[1 vs 1] just a little mismatched (Shun, Poke)[fin]

Now that she had settled into the school, and had a clue how to get to everywhere in it, it was time to test out the gymnasium. Poke had been aching to test it out ever since she got here, if only to see how she faired against the rest of the student board.

Now, the fun part was...who would she be able to spar with. She knew very few students at the school, and most of them she didn't think would be interested in something as rough housed as fighting. Although, there was one student she thought might be interested...

After a few days searching, she had been able to track down Shun and request a fight with he boil. Originally the dragoness had been a little reserved; she hardly knew him, and half the time he looked like he had wanted to shank something.

Now, she stood at the entrance to the outdoor arena, waiting for the reaper to make a appearance so they could get this started.

It wasn't every day that Shun received an actual challenge for a fight. It was even less often that he'd receive one from someone he barely knew. He wasn't really one to back down though, so he accepted the request for a spar. The Reaper wasn't really sure what to make of this, not knowing much of anything of the dragon. That wasn't enough to stop him. He was going to give it his all as usual. Generally speaking, he still needed to hone his skill of fighting with one eye.

At the designated time, he showed up, finding the dragon there waiting for him.

He didn't say anything.

Instead, he simply bowed to the dragon and summoned his daggers. Once they were at hand, he crouched down to get into stance.

Poke didn't have to wait long, as Shun had arrived, exactly on time. Though as he approached, she found herself glancing at the patch over his left eye. The last time she had seen him, he had both eyes, so what had happened? It was a very rare occurrence to see someone who had sustained a injury that didn't heal. She knew better though then to ask what had happened.

Once he had turned up, she watched him as he said not a word, and bowed instead. She in turn bowed, knowing enough that it was a sigh of respect and it would be rude not to return it.

As he took his own battle stance, she crouched low as well, clawed hands closing into fists. Eyes focused on shun, she growled low, noting the sharp daggered he wielded.

She wasted no time. With a flick of tail, she was charging forward, heedless of anything Shun may or may not do. It was how she liked to roll; head first, up close and personal, and right now she just wanted to get close enough to throw a punch.

Although no soon had she closed the distance had she misplaced a step, stumbling in her haste and wasting a chance to do damage.

Shun merely waited, watching Poke to see what she would do. He wanted to be able to gauge her style, how she might move and so on. Catching the flick of the tail before she charged, he narrowed his good eye before rolling off to the side as she came closer. As he came out of the roll, his foot planted firmly into the ground to launch him towards the dragon.

He sliced twice; one dagger went for a leg while the other was aimed for her side.

Planting her feet firmly in the ground after her stumble, Poke had barely a second to react before the reaper was on her. A sharp pain went through her right leg, and she hissed as his other knife got her in the side. She could tell her FEAR shield had just been carved up like a bird minipet, and she was not impressed.

But now that he was nice and close, she went on a counter attack. As he finished slicing her she took a step towards him, sending her right hand straight into his solar flexes, followed shortly by another towards his face.

She was quick to move onto a counterattack. Shun ended up taking the strike to his chest, letting out a light grunt as he felt her fist make contact. However, he was more ready for the follow up. The reaper brought an arm up to deflect her punch to the side.

From there, he crouched down even lower and flung his leg out in an attempt to sweep the dragon to the ground.

Poke felt her punch being pushed to the side, and then suddenly there was nothing below her. Her legs being swiped clean off the ground, her face had a nicemeeting with the ground. With a 'oomph', the air was knocked out of her lungs, and she spent a few vital seconds trying to remember who she was and what she was doing. Oh yeah, getting pulverized .

Pushing herself off her chest, a clawed hand reached outwards, swinging at Shun's leg.

Shun managed to move his leg somewhat out of the way, but he still felt her clawed hands rake against his calf a bit. It wasn't too much of a deterrent for the Reaper. Hissing lightly from that, he just moved forth and tried to stab down into her with both daggers while she was still on the ground.

Looking up, Poke's eyes went wide at the twin daggers aimed right at her. FEAR shield or not, she did not want to be shanked.

The dragoness rolled to the side, narrowly escaping the sharp weapons and quickly pushing herself to her feet. While the reaper was still crouched, she moved in to swipe at him again, though only managing to lightly scratch him this time. Jacking hell, this boil was tough.

Leaning back enough to just barely feel the scratch of Poke's attack, Shun and lunged for the other student. One dagger came across to slash her midsection, which he then quickly brought back around to try and stab into her chest. He wasn't fooling around here, that was for certain. The dragon didn't seem to be fairing too well against him, but that wasn't really an indicator for him to start going easy. Things could go badly should he lower his guard.

She may have been losing, but she was not going to blame Shun for that. It just meant she needed to practice more, that was all. But even so, she was pretty pissed off, especially when she was stabbed in the gut.

Stumbling backwards, her hand went to her stomach to feel how much damage had been done, and was not impressed when felt the wet sticky substance of her own blood. s**t, that wasn't a good thing, time to bring out the big guns.

She stepped back some more, to put some distance between her herself and shun as she formed the ball of water in her hands that would be her FEAR attack, and then lobbed it at the reaper.

And it missed, by a long shot.

Shun could sense a surge of FEAR coming from the dragon, and sure enough, she was forming a ball of water at her hands. Since she was bringing that to the game, he figured now might be a good time to try out the new FEAR he had developed recently. Diving to the right, he resumed his crouching position and stabbed them down into the ground for the moment. He held his hands up; a number of shadowed blades appeared between his fingers within moments.

He then flung them out at Poke, launching two volleys of the blades at her. After they were released, he scooped his real daggers back up.

With the many energy blades coming at her at such speeds, there was naught she could do but take them head on. With a strangled cry she was flung backwards, flat on her back as her FEAR shield shattered. On the ground, she coughed, tasting blood in her mouth. All things considered though, it wasn't such a bad turnout. She could have been skewed through, or even worse.

But as she started up at the sky, a thought occurred to the dragon ghoul. Slowly, she lifted her head up to see if Shun was still there

"Shun..what year are you in?"

Shun remained in place, just in case, though he soon straightened up once he was certain the fight was over. Quietly, he dismissed his weapons, then stared down at the fallen student.

"Third," he said, finally speaking up since this whole thing started. He had defeated Poke rather easily, making him wonder if she was a first year student. Or perhaps she had a rather off day. Stepping over by her, he placed his hands in his pockets, waiting to see if she could get up on her own.

If not...

Well, he'd decide if he'd help her up or not then.
