 Ndege
Born alone in the last of four litters, Ndege grew up in a nomadic clan of warrior wild dogs. Loyal to the wishes of her parents, she trained to be a fighter with the rest of the dogs, but there was always something amiss. A storyteller at heart, Ndege left her clan once she reached adulthood. She found a new home in the Nyota-Wasomaji shortly after the earthquake, and is as loyal as any born-in member.
Chatty and energetic, Ndege wants to be everybody's best friend. She does not handle solitude well and is happiest when surrounded by other wild dogs, either telling one of her stories or listening to another's tale.

 Ucheachea
Although Ucheachea was sweet and a bit of a pushover as a child, as he's grown he's turned into a snarky terror. Try as he might, he can't resist the impulse to say something terrible. He's better behaved around female hyenas and relatives, but only marginally. He's a right angel when he's with his Ma, but he hasn't seen her since leaving home so there's nothing to hold him back.
He's currently looking for a couple hyenas willing to help him pay back a certain lion for being a right snot. The current plan is to find him while he's alone and sleeping and wake him up by whispering "your momma so faaaat" in his ear.

Mates and flings and things.
 Tendaji
Headstrong and stubborn, Tendaji rarely gives up on a task, even if the prize is unattainable. Gifted with a vivid imagination, he is a born storyteller, although he has the unfortunate tendency to fall too deeply in his own stories and believe they are true.
His mate is Tujil-dasu, a wild dog. They have a strictly platonic relationship, with the understanding that both are allowed to fling around.
As far as flings with Tendaji go, the mother gets final say on who raises the cubs. Tendaji would be more than happy to raise any unwanted cubs, even if they aren't his.

Mothôpô was uncommonly chatty as a child and would talk endlessly to anybody who would listen, but as he grew he became increasingly silent until now he almost never says at anything at all. There's nothing wrong with him physically or mentally; he just doesn't have anything to say. He spends most of his time in quiet introspection and leads to a calm, peaceful life.

 Uzoma
Uzoma is a somewhat restless cub, prone to mischief. If she doesn't like someone, she will make no effort to hide the matter and will do her level best to make their life miserable.
She has superb control as a seer, but can only See things if she looks for them. As such, she can only See those she has already met and has an easier time seeing the past and present than the future. She can not See gods.

 Azubuike
Azubuike is unused to change or experiencing new things, and tends to fall back on what he knew growing up. This has given him a rigid set of expectations and beliefs, along with a tendency to freeze up when pushed past his comfort zone. In short, he's narrow minded and judgmental. Asides from that, he's an otherwise decent guy.
He is lower-middle class.

 Ekwueme
Most of the time Ekwueme is sarcastic and distant, making frequent jokes at others expense, but when he is alone with his mate Añuli he transforms into a kinder, softer dog whose biggest worries are keeping her safe and maintaining her innocence.
After a recent lion attack, Ekwueme has decided that the best way to keep Añuli safe is to join a pack. He is Not Happy about this and will be extra sarcastic.

 Charon
He comes off as a little distant, but that's because he assumes everybody he meets is a ghost. Ghosts with flesh and blood bodies, but ghosts none the less. He lives near a river and is an excellent swimmer, spending most of his time on the side of the dead (the other side is the soon-to-be-dead side, so he doesn't consider it to be all that different) and is a bit of an apathetic loner. Oh he'll talk to you if you stop by to say hi, but don't be surprised if he wanders away half way through the conversation. He won't remember you later, or show any happiness at seeing you again.

Generally sweet and playful, Tujil-dasu lives in the present and sees no reason to worry about the past or future. All she wants from life is to be happy and for those around her to be happy too.
Her mate is Tendaji, a leopard. While she loves him very much, they have a strictly platonic relationship and she likes to spend time with other wild dogs to see to her more, ah, physical needs.
