Mehera had never been in the rouge lands and had never been so far away from her family before. Shoot, she'd never not known where they were before either. Her cheeks were still stained with tears from the loss of her home and family. After the catastrophe, there wasn't a home to return to even if she knew how to get back there. It took all her strength to continue holding in the pain and sadness that was engrained in her heart forever. Mehera sighed and hung her head low. The small juvenile cub had no idea what to do now. The only thing she could hope for was to find someone, anyone, who would be willing to help her. However, she wasn't to optimistic about it, after all, she had heard stories about weirdos living out here or prides who would enslave others or worse. Mehera could feel herself growing weaker due to starvation and dehidration but she had no idea how to fend for herself in any sense of the word. "Hello?" She yelled out, hoping someone nearby would hear her. At this point she would welcome the possibility of becoming a slave if it meant some food and water. "Please, somebody, help!" She yelled out once more with her raspy voice before she collapsed on the sand, her pink eyes mostly closed. Everything seemed to bright and loud even though there wasn't so much as a light breeze. Her breathing was labored and everything ached, the muscles in her legs were tense and on the verge of cramping again. "Please just let me die already." Mehera said to the sky, her eyes closing tightly together as if she was expecting something to happen.

That damned God.. Was she this weak to have been saved by him?.. She was saved once before like this. How did she ever walk away from this path that Glozelle, a mortal with the same teachings, had given her. She closed her eyes and reminisced about those days...

[ flash back ]

It was then that the lioness awoke in the desert. The sun beating down on her pathetic body, unless would be to find cover as there was none in sight. Her eyes squinted as she looked across the sandy desert. Running away from TWO prides that nearly could have killed her in one shot, her body seemed limp and tired from the encounters but she made it to free land. She was free… Sweet, sweet freedom. Finally, after all the time she was behind the confines of another. A smile grew on her face, but it was dried and chappy. Her tongue stuck out to cool down her body as she slowly pulled herself up. No time to waste here, she had to keep moving and this was how she got captured the first time and she couldn’t let that happen again. The sand was painfully so, she missed the rocky lands of her pride… The first time she thought about it in months.

Pulling her body up with a limp and took a few steps forward before crashing in to the hot sand face first. So exhausted, tired. Then lifted herself up before moving forward again… Head down and her body just dragging in a never ending way. Scars adored her body in every muscle and every face of her skin. A hard cookie this one was, a hard cookie. Pushing on again til she smelled something, she looked up.. A watering hole? No... Was she imagining this? Before her body went in to a full sprint towards it and right in to the sand again.. Yes. It was just an illusion before she laid herself out. Feeling now defeated... she will die like this! - [ Rp Reference ]

[/flash back end ]

She was much stronger than those days now.. But having a God bring her back to where she had come from..but still... he had not known of this loneliness inside her.. But it still the emptiness remained- on the same token, she had to wait for it to come.. He showed her 'love', a preview of what it should have been.. That one day she will know it.. But not only that love exists... but something grander than that. Something different... simple..

One her day of training again, to take her mind off the immediate loneliness, she saw.. something in the distance.. A lump of something. From her exps before this moment, Like Utsuki, it must be a body. Thus, she quickened her step to find out, she was correct and the call- was only gave her more proof.

"No." Zhen answered with a deep, and unrelenting tone, that almost hinted of kindness.. "You ask for help.. yet ask for death in the same breath?" Lifting an eyebrow.. Then circled around the girl until she went in the same position as the girl, lying on her belly not too far away, an unamused face.. "Which one is it- young one." Her eyes slitted, she was huge.. her muscles toned- she was a respected member of the pride that had taken her in now.. Having the distance between them as to not scared the girl off, yet still have her in distance to dodge for her if she tried to run. From the looks of it, her beloved desert had did a number on the cub... Like Glozelle once done for her- could not leave anyone out here. Especially those of youth.

