.
Now, the next day, he found himself sleepy, and so not saying much as they traveled, even though he was very happy. Still he found occasion to ask a question or three about odd animals and plants he hadn't seen before, and finally, after about an hour, where they were going. His mother explained gently that they were going to the borders of the pride to show him of far they ranged, and he accepted this happily, realizing that they would be together all day, not just for a short while. Mom all to himself!!!

While he looked up to his father as a strong lion, capable of almost anything, it was his mother he truely loved most, and he was filled again with joy realizing how much time they would have together.

After what seemed like forever, although it had only been several hours, the land seemed to open up underneath them and she stopped to show him a clearing. His paws were tired, and despite his happiness, he gladly sat next to his mother to give them a break.

To his surprise, in addition to explaining that this was one border of their pride's lands - which he had assumed - his mother began to speak about her past, explaining that she hadn't always been one of the Na'vi. That she had been a rogue in the past.

"You mean... you haven't always lived here with Dad?" her answer again gave him pause, and filled him with another hundred questions about her past, about the roguelands, about living somewhere other than a pride or their forest home. He held his tongue however as his mother didn't seem eager to talk more about her past immediately. Maybe he'd ask her later...

But still his mind went on though he didn't voice his thoughts aloud. A life without Eywa? He couldn't imagine it! Wasn't his mom sad before she came here? Didn't she feel alone? She had lost her parents? He trembled at such a thought... and scooted closer to his mother's side in response to them, a sadness for her clinging to his heart suddenly. He never wanted his mom to be unhappy, he loved her too much! So even thinking there might have been a time when she wasn't filled him with a sorrow he didn't quite understand.

"I'm glad you came here and met Dad... I can't imagine living anywhere else and I wouldn't want to! I like our home..." He snuggled closer to his mother's side, glad of her warmth and this special thing she had shared with him.

Cub's Name: Ipxa Meaning: Fern Origin: Na'vi
Cub's Personality:
~Little bit conceited. Not obnoxious about it in an overt way, (as in she doesn't really fish for compliments) but she thinks she's beautiful and wants everyone else to think so too, and if they don't, she wonders why, and gets upset. Not angry upset, but her feelings get hurt.
~Naively thinks she knows the answers to things she doesn't know anything about, little bit of a know-it-all and can easily get herself into trouble because of it. Her know-it-all attitude comes from a fear of the unknown (it's not a conscious fear) so she pretends she knows everything so she won't need to be afraid.
~Somewhat scared of the dark even though she can see rather well in it. This is again her fear of the unknown.
Future Plots/Goals:
~FAMILY RP, especially with her sibs, various things that happen that make her feel less "special" ie, just taking down her ego a notch or two.
~Something to happen that humbles her and makes her look at the world from a different perspective that takes her off her high-horse... not sure what, I guess it would depend on what plots others have available/looking for that are in the Na'vi, although something could happen on the borders of the pridelands with a rogue, I suppose.
~I'd love for her to become a Crafter once she's been humbled, and channel her love of beauty out of herself and into things that benefit others~
Prompt 2:
The day her young siblings had continually been asking about had finally come. They were going to be taught to climb trees! Ipxa had to admit to herself that she was excited about the prospect of finally learning to do something that seemed to come so easily to all the adults, and especially to her mother and father. It was high time they learned how!

So she was a little confused when her mother took them to the forest floor rather than letting them stay high in the tree tops... Ipxa scoffed however when her siblings whined the same thing, tossed her head up a little bit and offered her own explanation for why, as it seemed to make sense to her.

"We've got to go down so that if you're no good at climbing that you won't fall! Duh!" she tossed her tail up and pranced a little ahead of their mother, turning back to smile at her and ignore the scowls of her siblings, her youngest brother snorting and declaring rather loudly that he'd already known that. "Oh yeah, then why'd you ask, smarty smart?"

Before her youngest brother could reply, their mother had to step between them, as she sometimes did, a switch of her tail indicating her unhappiness, but the physical barrier between them saying all it needed to. Ipxa knew when to keep the peace, and when he mom was angry, that was when. So she shut up until they reached the forest floor - a whole new world for all the cubs in her family - and their instruction began.

She was curious about their new enviornment but not enough to ask many questions, she left that to her wordy - aka never shuts up - younger brother. She learned alot from her mother's answers, but Ipxa was more focused on learning their task than asking questions about the forest floor. Because as soon as they learned to climb, she could explore it herself whenever she liked and there would be plenty of time for answers to any questions she came up with later. Now was the time for opportunity!

