[ Task of War: ] The Feud
This task requires a group of AT LEAST two initiated members (students or Horsemen), to a max of five members. They may go anywhere in the Human World using the portal catacombs in the Lair. These catacombs lead to small human world towns only. All players must follow these steps to successfully create a blight and then harvest the Fear the battle that results from this

gaia_crown [ Step 1: ]

- You reach a peaceful town, and there seems to be absolutely nothing wrong with the town yet. It is time for you to take reins (ahem) in this town. First you must give them all a reason to fight each other. Only when the battle has stirred can you harvest the most Fear from their hatred and paranoia. War can be violent but first, it must start out small, controlled, like building a fire before it spreads

Roll a 100-sided dice. You may do as many times as you want, you are creating SUSPICION AND PARANOIA. Once your paranoia level has hit over 20 paranoia points you are ready for the next step. Rp out your results as you roll.
- A humans CAN BE NPCED that means you can rp as many "humans" as you want, including dialogue, etc etc
- War clan members start the team off with an automatic +5 paranoia points

1- 20: You see two lovers nearby, at a lake. They leave their oddly coloured metallic mount at the side. You quickly destroy their mount, watching as the couple return and begin to blame each other. Simpletons. +1 paranoia points
21- 40: You see a group of humans at a camping site. You quickly destroy their belongings, their tiny cloth home perhaps, or their metallic mounts. The group slowly and surely dissolves into chaos as they get angry at each other for taking and trashing things. +2 paranoia points
41 - 60: You see a crowd of humans waiting for something. You whisper words to the humans in line. They should be first. Why are they waiting. The crowd quickly dissolves into chaos. +2 paranoia points
61 -80: You see a small, tiny, fluffy creature that resembles a foxfire. You try to instill paranoia to it. It simply yaps and is annoying and does nothing else +0 paranoia points
81 - 100: You see what looks like a nearby school. You quickly do what you do best: kill one of the school wardens and sling their body for all those in the school to see. They are terrified. +3 paranoia points.

gaia_crown [ Step 2: ] - AFTER THE GROUP TOTAL IS OVER 20 POINTS.

Chaos and paranoia now reign supreme. It looks like humans are already fighting amongst themselves. This is the easy part, all you have to do is reap the rewards, and make sure that they do NOT resolve their actions. Resolving actions would mean that you get no fear.

Roll one 6-sided dice: Each player can only do this TWO TIMES MAX. Rp out your horsemen watching the humans engage in war.

- For each 1 OR 6 rolled, the humans have successfully resolved their actions. (No Fear points for this set of humans)
- For each 2 or 3 rolled, the humans have successfully fought and killed themselves, you can +1 Fear point
- For each 4 or 5 rolled, the humans have fought and not only that, they have spread their quarrel to other humans. This is a huge success. +2 Fear points

Tall YOUR OWN ROLL RESULTS from this step. This is the amount of Fear Points you have gained from this.

After their little friendly battle, Mei still felt as if she hadn't quite proven herself to the Horsewoman. She'd come close and certainly had kept the taller female on her toes. But in the end Shaheen had won. Mei just hadn't been quite strong enough.

So now perhaps she would try a different approach. Sharing an experience that didn't have them beating each other up. Perhaps it would ease things between them. And show Shaheen that Mei was at least somewhat capable in the Human world at least.

Stepping through the portal she found herself at another human town. This wasn't her first lair task so she was used to see such small towns. The Human world left her slightly on edge though. She always felt so disconnected and cold when she set foot in their world. Watching it's denizens for a moment, she turned slightly to look back at the portal she had exited from. Waiting patiently for Shaheen to join her.

Shaheen was always up for a trip to the human world to cause some much needed disruption and chaos. And if an entire town of humans was wiped out in the process, well, that was just the icing on the cake, really! And so she did not hesitate to accept and invitation to perform a task, even if it was with a student. She was still fairly certain that students could be useful, and that Medea would not have invited them to join the lost clans otherwise.

Cannon fodder was definitely useful, especially in war.

Shaheen flitted through the portal after the girl, eyes rolling over the town as she took on an almost lazy stance. One human town. One hot sun blazing in the distance. Same old same old. The cattle were out and about on their daily business, the town itself seemingly peaceful and quiet.

She was eager to get to work and change that.

"All right then, little one. Would you like to split up or do you need me to hold your hand to lead you around and teach you how to do this right?" Lips quirked up in the usual cocky smirk as she turned to look down on Mei. Shaheen was being her usual charming self.

She sighed lightly. Always with the snarky comments it seemed. Oh well. She has asked Shaheen to come with her in hopes that perhaps they might find some sort of mutual ground.

If the comment about hand holding bothered her she didn't show it. She'd learned since last time not to give that type of information away so easily. "We're suppose to work together but I guess I'll just go do what I need to by myself." She took off towards the town, leaving Shaheen to her own devices for the time being.

