DawnWalker Cubs Give-A-Way
Welcome to another cubgive-a-way hosted by me, magna. I just love cubs. Don’t you? There’s a few rules to read over, then you’re ready to begin. Any questions may be posted here or pmed to me. I am absolutely looking forward to rp with Desher’s babies, and hope whoever wins is too.
Rules~
1. Follow Gaia ToS, and SoA rules.
2. Anyone may enter. There are no restrictions on these cubs.
3. Acient Egyptian or Egyptian names are preferred, but not absolutely required.
4. You may enter for both, but only win one.
5. The pride is Tuait’tekem (Dawn Walkers). These cubs are to remain in the pride!
6. I will be judging this contest alone, as Davy is mia. If she returns in time, then she’ll be helping me. <3
7. No overly evil cubs please. Both parents are loving and caring.
8. Do not control the parents or siblings in your rp reply. You are allowed to mention them as seen from the cub’s perspective.
9. The twin IS diseased. This means she WILL go blind, and could pass the disease onto any cubs she has. If you enter for her please please be ok with this! (The tan girl is fine and won’t pass along the disease.)NEW! 10. Cubs may not have the exact name of gods. See pride info for details.11. More will be added if needed.

On To The Family!
Alright. Let’s talk family. These cubs certainly have one!
Mother(davyJnah); She is blind, but that doesn’t stop her. Hokulani was rescued by Desher from the desert.
Father(magnadearel); The proud papa of 7…… girls. Yup, you heard him. 7 G-I-R-L-S. He’s of the mind that a lioness should mind her mate and will expect his cubs to follow that too. Desher will love his cubs with his whole heart. He is also a seer that was triggered after meeting Hokulani. Usually of Lani, or now his cubs, getting into trouble.
Siblings
 Hebony Miw-sher(magnadearel); personality tbd, but expect her to be friendly.
 Maha-Aysun(krusnik05); personality tbd (The other Twin)

 Ahmes(Natsuko-neko); Calm and quiet, she enjoys learning about anything she can get her paws on or get someone to tell her about. She is quite physical and it's not unusual for her to lightly bump someone she knows, especially when she is close to them, with her shoulder or paw while talking to them.

Say say, what have we here? Two little lonely cubs looking for interesting homes. I’m sure a bowl a milk will do… Fill out the form and post it! I would like to see at least a paragraph for your prompt response and personality. One liners won’t cut it; doesn’t mean you need to write a novel either. XD
The Twin This girl carries a disease from her mother that will cause her to go completely blind.

Name: Haqikah
Meaning: Honest
Future Rank: Acolyte
Personality: As truthful as the day is long, Haqikah seems unable to tell lies. She is certainly capable of them, but honesty is, in her eyes, one of the best qualities you can have. Rarely getting into trouble or mischief, she prefers to spend her days following her parents around and helping out as much as she can. Her siblings scare her a bit with their roughhousing, but she tries to join in from time to time. A definite lover, not a fighter. She will grow in to a kind-hearted lioness that is a bit soft spoken, but incredibly wise.
Plots: She will be horribly concerned about her sisters as they go blind/suffer from blindness and might be a bit over-bearing towards them as she tries to 'help'. A lesson from mom might show her that eyes are not as important as she might thing.
Prompt: Prompt 1
Haqikah was distraught. Even though she was just a few months old, she felt immense sorrow for her siblings. She had learned a while back that two of them were blind, or would end up as such, and it just hit her now how horrible that would make their lives. Mother was blind, yes, but she was an adult! Adults were different than cubs. Bigger, stronger, smarter...it never crossed her mind, of course, that Mother had been a cub once as well, and that her siblings would be big and strong in a year or so's time.
She paced back and forth just outside of the den, whimpering quietly as she tried to think of some way to help them. Suddenly, it hit her! She lifted her head in excitement, her own grey eyes bright. She could be their eyes! She could walk with them everywhere and tell them where sticks or holes were, she could lead them to water, she could play with them and make sure they didn't run into anything...this was great! Decision made, she took off from the den to go find her siblings, eager to help in any way she could.

