Mei sat in the main library held for Clan Tremere, surrounded by old books and with a particularly heavy, esoteric tome in her lap. Though she had yet to develop a talent for the blood magic that was her clan's specialty, she was fascinated by it and she wanted to learn as much as she could. Lore had always been her forte, even when she was...mortal. Hmm, how odd it seemed to think of that time. That there had been such a time. Parents, a sister even. She shook her head and delved back into her reading. No time for such thoughts.
Also, it distracted her from the nightmare that had been her introduction to Caine. Why she of all the clan had been asked to go to the meeting, when she was one of the youngest...! And caine had effectively terrified her into utter submission. Now that her thoughts had wandered down that train, she couldn't get away from it. She tried to push it back, to focus on her reading, but the book in her lap was...shaking?
No, she was shaking. How...interesting.

Angele sauntered down row after row of books. She really wasn't interested in reading at the moment, but she was bored and there wasn't anything better to do for the time being. She sighed as she ran her fingers over the spines of the books on the current shelf in front of her, most she had already read and the ones she hadn't she wasn't that interested in. She left that row and was about to go down another when she spotted another sitting at a table not too far from where she was.
The bright red fur is what first caught her eye, Angele rather liked the color red, most of her clothes were red as a matter of fact. She watched the other from behind for a minute or so trying to remember if she had ever seen her before. After her quick study she determined this other must be one of the new little fledglings that had popped up a few months back when the glorious darkness had reigned for a time. AS she was studying the other started to shake. A small devilish smile spread across Angele's lips as she walked up behind the little red furred fledgling.
"My oh my, little one. Whatever is the problem? Why so scared?" She asked as she flipped the end of the fledgling's pony-tail with her fingers.

If asked about it, Mei would vehemently deny her initial reaction to the other's approach: she squeaked loudly and tensed up, nearly jumping out of her chair. Once her mind finished processing that it was a female voice (and also that the likelihood of Caine coming after her here, or coming after her for any reason, was slim) she closed the book and turned in her seat so she could see who was behind her.
Well, the lady vampire there was quite lovely. She didn't take much time to ponder that, however-she had been asked a question and everyone from the cockroaches on up was likely a higher rank than Mei, so she answered quickly. "I am not frightened. Merely...shaken. Slightly." Yes, lie, lie, lie. That was her temporary strategy. Whether it was a good one, well, that remained to be seen.