Her little claws were hard pressed to live up to the task however and although she could get about three feet up, that was when her still tender paws would just slide out from under her. It seemed that her claws, although sharp, were just too tiny yet to hold her weight. Her oldest brother Tompa decided to make a snide comment about it, since he was having a much more successful time of climbing himself, and she shouted at him to shut up, tears in her eyes. And that was it, she was done with the climbing lesson and nothing her mother said could coax her back into trying for the rest of the day. She could ask her dad for private lessons, or her mother, but she just wouldn't do it if her siblings were going to tease her. It was hard! Just because she was a little larger than the rest of them, being older, meant it was harder for her claws to hold to the tree!

Ipxa sulked on the way back to their home, sticking close to her mother's side and glaring at her older brother the whole time.

Depending on siblings personalities and all that, some of these are subject to change. I.e. who she is closest too and all that. Obviously if the younger sister doesn't like the other then Loreyu wouldn't be sharing everything with her lol. This is just an idea that I have for her, for now.

I'll be your hunk of burning love!
Username: AstoriaFallen
Cub's Name:
Vinaya, feminine Hindu name meaning "Modest, Humble". Also one of the three "Baskets" of Buddhist scriptures.

Cub's Personality:
Vinaya, aka Aya Vinny and Vi(pronounced V-eye) is a very eccentric, outgoing, and happy soul. She has a level head about her, but as children normally are, she loves to see everything and explore things that are of great interest to her. Which of course leaves little out. She takes her role as being the second oldest and oldest female to heart, but she doesn’t let that be her abiding law. She looks upon her siblings as equals and tries to express to them that each should be able to be responsible and be accountable for their acctions when it comes down to it. She loves her sister Vee incredibly and loves to spend time with her doing activites or practicing crafts and skills.
She is a smart cub and is a sponge for knowledge. She doesn’t know everything, but she tries her very best in everything that she does. She tries to help out when she knows an area better than others and isn’t afraid to ask questions when she has little information about others. She firmly believes that nothing should be given on a golden platter and strongly backs up the idea that you have to work for what you earn. If you don’t then what do you really learn?
She loves to sing and you can tell she has the voice for it, or will one day. She doesn’t always hit the right notes, but she can carry a bit of a tune and often sings to herself or her siblings when they are going to sleep. She loves being outside as much as possible, especially when it’s raining or the stars are out. She spends a lot of time learning as much as she can about things. Whether she’s watching the warriors training or hunters learning new skills to listening to songs of their past and battles that once were she retains as much as she can to help give herself a better understanding of the way of things.
She can be seen as bit of a flirt just because she is genuine and always seems to have a smile on her face and laughs often. As she starts to realize that she is quite the eye catcher she makes a mental not of it but she doesn’t let it get to her head. She doesn’t use her looks or voice to get what she wants but she keeps in mind that she knows it could come in helpful under the right circumstances. Know what you got and how to use it right? She doesn’t like to be the center of attention, even though often time enough she ends up in the spotlight so she tries to be subtle when it comes to things and not too forward. She knows that others think she uses her voice and looks to get things when that isn’t the case at all so she does her best to work hard and prove her skills.
As an adult she will be mature, though not stern. She is like a leaf that blows in the wind and goes where the day takes her. She doesn’t exactly live her life by a set of guidelines or a specific schedule. She believes things happen as nature or Ewya intended them too. She is aware that there is life outside of their tribe and she realizes that others have different believes but she strongly believes that Ewya is the center of all creation, no matter where you are from.

Future Plots/Goals: (going to have to read up on the rules about what she can be later. So this might be tweaked a bit after it's finished)

Would love to do family Roleplays, especially with her father since she wants to learn more about being a warrior than being a hunter, though hunting trips with mother would be fun too smile Even a roleplay or two with the grandparents would be nice since she likes to learn about heritage quite a bit.

When she's younger her and her siblings, or even just her sister or a brother(?) go exploring
and get lost for a few days, which has everyone in an uproar about what could have happened to them. Maybe even someone thinks they were kidnapped by someone and blame is placed on a specific person? While they're lost they get chased by a somewhat larger creature and that's what makes Vinaya really wants to learn how to fight when she gets older and sharpen her skills in those areas. Either that or the way it ends up wants her to choose to be a huntress instead because she finds out fighting isn't her strong suite, though if she's weak in that area it would probably cause her to want to get better at it.

As she gets older she takes to the warrior path more than the hunting and the fact that she learns after being shown a few times has someone have some beef with her? Maybe even get into a fight with someone else because they think she just uses her looks and voice to get what she wants rather than the fact she actually has some skills. I'm thinking that a warrior that someone else had their eyes on falls for her and that’s what actually causes the confrontation and all Vinaya wants to be is friends with the male and the jealous female tries everything to make loreyus training harder, or even give her difficult tasks which take her forever to do, but she eventually gets done. I know they believe in loving one another, but sometimes jealousy is such an ugly thing :3 This could also be turned into going on a trip outside of the tribe and mingling with another pride and a warrior there is who falls for her and she just wants to be friends and a jealous female does things and tries to get them blamed on Aya.

