(Sorry for not posting in a while. Have been busy. Finally got a job. Lol)
The breeze going through the beach was relaxing. The air here felt different, as if it carried the thousand thoughts of couples and smiling children, the elderly and the most feng of the shui. It was almost as if the spirits did not exist here, or they dare not bother mortal men. Perhaps they would rather not ruin the serenity of this place, one of the few nodes left in the world without violence and hate. The spirits did seem to regard themselves high and mighty, decisively judging men for their transgressions, and by doing so destroying only more. I should shut up, he told himself. Now wasn't the time to be thinking of spiritual hypocrisy. No matter what conclusion he could come up with, it would help no one. He'd save their motives for the "wise men" who grew to do nothing but count their golden coins and jewel their wives while spouting nonsense to the peasants. Nonsense about divine right and the laws of the Gods, the interests of the common man blurred between their own interests.
If he wanted to, he could go off on all of the ridiculousness of this world from this time until the very end. But he was the Avatar, and he needed a firebending trainer. All of his thoughts could be aimed in that direction. "You continue to look for a room," he told Sui. "I'll be at the beach." He walked down the pathway, and onto the sand once more. The sun was setting, and the view would be legendary if he were any simple commoner. All he could think of when the sun would set over the sea, and the red light would mesh with the crystal blue, was that it could not last much longer. Pessimism, and yet the realist approach. What a depressive Avatar.

Aiden promenaded along the edge of the beach, his bare feet moving across scattered rocks below him. Waves crashed against each other, sending tides of water towards the beach. The water was jettisoned to the land, stretching and stretching, until it could not reach further. Aiden was still a ways away from the vast ocean, so the water barely reached his feet. Places like this made him appreciate his homeland; The Fire Nation. But even his couldn’t keep him here for long. The young firebender liked to travel. He didn’t lie sticking in one place for too long. Aiden sat down, once isolated from the other tourists, and simply gazed at the sea. He came here often, so this didn't feel awkward; sitting alone while others paraded in their groups. There was a difference between seclusion and lonesomeness, but Aiden was accustomed to both.
After a little while, he stood up again, and made his way down the sandy slope. He moved downward towards the white capped waves, and waded through the clear water. Once the water reached his waist, he stopped. He could still feel the sand beneath him, so he wasn’t too far out. There was virtually no one in sight. Aiden took a deep breath with his nose, then exhaled through his mouth. He was calm.Aiden struck the air in front of him, stretching his arm out. Flames appeared from nothing, and launched across the water. It had been a while since he last bended, but that wasn’t something you just ‘forgot’ how to do. Another strike, this time towards the sky. Again, fire seemed to shoot from his extended fist, and high into the sky.
