The day was warm and Hong Tengfei was hanging out around the shores of the lake in the middle of the central house where he lived with his father and siblings. His paws were submerged in the shallow waters of the lake. He had his sights trained on the shallow water around his feet. In the water there was small fish swimming about in little schools. Tengfei was still as a statue staring at the fish. He wanted so badly to catch one.
His patience however was very short. He sprung into action as the fish came near and started batting at them in the water. The fish were much faster than his paws and as the mud settled back from all his movement Tengfei had nothing. He growled softly to himself rather frustrated that he had missed his chance at catching a fish. Now he would have to hold still all over again to get them to come back.

Hong Yun almost purred in contentment at the warmth of the day as she walked along grass towards the lake. She could both see and hear her brother as he splashed around around, though what he was trying to do she could not tell. She moved closer with a playful glint in her eyes, keeping quiet so as not to be heard over the water.
Once she deemed herself close enough she gave a grin and said "What are you doing Feifei?" quite loudly.

Tengfei had been paying no attention to the land around him so when Yun walked up and spoke to him he was not suspecting her. He leapt out of the water and landed with a splash. He whirled about to her with his hackles raised and hissed at her while looking funny as can be being completely soaked by water.
"DON'T SNEAK UP ON ME!" He snarled at her now breathing heavily with tons of adrenaline running through his veins and his fight or flight reaction in full fight mode. He had such an excitable personality that just a suprise like this sent him veering into over the top excited and when scared a very angry and snarly little terror.