As an adult she falls in love with someone either in the tribe or someone that the tribe is against? (I think that could be interesting) Or she falls in love with someone who uses her to get close to someone in her family to cause them harm and she has no clue because she likes to give most people the benefit of the doubt?

(i've run out of muse)

Prompt:

(I really don't know how the others personalities are or anything like that so these are kind of dry.... >_< I didn't know if I could "sub" roleplay them in these. if i can, i will update at a later time.)

Prompt One:

Cub views

Being the oldest female and second oldest cub was a bit trying at times but those simple facts alone didn’t bring down her mood in the slightest. She knew that she SHOULD be one to set the example and act like a proper lady, but kids will be kids and she didn’t want to have to set the example ALL of the time. Being the second born, however, meant that when ‘Big’ brother wasn’t around, she was technically in charge and needed to keep everyone in line. Aya sat contemplating things as she stared at the stars through a spot in the canopy. It wasn’t so much that she felt pressured into being a role model, it just felt natural for her to look out for the others, especially her little sister. She knew Vee wasn’t always sympathetic towards her because of that, but the two of them were still really close. She didn’t really take charge, she only spoke up when she knew the others were getting out of line. She just wanted what was best for her little sister so sometimes she might say something to her when they were doing something or ask her to be a bit more careful about certain things. She frowned slightly and looked at the ground for a moment before laying down, resting her jaw on her legs. She didn’t want the fact she was the oldest female to muddle her relationship with her sister and Vee knew that. They were like two peas in a pod, she envied her little sister more than she probably knew. She loved her coloring, especially her spots. Blue was one of her favorite colors and she honestly wish she had more of it. She didn’t hate how she looked by any means, she was quite the dazzler herself, but she wished she had a bit more subtleness to her coloring like Vee did and wasn’t so bold. Regardless, both sisters were lovely and she always reminded her sister of what a catch she (Vee) would be one day. Despite her closeness to her sister, she loved her brothers just as much, even if they did get on her nerves sometimes. Not that she didn’t get on theirs just as much. How often had she played a prank or two on one of the boys? She smiled to herself and looked back towards the sleeping area where everyone else was. Her relationship with her parents wasn’t too bad. She wasn’t like a constant shadow, but she asked them both questions and wanted to learn from them both in equal amounts. She was a bit of a daddy’s girl though. She wanted to be like him more than her mother. She liked to learn about hunting and all that, but being a warrior seemed more interesting and she also felt like it would be far more exciting. She also knew fighting wasn’t her strongest area, so it would be good for her to branch out in that general direction a bit more. She started humming to herself a sweet little tune she had made up the other day and she figured it was a bit late and she should go back to bed where the others were. Still humming she padded back to her sleeping spot and curled up drifting away into her thoughts and dreams.

Prompt Two:
Cub perspective

“Really? We’re actually going?!” She couldn’t believe what she had just heard. Sure she thought going with dad to watch him with the other warriors was amazing, but they were going to explore the forest floor? That was definitely much more exciting right now. She could always watch the warriors train, but leaving hometree? That didn’t happen all the time, at least not with them being so small. She looked over at her eldest brother and went to go find her sister to let her know that they were leaving. “Vee! Guess what! Mothker is taking us to go see outside of hometree.” She nudged her sister playfully waking up her still sleeping sibling. She knew her brother would find the boys wrestling around somewhere nearby so she hadn’t really worried about tracking them down. Lori and Vee had talked frequently to one another about seeing what was outside hometree, and now they were actually going to see!

The fact that mother was taking them to the forest floor was a thrill and caused for great excitement to the two girls and Aya was nothing but a bundle of excitment and couldn't wait to see what was beyond the safety of the treetops. She was a bit nervous and anxious as much as she was excited and interested and she kept close to her sister and wondered if her sister shared the same emotions. She looked over at Vee and she seemed to have the same expression plastered to her face. They were leaving home tree for the first time, how much more exciting could things get from there?

It didn’t take long for them to make their way to the forest floor and travel no more than a few minutes walk from the safety of their home. The sounds of the forest filled her ears and the colors drew her in every direction. It was still early morning and everything was still aglow . She could hear her brothers planning something but she didn’t pay too much mind at the moment. She looked over at her sister and smile. “Isn’t this just the coolest? Look at how big everything is.” She never really realized how tiny they actually were compared to everything around them and now it was a huge realization to the cub. It didn't even cross her mind to ask mother if they could go further than what they were because there was so much to see in the area that they were at now.