In a small garden she spotted a little creature that...kind of looked like a Foxfire. Huh. Creeping up to the little creature, she bent down. It yapped at her. "That other creature wants your....chew thingy. It keeps eyeing it and..." The little creature tilted it's head then began to yip and yap at her again. It didn't seem like this little thing would be fruitful to her cause here.

Shaheen's smirk only brightened as the ghoul brushed her off so easily, her gaze trailing after her as she let out a shrug. "Have it your way then, girl! I will see you in a moment." She spread her wings and took off into the sky, fingers reaching out to ruffle the child's hair as she flew past, her powerful wing beats sending her quickly into the town and out of Mei's sight. She would find the student after she'd finished her work in the town and keep an eye on her progress to make sure she was doing things right.

More focused on what she herself needed to be doing now, the war chieftain had a good look around, searching for just the opportune---There! It was one of the humans buildings of learning. Much like Amityville was to the students of Halloween, Shaheen could see humans of the more teenage description wandering around outside between classes, some entering the building while others pushed their way out. She landed on the roof top, peering over the edge before letting herself drop down to the ground and entering through the large double doors. This was something she had done so many times in the past she could practically do it blindfolded. She wandered the hallways until she came to a more official looking area. What the humans called a 'principals office'. She made her way inside, summoning her dagger as she strode up to the desk and reached out to grab at the woman who sat there looking over paperwork's neck. Her expression became cruel as her hand began to tighten, the woman's eyes widening her feet kicking, her hands reaching up to clutch at something that wasn't there. Invisible to her eyes unless Shaheen felt like concentrating enough to make her see something. But no, this was terrifying enough. The feeling of being strangled by some unseen force. Eventually the body went limp, and Shaheen released her. She was still alive, her pulse was thready, but she was alive.

She waited.

The womans eyelids began to twitch.

She waited yet more.

The woman let out a raspy sound as her limbs also began to become more animated, and that's when Shaheen struck, hand shooting out to grasp at the womans hair, tilting her head back, exposing her neck.

One smooth motion of the dagger across that pale flesh and her work was done, blood spilling out across the desk. The strangling of before hadn't been at all necessary, but it had been fun, to slowly squeeze the life out of the human, only to let her live, to give her hope....

And then steal it all away.

She probably could have been more creative, but she cared little for creativity at this point. Striding over towards the window set in one wall, she flung it open, then went back to retrieve the body, trailing blood across the floor as she carried her to the opening and shoved her through so that her body would lay out on the open ground, exposed for the student populace to see.

As she turned her back to leave, it was to the sound of horrified screams coming from the schoolyard.

Well, that little furry creature was no real success. At least she had decided to go off on her own for the time being. If Shaheen had seen that embarrassing first try she would probably laugh her a** off. And then say something just as equally as cruel and degrading.

At least she didn't have to fight during this task.

After leaving the creature, she soon saw a line of humans standing next to a building. She wasn't too sure why they were standing here. Or for what. But it seemed like a good opportunity to stir thing ups.

Slipping behind one of the humans farther in line, she leaned in close. Whispering in their ear about how they should be at the front. Why should they be all the way back here in the line when they are just as, no, even more important than those in front of it.

The human, taking the bait, grumbled and began to move past the others in line. Pushing the other humans to the side as they trudged along. Some of the humans grabbing at him to stop him but he merely fought back. And soon the line was dissolved as others began to join in the fray.

Mei merely stood there watching with a small smirk on her lips. This was more like it.

Shaheen took the the skies again as soon as she was out of the school, searching for her next target. Her eyes quickly landed on a couple near a lake, and she swooped down to land near a tree, leaning against it to watch them for a short time. They were sitting close together, cuddled up with each other. The man had his arm around the woman and was softly stroking her hair. So cozy. So lovely. So peaceful.

It was enough to make the chieftain want to retch. If she ever got to be that way with a certain executioner...No, just no. That would never happen.

She pondered a way to break up their happy little moment, casting a glance around to anything that she might be able to use. Oh, look! They left their metallic mount standing on the side of the road. This one wasn't like the others that Shaheen had messed with. It was quite small and stood on only two round, black legs. She strode over towards it, again summoning a dagger to hand as she slashed at the legs, watching them slowly deflate and the entire mount sunk nearer to the ground. After that she ran her dagger over it's side a few times, then lifted up a foot to kick it over. The noise as it crashed against the ground was enough to draw the attention of the young lovers, who quickly got up from their place on the ground and hurried over to see what had happened.

Only moments later he was shouting at her. Blaming her somehow for the destruction of his precious mount. Humans were absurd, and they made this far too easy.

After leaving the area where the line had been, Mei soon found herself near what seemed to be a human school. Human schools meant human children. And Human children were easy enough to manipulate.

