((Random Solo to get my mind off of things. ENJOY GUYS.))
The desert was hot that day; not an unusual case for the sand dwellers. Few opted to seek out sustenance because of it, common knowledge being that it was much better to quench a thirst at night then to scale the afternoon dunes until exhausted.
But today, it seemed, that a local watering hole was occupied by an odd-looking pair. A lion drank from the pool eagerly, while a jackle some ways back sat in the shade; waiting. Something was on his mind, a suspicion made fact as soon as the male lion paused for breath .

Rambo “Yambi?” Mwanyambi “Yes?” Rambo “I was thinking--” Mwanyambi “Rambo, remember what I told you about those bad habits?” Rambo “…That’s not funny.” Mwanyambi “It was a little bit funny.” Rambo “…” Mwanyambi “Come on, don’t be so sensitive! I was only kidding.” Rambo “…” Mwanyambi “…Alright now you’re testing my patience. What is it?” Rambo “You’re getting old.” Mwanyambi "What?!" Rambo "You're getting old." Mwanyambi “…Is that supposed to be funny?” Rambo “Ahem, um…no. I'm serious." Mwanyambi “How old do you think I am?” Rambo “Old enough. Now, I know I can be a bit peculiar about these sort of things, but it feels like the right time. I bet with some hard work on your part, and with my investigative prowess, we can make this happen. I mean, you're not getting any younger, and I...well... ” Mwanyambi "Make what happen? No you know what, go on please. I'm dying to hear this. You...?" Rambo "Don't do that. I'm trying to have an adult conversation with you." Mwanyambi "Say it. You what?" Rambo "No...you're going to laugh at me. Look, this isn't supposed to be about Rambo. This is about Mwanyambi. Don't think I haven't seen you checking out those girls." Mwanyambi "I don't check them out, Rambo. Haven't you heard of non-verbal acknowledgement? Being polite?" Rambo "You're miserable. Admit it. You want a girlfriend." Mwanyambi "I'm not miserable. Rambo "You can't honestly tell me that my company is enough for you. Mwanyambi " No, but you give me enough of a headache already. I don't want another nagger in my ear all day." Rambo "...I don't nag you, Yambi..." Mwanyambi "Yeah well..." Rambo "Yambi, you've got to know this is tough for me to admit. I don't think anyone will be good enough, but...the least you can do is settle? For me?" Mwanyambi "I'm so confused...Where did this even come from?" Rambo "...Oooooooh, come on! Haven't you seen all the cubs running around? Don't you think their cu--...I don't know." Mwanyambi "... oh my god." Rambo "Don't look at me like that..." Mwanyambi "You want babies." Rambo "No! I want YOU to have babies. There's a difference, alright? And stop looking at me like that. You're creeping me out..." Mwanyambi "...You want my babies." Rambo "Okay obviously this isn't going anywhere. I'll just...go sit over there." Mwanyambi "No, no! Maybe you're right! Having some kids would get you off of my back for a while! You'll nag to them and not me! Man, what a brilliant idea, Rambo. Let's get started right away!" Rambo "...Shut up..."

The series of back and forth remarks ended as soon as it had begun. The pair remained at the watering hole for a short while longer before returning to the pride. In silence.
Despite what seemed like a strong disagreement, the hit to home could not be denied. Perhaps...he did need a female.
Perhaps.
But for today, and for as long as it would take, the jackle would most definitely be enough.