There was a patch of trees in the area that they were and one of her brothers, she wasn’t exactly sure who had come up with it, decided they should have a climbing contest and see who could get the highest. The trees weren’t very high so it wasn’t a big concern about falling and getting hurt. She wasn't that much of a showoff or trying to be the best in anything, but it was always fun to have a bit of sibling fun with such things. She went to the nearest tree she could see, that was her size, and wondered how she might actually start. Should she pounced and grab on or stand standing against it and go from there? She peeked at the others trying to see what they were doing but it seemed that they had already gotten a head start. She placed her paws against the tree and with her back legs she jumped digging her rear claws in as she "bear" hugged it with her front claws and found she had a good hold. She saw a limb about two feet higher than she was now and decided that was going to be her stopping point, even if her brothers decided that going a bit higher was better. Inching her way up the tree, rather slowly, she caterpillared her way until she was within inches of the branch and then sprang forward grabbing hold and pulling herself up happily. She might not have climbed the highest, but she was quite content with her spot on the branch. The forest was full of life and colors and she could see a bit from her little perch and she thought she heard water running out of eyesight. Maybe they could play in the water? "Mother can we go exploring? I think I hear water nearby!" Vinaya loved water and the sound of it got her excited and she really wanted to go. A pity it wasn't raining too, it would be quite the day for her then.

Feel free to sub in any characters you like!
As for the siblings, I don't know what Split's boys personality is and Varali is still being played around with. So feel free to make up whatever you want.

And just so everyone knows. You don't have to name your Na'vi something Na'vi! XD It doesn't count against you either way. But I realized I didn't put that in the rules. Lol. So please feel free to name them whatever!
Though if you are looking for idea's, Vinata's family has a 'V' theme. Again, not necessary. 8D

I'll be your hunk of burning love!
Username: magnadearel
Cub's Name: Txeptsyìp (“cute little fire” in Na’vi)
Cub's Personality: Txeptsyìp is full of life and determined to live her life to the fullest. She wants to try everything at least once, and always at the head of the pack. When she doesn’t succeed at something she hardly gets discouraged. She knows she can’t be good at everything. Txeptsyìp will grow up into a friendly open-minded lioness who loves everyone. She doesn’t like fighting and will try to patch things up between disgruntled lions. She puts others before herself.
Future Plots/Goals:
1- Cub/Juv love- A little male she enjoys spending time with. Either staying together or just becoming friends as per rp/plotting with other owner. (I’d go for the latter.)
2- Reconcile- She comes across a couple of her pride members in the middle of a fight. Unable to let them remain angry she tries to help them solve their problem.
3- Healing- Txeptsyìp prefers to heal the spirit, but will turn her paw to the flesh when times call for it. She would be in the Priest class.
4- Love Me Nots- A mate for Txeptsyìp, either male or female, who can love her for who she is.
Prompt: Mixed
Txeptsyìp pranced just ahead of her mother, which was harder than it looked due to her shorter legs. She wanted to see everything. It was their first trip to the floor and everything was new. She paused to sniff at a pleasant looking flower. The scent was sweeter than she’d imagined. Txeptsyìp sighed happily. It was a shame her father couldn’t have come; maybe next time. She wanted to find something pretty for her mother and something awesome for her father. She bounded eagerly forward to spy what was next.

The sounds of two of her siblings arguing over something made her turn around and go back to them. A flower had fallen from the tree and they both wanted it. Txeptsyìp rubbed against them and purred soothing. “One of you take this flower and I will get another.” She looked up and spotted the tree with another flower nestled in the crook of the first branch. It looked rather high from where she was stand, but she was willing to try. Taking a deep breath she made a leap up. Her claws dug into the bark and Txeptsyìp started to inch her way up.

Pretty soon she was panting, and her legs ached. It was just so far. She was just about to give up when she reminded herself that this was for her sibling. Txeptsyìp made a last effort to pull herself close enough to the flower. She reached up a paw to knock it loose; watching as it fluttered down to her waiting sibling. Going down was much easier than going up. Back on the forest floor she watched her siblings walking away with a happy smile.

Happy siblings made for a happy Txeptsyìp. She beamed as she made her way back to the head of the pack. Her eyes were always spotting something new that she wanted to explore. A dark crevasse near the base of a treee drew her. She peered down into the depths. It wasn’t all that deep after all and at the bottom was a pretty blue and green feather. With care she pulled it out. As the light touched it, the feather glimmered. “Ooooh,” she breathed. It would be perfect for mother! Eagerly she bounded over and proffered the feather.

Her mother’s smile warmed her. She giggled softly and wandered off again. Txeptsyìp felt herself getting tired, but knew she wasn’t done. What could she get for her father that would be cool enough? The cub searched diligently. This was harder than it looked, but she loved her father. Back and forth she went, leaving no leaf unturned. It wasn’t until they were about to head home that something caught her eye; a twisted branch lying on the ground. As she passed it took on the shape of a leaping lion.

Intrigued Txeptsyìp walked over to inspect it. She walked by it several times to see the form. Then she noticed that at another spot it formed a bird taking flight. Delighted she carefully picked up the piece. Her father would love this. Diligently she carried it all the way home.