Name: Adaala
Meaning: Justice
Future Rank: Scribe
Personality: Strong-willed, quick-witted, and happy are three words to describle Adaala in a nutshell. She's a very out-going cub and isn't afraid to get her paws dirty. Her mind is a rather mysterious place as she'll say very grown-up things from time to time, giving others advice on their problems. She loves solving mysteries and will turn anything in to one so she can 'solve' it and parade around her victories to her parents and sisters. A bit on the silly side, she will mature as she ages into a far more serious adult, thanks in part to her eventual blindness. As an adult, she'll enjoy mediating disagreements or solving issues within the pride. Justice is blind, after all.
Plots: Once she looses her sight, she'll need a major wake-up call from her mother and/or father to get her out of her slump.
Prompt: Prompt 2
Adaala sat quietly by herself, punishment for her attempted sneaking away from mom to go play with a butterfly. She wouldn't have been gone for long! There was nothing to hurt herself on or be attacked by...what was the big deal, anyway? She turned to glare at her siblings that were playing some ways away, the alert ears of her mother keeping track of them all. Stupid Dad...stupid Seer abilities!
She had no idea what a Seer was, just that she usually stopped her from running off before she did. Mother said it was a wonderful gift, but Adaala thought it was stupid. How was she supposed to have fun if Dad was being all Seer-y and stopping her from sneaking away? She'd be back soon...sheesh. What a spoil-sport. Adaala crossed her paws as she watched her sisters play, sighing softly. Even just playing with them would be better than sitting here! She ended up rolling on to her back, watching them all upside-down. This was far more interesting.
She gave being a Seer one more though. Perhaps you could...read other's minds. Maybe that's how Dadr always knew what she was going to do. Hm...perhaps if she whispered to herself in her mind, he'd have a harder time hearing her. With the resolve to try that out next time she wanted to sneak off to have some fun, Adaala rolled back over and 'patiently' waited for Mother to call to her to tell her that time out was over.

When will she go blind? Late Adol
How well does she cope with it? She'll be deeply depressed at first. She had been told she would probably suffer from the disease, but she had gone so long without symptoms that she thought she might have evaded it. Life will be hard to manage as she's grown up with sight, but after some encouragement and with her determination she'll learn to live a life in the dark fairly quickly, relying on other senses and tips from her mother to help.

Name: Monifa Kakra
Meaning: Egyptian for "lucky" and "twin"
Future Rank: Acolyte or Priestess
Personality: A playful and happy cub, Moni will be always happy to play with her siblings or any other Dawnwalker cubs she meets. Overly charismatic she is hard to dislike because of how open and loving she can be. One bad thing about her will be that she can become too dependant on others and as her sight goes will become increasingly needy. She will carry a tom-boy type of air about her prior to her blindness, always wanting to be off doing things with someone and while not independent, still strong willed. Then as her sight goes and is lost, she will settle down and become more calm and cautious. Her tom-boy personality will slip as her sight does, but her charisma will not, and as she goes blind, her ability to make friends may become better because she won't have sight to judge people by. She will have to determine if she likes someone based completely on their personality and their voice.
Plots: I highly doubt she will win a seer ability in the rolls, so I think as an adol or adult she may go on a quest with a sibling or close friend as her guide, trying to find a way to become a seer or have her blindness cured. It won't happen of course and she will go off as a frustrated lion and return humbled by her experiences. I hope to have her stay close to the Dawnwalkers and maybe meet a god or goddess o her adventure. When she comes home she will have accepted her fate and while she will still hope she eventually becomes a seer, she will be okay with the idea it may never happen. In the event she -does- win the seer roll, I think it would be cool if she discovered this ability while out on her trip and then when she returns she tries to use her abilities to help the pride and such.
Prompt: #4
Blindness seemed inevitable with how her eye sight seemed to slip little by little every day, week and month. Maha-Aysun is her twin, and so Moni likes to remain close to her. Right now though, she was sitting by herself watching a sunset over the desert off in the distance. Her family was loving and kind, her father always seemed to be able to help any of their family in times of trouble, and her mother was strong in her ability to function without seeing. Maha though, was just like her, Moni that is, except their colors were reversed a bit. Like birds of a feather they are though, and Moni looks up to her twin and as her eyes slowly go, the more she relies on her sister for help, as well as her mother.
When Moni eventually loses her sight all together, it may put a strain on their relationship. How would her sister react to Moni constantly wanting and needing help from her twin? Moni sure would become a bit frustrated, even as calm as she is about the whole thing. Eventually she will go off to see if the can cure herself (she will fail of course) and when she leaves, perhaps its her twin that goes with her, or if she doesn't, maybe Moni is upset by this, feeling like she has been abandoned by her twin, the one she is the most like in looks. Her inverted mirror image. By the time she comes back though, she will want to (if Maha doesn't become her companion on her trek,) make amends and show her sister that she can figure things out a little better on her own, and maybe even help Maha in anything she needs. Moni will want her twin to know that she loves her and is there for her, to help her find a mate as adults, or whatever else she may need.