Sneaking her way inside, she soon came upon an adult Human. The back of their outfit read "Janitor". It gave her small pause as she watched the human go about cleaning the floor. Moira was their own Janitor back home and she was fairly fond of the older Zombie. So she turned away from this Human and made her way down another hall.

Suddenly she stumbled upon another Human male. Without a word she lept into the air and punched him in the throat. Bringing him down to the ground before she pressed the heel of her foot against his throat and broke his wind pipe. His face turned blue as his eyes rolled back into his head.

Good.

She left him there in the middle of the hallway. The sound of shrieks and cries ringing in her ears as students and perhaps other teachers found the body laying there.

As she left the lake she decided to take a break from flying to instead travel along on foot. It wasn't long, once she got back into the town itself, before she found a familiar sight. Humans, waiting in a long line up. The building they stood outside of had flashing lights around a large white sign with titles inscribed upon it. The walls held posters of images, some with humans, some with monsters, demons, vampires....If she'd cared enough to do research, she might have found out that this was in fact, a movie theater, and the humans that were lined up were waiting for some 'new release'. It didn't really matter to the war chieftain. All a line up meant was that their was something desirable to be had, and that the humans that were waiting were likely anxious and impatient, which meant that they would also be easy to manipulate.

She walked along the line, singling out those who looked the most like they would be easy to break, judging by expressions and mannerisms alone. Those that showed the most promise got a few whispers in the ear, asking them why they should be forced to wait. Weren't they the most entitled to whatever it was they wanted?

By the time she got to the middle of the line, fights were already breaking out around the back. There was really no need to go to the front...except she did anyways, giving them a warning that there were those who would try to come and take what was rightfully there's.

So simple.

A little ways down the street, there was yet another school. But this one seemed to be for even younger children than the previous one. While Mei wasn't usually up for hitting a similar place twice, one couldn't be picky with what you were dealt.

Eyeballing the little kids who were outside playing, she crept inside. Peeking inside the rooms until she found a teacher who was all by herself cleaning up the room during the children's recess. Quietly she snuck up behind her, the teacher began to turn around but before she knew what was happening Mei lept at her and kicked her square in the chest. The teacher stumbled, falling over and cracking her head open on the corner of a nearby table. Her body falling to the ground as blood gushed from her head.

Well...that was easy enough.

The sound of children returning cause Mei to panic for a second before she found an nearby window and pushed it open to climb outside just as the kids came filtering into the room. It took a few seconds for the scene to register in the kid's minds. But as soon as it did the screaming and crying began.

And then Shaheen came across the same type of creature she had seen Shik playing with the last time they had come to the human world. It just ran out right in front of her, in the middle of the street. She eyed it, head cocking the side curiously. It turned and looked at where she stood, head also tilting to one side.

She let out a little growl and stomped her foot at it, and it just sat down.

Rolling her golden eyes skywards, she muttered something to herself and walked away.

Again another line seemed to be forming outside of a Human business. It seemed like everyone here though was in a rush to get to the front. Something about limited time and almost sold out things?

Huh.

She crept about, leaning in to a couple of the Humans. Whispering things about how they were almost sold out of whatever this place was selling. And that they would be hard pressed to find it anywhere else.

The crowd in the back of the line began to panic and pushed forward. Rushing up behind those in front and trying to pull them back so that they all could get into the business to get whatever it was they were standing in line for.

Mei merely stepped back and watched curiously. It reminded her of the time there was a super sale at the maul and all the ghouls in the store were fighting over things. It was madness. With a light dusting of her hands she skipped down the street with a smile on her lips.

It seemed to her that enough paranoia had been stirred up. Now to find the Horsewoman. Which, wasn't that hard as she soon spotted her stomping her foot at another one of those furry creatures in the street.

It was like Shaheen suddenly knew that she was being watched. She whirled around, golden eyes focusing on the small student. "Finished so soon?" She asked. The odd looking foxfire thing just turned tail and darted away, yapping at them over it's shoulder as it went.

She strode over to towards the student, one hand resting on her hip as she walked. "Do you know what happens next?"

Mei made no note of having seen Shaheen stomping her feet at the creature. Simply lacing her fingers behind her back and rocking on her heels. "Yes. And you?"

Tilting her head she watched the creature skitter away then looked back to Shaheen, merely a small smile on her lips. "Now we watch and reap the FEAR as the humans fight among themselves. If I remember correctly."

"If they fight amongst themselves. If we did our work correctly." Without looking, Shaheen summoned her dagger to hand and flung it at the retreating creature, the sound of of a loud and pitiful whine indicating that she had hit her mark, and when dagger was in her hand again, it was dark and wet with blood that she glanced down at before desummoning the weapon back from sight.

"So let's get to it then. Retrace your steps, check on the discord you have sown, and reap the benefits, if there are any to be had." A smirk went along with her words, as per usual.

"We can meet back here when we're finished, and then get out of this human infested wasteland and get back to the lair."
