[PRP] A New Friend (Bennu x Adaala)

[Bennu] was up to no good. That wasn't uncommon with the rambunctious youth, who often stuck her nose into anything she possibly could. She came from a large family and had many siblings and while she often helped sit for them and could easily be an appropriate young lady, she had an insatiable lust for knowledge and exploration. It was this lust that often had her getting in trouble and her parents and sitters had to keep an eye on her when she felt she was being left to her own devices. She'd not hesitate to wander off and her current goal was the roof.

The last time she had tried to get on the roof, her father had caught her and carried her back to the den. Today she was determined to make up for lost ground and get as high up as possible. If she was close to the sky, maybe she would be closer to the gods. Regardless, it was a new place for her to explore and it wasn't off limits to the pride as a whole, as were some other areas that she was not brave enough to adventure to. Who knew what sort of fantastic adventures were awaiting her just up those steps. All she had to do was to finish climbing them.

Adaala liked exploring on her own. Without her siblings around to take the fun away, she could pretend she was some kind of explorer seeking new treasure and dangers. Her imagination would usually run away with her and, if it got dark or something scared her, she'd have nightmares for weeks about it. She never let her fear show through, though, and liked to act tough around her siblings and other cubs. When she explored alone, however, she could yelp or squeak and no one would hear her. Another bonus!

But today Adaala felt like seeking adventure with someone else. Her siblings were all sleeping - so boring! - so she decided her adventure would begin with finding someone to play with. The little lioness didn't need to travel very far. She spotted a dark cub climbing some stairs a few paces away, and quickly darted over to her.

"Hey!" she called out as she hopped up the steps after where. "Whatcha doin'? Where ya goin'? Can I come?" She gave the other cub a wide grin, hoping she'd let her tag along.