When will she go blind? mid to late Juve
How well does she cope with it? She spent a lot of time watching how mom reacts and handles it, so when it happens she will try to stick to mom like glue and learn how her mother handles day-to-day things, but she will try to be optimistic and open minded. She will also hold the hope she becomes a seer, like daddy, so she can see without seeing, in a way. (And even if she doesn't get the roll to become a seer she will always hold onto the possibility she will eventually become one, and maybe even get frustrated as an adol that it doesn't happen.)

Meaning: If any
Future Rank: Priestess
Personality: She is a very outgoing and determined girl, she will never let anything stop her and she will never let anything that has relation to her blindness be a limit on what she can do. She believes she has potential to be a great member of the pride and will go to extreme lengths for her family and run to their aid when needed. She is a very independent girl but as she grows, she will have renewed determination to sharpen her other senses and if need be depend on others.
Plots: None as of yet.
Prompt: 4
The blindness that she had inherited from her mother was slowly starting to show signs, as she grew, she relied more on the assistance of her family to get what she wanted and to her point. But it almost seemed like it was getting more and more difficult each day that passed, but she would not let that stop her from playing with her siblings and spending time with her family. It seemed that family was a great asset in her situation and she was not going to give it up just because she spoke from what her other senses gave her. The relationship she had with her siblings and parents were something she would not give up on as she would need to rely on them so much as she grew.
But once the blindness took full effect she would use her determination to sharpen her other senses so they didn't see her as anything different or incapable of doing what they do. She loved her family and she knew her family would not give up on her and they would provide help when she really required it. It was one of those things that made a big family tight knit despite the differences within the family. The relationship she had always had with her parents, got stronger as the blindness started to show and she was not complaining, she was in no situation to complain. Sure, she was aware that but she would not give up on it. She looked up to her sister as her role model and she valued her advice and help that her twin would give her no matter the case, because that was how much her twin loved her despite the slight difference between them. Her twin was always going to be her anchor and keep her down to Earth and would always be there for her and comfort her when she was a little troubled over the blindness. But that was a twin bond that would grow stronger every day.

How well does she cope with it? She may have issues with it from the start, but that just means she can work on sharpening her other senses. As she grows she will become accustomed to being blind and it won't bother her as much. She believes that she has the capability to do what her siblings do but just in a different way.

Meaning: Hidden
Personality: Amunet is the middle child of the litter and sure acts like it. The fact that her parents' attention doesn't bother her too much; she'll find one of her siblings to play with. When he actually is free, she LOVES to curl up and be with her daddy. She loves to tease her younger siblings but gets annoyed when her older siblings do the same thing to her.
Plots: A lot of sibling and parent rp, I would like to see more of how she treats her mom and siblings that are blind, I'd like to see how she handles being in such a big litter and if eventually she does get annoyed by not having more of her parents' attention. I would like to see her reactions to her dad being a seer and how she handles it when she finds out that two of her sisters are/will go blind.
Prompt:
Amunet felt her heart drop into her chest. Her momma was sick and she couldn't see. And her sisters were sick too and would end up just like Momma. She tried to blink back tears and wiped a few away with her paw before anyone could see them. Her momma would never get to see her or her siblings; what if her siblings forgot what she looked like and couldn't recognize her when they went blind?!
She sniffed slightly and took a deep breath through her nose. She had to be strong, she would be strong for them. If they needed her help getting around, she could guide them. If they forgot what something looked like or didn't know, she could describe it to them. After all what was a good daughter and sister for if not to help her family?

Meaning: "Sands of Time"

Personality:
Tou is a girl who is beyond lazyness and always keeps stuff in order and on track. She is normal, kind, bubbly, gigglish, ticklish, and random, but wants stuff to make her parents happy. She does act different around males though sense she is in a "all-girl cub" family. She never has hung around males a lot except father and just can't explain it. She always respect elders and does what she is told...sometimes.
Plots: that will come up on the future

Tou giggled, today going to create some havoc for once. Walking around, she was told to grab some some borrowed cloth and snickered. she saw some cloth for decoration and sheathed her claws, about to tear a chunk of it off but got caught before started by her father. Caught, she sighed and gathered cloth actually needed. For days she watched her, and her sisters, get caught by father. Finally, she figured it out and was surprised Father was a Seer but loved him more.
