Mt. Katore

[Hiro the Herp]

(Before any of you tell me that I shouldn't have made this, shove it. Not in the mood, and two people needed a test.)

A rather huge mountain range, Mt. Katore happens to be the farthest in. Each peak seems to get bigger and bigger, it was said that Avatar Roku created these mountains in a battle.
The mountain is made from an extrusive, porous igneous rock. It is easily breakable, and it is advised that you tread carefully.

To scale the first peak you must do 3 posts of rolling dice. The second peak is 5, the third is 7, and the fourth is 10 post.

Guideline:
1-2: Move on by one post. Proceed as normal.
3: An eelhound has just scared the heebeejeebee's out of you, go back one post.
4: You've slipped and haven't gone up at all.
5-6:Go up two posts.

[1/1] Rogue sighed, she hated mountains, yet she had to do what she had to do. Hoping to get a head start so that when Michael came and climbed with her that he wouldn't be able to peer up at her panties. Really the one day she decided to become an Adept, she'd forgotten to wear shorts. Sighing she got ready to climb up. It was actually quite easier than she thought, so far she could see a bit above the trees. Glancing over to the other mountains she cursed for how much taller they were than the one she was climbing at the very moment.

[1/1] At the very moment, Rogue found that she was almost to the tippy top of the mountain. Rogue sighed, her arms were tired, imagine climbing a taller one, she'd get her arms numbed and fall off the damn mountain, then she'd die. Groaning to herself she clambered up higher and higher. Shuddering she looked down, she swore she saw Michael coming towards the mountain.

[1/1] Reaching the top she stayed there for a few minutes, then when she found it was right, she climbed all the way down. The climb down was the most frightening as it meant she could fall at any moment, however, she didn't and had reached the ground safely.

xxx Michael reached the foot of the mountain and sighed to himself. He had fallen behind Rogue and probably wouldn't see her until he got back to the training grounds. Beginning his ascent up the first peak he wondered why this was the test. [1/3] The first wasn't as bad as he imagined. He managed to keep to small trails mostly with the occasional climbing. He felt like the first peak was going to be too easy for him. [2/3] Getting close to the top of the first peak he started reaching more difficult terrain. He was starting to break into a sweat even. After one last climb he reached the top and then began his descent. [3/3] Starting the second peak was a little more challenging for Michael. As he started his ascent a wild eel hound burst from foliage, startling him. It stared at Michael, watching his movements intently. [0/5] Michael approached the eel hound, fascinated by the creature. He had never seen one before, but had heard they were extremely fast. Attempting to touch it, he slipped and fell as it let out a strange hiss. [0/5] Michael picked himself up and started climbing the second peak, the eel hound curiously following him from a distance. What he didn't know was that this eel hound was different than most. As he climbed the second peak the above average intelligence eel hound was deciding whether to eat him or bond with him. [1/5] Farther up the mountain this strange pair went. Michael had noticed the beast was following him awhile back but decided to ignore it for the time being. He was too focused on the mountain to do anything anyways. [2/5] As Michael began to get about halfway to the top, his stamina was dwindling. The eel hound was still following close, but showed no signs of fatigue. Michael pressed onward fueled by his need to become stronger to become the avatar's guardian. [3/5] This peak was actually challenging compared to the first one. Apart from the eel hound following him it mostly just felt like a time killer. He was closing in on the top of the mountain, the wind was getting harsher and the terrain steeper. Michael slipped and almost fell backwards down the hill, being caught by the eel hound at the last second. [4/5] Worry swept over him for a moment as he felt the breath of the eel hound on the back of his neck. He stood up and looked the creature in the eyes, it nuzzled against his chest and made another strange noise. Michael patted the eel hound on the head and continued up the last part of the peak. [5/5] He got to the top exhausted and weary. He sat down and gained his breath again before getting ready to journey down. He started the decent when the eel hound he now called Jakk knelt down. He took that as a sign for him to be allowed to ride the creature, climbing on it's back he motioned it forward. Jakk sped off down the mountain.

[1/1] Looking at the tall mountain, she gulped, it was much bigger than the last mountain she had climbed, however, luckily that mountain wasn't so big and nothing bad had happened to her. Seeing Michael get closer to her, she jumped up, ready to tame the beast, when, She'd slipped and fallen off, it seemed she couldn't get a good grip on the rocks.
[1/1] Rogue stood up, patting the dirt from her but she sighed. It was all or nothing, she really needed to pass the test as well, she wanted to prove to herself that she could make it far without succumbing to the darkness within herself. After all, no matter what person good or bad, they had both inside of them, like a ying and yang pendant. Jumping up she attempted to grab at a rock, yet the rock it'self had crumbled down and died.
[1/1] Rogue furrowed her brows as she glared at the mountain. "I will pass this test and you can't stop me mountain!" she said enthusiastically. Jumping up again, she found herself holding onto a solid rock, it didn't break or crumble either. Making her way up she found that if she worked it out, she had climbed what was two fifths of the way from the bottom.
[1/1] Still not giving up, Rogue felt her sweat drip down from her forehead as she climbed the mighty mountain, yet she knew she had more to go. Rogue was not going to give up. She'd waited for so long for Mako to finally give her, her adept test, now here it was, she was almost done, once she climbed this mountain, she was half way to completing her test.
[1/1] Rogue was three fifths of the way there, when she'd slipped again. Frightened, she hung on for dear life, not even bothering to move herself up or down as either could prove fatal to her. After all she was quite high up in the air, she could barely even see Michael too.