The small and visibly thin cub hadn't noticed the lioness approaching until she heard her voice, which almost to be in riddles to her. Then again, she hadn't eaten or drank anything since the pride crumbled and that was quite some time ago. She was lucky to be alive now. "Huh?" Mehera asked in a scratchy, weak voice. It took her a bit longer to think about how to respond then it should have but Mehera was a little weary of the lioness, she had many scars on her body, who knew where they came from. Where they from a fight? Had she been looking for one? Had she instigated it? Or where they from something much more sinister?

Mehera felt her head dropping onto her front paws once more. The sun wouldn't let up on the heat it was providing the sand and she felt ill. Her pink eyes looked up into the lionesses orange one's for a moment. This lioness was huge and if she wanted to kill her for her meat, well she wasn't going to even be able to put up a fight. Mehera thought of her question. Did she want to die? Or did she want to live? She knew she didn't have long to live anyways, her body felt like it was growing numb and every step took more effort then it should. But did she really want to die? Surely her parents would be disappointed if she chose death. Then again, where they even alive? She felt her heart ache and it was then she knew which one she would choose. "Life." Mehera said, her small legs trying to lift her up, but their wobbling made it hard; especially with her dizziness. "I feel sick."

Thoughs gestures, and looks. All things she would begin to remember, remember enough to feel them within the girl. Her lips chapping, were all but memories now, as she now kept a steady level of water within her. All illusions of her past, the filling of sand going in to her lungs.. She remembered all of that. The lioness hadn't moved, not one bit since she had to see if the cub really wanted to live. Utsuki was beyond moving, unconcious, but she still grasped on to it. "Good choice." In which she waited for the other to get up before she too got up, and turned. Lowering herself slightly to seem less intimidating. Which, couldn't completely work with all the msucle mass she had.

Then, with the wingling, she knew the girl wouldn't be able to make it. So... slowly she came up to the girl, cautiously and snatched her up by the scruff. As soon as she did, the flash back of Glozelle doing it to her came in to view. Which, she pressed on towards the pride's outer springs... One that she knew very well, small. Yet, enough to heal the nearly dead. As soon as she came up to it, she dropped the girl in to the shallowest parts of it.

"Drink." It was an order, it was rough, and her ears went back as she lowered her body in to a lay to watch over the cub.. This, was not like the cubs she had taken care of. Ebio'Femi would know what to do after she got her there. Thats, IF she made it.

Her bright orange eyes, she saw so much memories fly past her. Slowly, she started to remember where she came from.. and wondered.. where this cub had came from. At least vultures didn't make way with her, like several others before her.

Mehera felt as if she was on the verge of collapsing when she was suddenly lifted up by the lioness. It was familiar, and until that moment she hadn't noticed how much she missed being picked up by her mother. She was having a hard time discerning what was reality and hallucination. The lioness felt like her mom, yet in the deep recesses of her brain she knew it wasn't her. Her mind flashed back to when her pride still existed, how the snow looked on the mountains, how she and her siblings would curl together for warmth. When her body was suddenly put into the water she quickly came back to reality. Mehera tensed up a little at the lionesses firm order to drink and she made sure she listened.

As soon as the water hit her tongue she gladly gulped it down, ignoring the protests her body was giving her. After a few moments she was forced to stop in order to keep herself from dry heaving. It took her a moment, but she reminded herself that there would be water later. Then again, she was from the mountains and water was plentiful there. It was also much colder than here. Her eyes scanned the pool of water but it seemed it was just her and the lioness. Mehera laid down and gently rolled herself onto her back and then back onto her belly so that she was covered in water, trying desperately to cool herself down. Once more she found herself looking at the lioness and thinking about how kind she was and how in minor ways, she was like the mother she had lost. But she wasn't her mother.

Mehera waited a bit longer before she picked herself up, this time she was able to walk on her own albeit a bit wobbly still and made her way over to the lioness. She didn't know anything about her or what she would do, but she didn't really care. There was a desperate need in her to be comforted, to feel the warmth she longed for despite already being so hot. Mehera gently inched herself close to the female before she finally pushed herself up against her side, somewhat near her face and rubbing her head against her side just behind her front leg. A soft and weak purr rumbled out of her.