[1/1] Inhaling a shuddery breath, Rogue refused, absolutely refused to give up here and now. Hyping herself up she climbed high and higher. Blinking, she found she was sitting at the very top of the mountain, yet she still wasn't tired at all. Sighing in relief, she was half way through completing her test, she was almost done, it was fantastic, the feeling of almost being done, the feeling on accomplishment was running through her.
[1/1] Rogue stood up, looking over the sight of the Fire Nation she climbed back down, yet, she still had quite alot of energy left from the climb. Feeling she should just smile and rest her a moment, she did, not even bothering. Getting bored, she attempted to climb the third mountain. Everything was going awesome, she was what looked like two seventh of the way to the top, though that wasn't even very much, it was still quite alot off the ground when she thought about it.

[1/1] Puffing out her cheeks she gave a long and hard sigh. Moving her foot into the right places and checking the rocks she grabbed onto, she made it three seventh of a way to the top. It wasn't much, but she was happy with it, atleast she had made progress. Flicking her hair out of her face she looked up, she definitely had a ways to go until she finished, but she had the will to go on, definitely, she did.
[1/1] Wanting to finish this sooner so she could move onto learning the next part of Fire Boxing and Traditional Fire-Bending, she climbed up higher and higher, her determination and fuel driving her up the whole way. Stopping somewhere around five seventh of the mountain she sighed, she was tired and all, but she wasn't going to stop for anyone,even if they meant the world to her, she wanted this. To pass.
[1/1] Getting read to move on, she grabbed for another rock, not checking it fully this time. The ruck crumbled in her hands, if she hadn't grabbed onto the rock she had been holding onto before she'd moved on, she was sure she would've plummeted to her death, never to be seen again, not to mention she would loose her place if she fell.
[1/1] "Never give up Rogue, you can do it," she whispered to herself, grunting as she made her way up, higher and higher on the mountain, her sweat dripping from her forehead to her chin as she finally found herself at the very top of the great mountain. Looking down she gulped, it was pretty high up here. She shouldn't have even been standing up in the very first place; it was dangerous.
[1/1] On her way down, she dropped to the ground once it was a safe distance to. Rogue wiped the sweat off from her forehead, looking back to Michael, it was a wonder if he finished or, not, if he suddenly left, she wouldn't of blamed him. After all, all he needed to do was to climb two of the tall mountains. Mako figured that Mako was just being a lazy a** and gave them this kind of thing to do, it wasn't like she expected. Walking up to the final mountain she looked up. With sweat palms she attempted to climb the mountain, failing as she only managed to fall back on her butt.

[1/1] Puffing out her cheeks, she wiped her palms on her skirt and tried once again, moving slowly, afraid something might happen. Rogue was able to find that she managed to go atleast two tenths of the way there, yet, she was not even close to finishing yet. Resting for a moment, she found herself alone, Michael had disappeared, he looked to be going in the direction of the training grounds no less, puffing out her cheeks she wondered how long til she was finished the climbing thing.
[1/1] Rogue noticed a strand of her raven hair fall from her high piggy-tails. Puffing it from her view she looked up, he foot connecting with each foot as she only managed to move one tenth of the way up, meaning that she currently resided on the border of three tenths of the large scaled mountain. Leaning her forehead against the cool, rough rock she closed her eyes, keeping a grip on the rocks she held.
[1/1] Rogue climbed higher, the higher she went, she felt it was getting easier for herself, she was already halfway to the top of the whole mountain, rolling her neck as she closed her eyes she sighed. She hoped nothing bad would happen when she was up so far. Moving an arm off, she stretched it, holding on for dear life on the damn rock.
[1/1] Finally when she was about to move on an eelhound had scared the hell out of her, making her let go. While falling she'd grabbed onto a rock and sighed in relief she didn't plummet to her own death. Rogue swore she saw her entire life flash right before her eyes. Shaking her head she released her shuddered breath, so was almost to the point of crying.
[1/1] Rogue had found herself four tenths of the way from the mountain, meaning she'd lost some major time. She needed to climb back up immediately, as soon as Rogue hit where she was before at the half way mark, she pushed herself further, climbing higher and higher until she was merely six tenths of the way there.
[1/1] "That Eelhound was scary.. I hope it doesn't appear again.." Rogue said to herself quietly, seeing as Michael couldn't hear her because he had probably reached the training grounds by then and that he couldn't read her mind either it was great. Imagine if he found out she was terrified by eelhounds. She knew she definitely wouldn't live it down.
[1/1] Rogue was around seven tenths of the way up when she decided to climb higher, not even bothering to rest herself, her determination was clear in her eyes. She really did, truthfully want to teach Tohru, after all, it might let her experience it and maybe get a better relationship with people, she was awfully distant sometimes. Rogue was almost there, she was almost finished.
[1/1] Moving rapidly, she reached the top in no time and found that she was still totally energized, not knowing what to do now, she waited on the mountain and peered at the beauty below, closing her eyes as she felt the cool breeze on her. She was finally done.
[1/1] Moving down steadily, she felt more tired than ever, she'd moved quickly, therefore was able to reach the ground safely, patting off any dirt on her clothing she looked at the vast mountains that she had the honour to climb.
[1/1] Looking back at the mountains for one last time she left the mountain area, walking off to the training grounds as she finally completed her test. She was fully qualified as an Adept now, she was so happy.
