Did someone say FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD? - What others will notice, first and foremost, is that when food is involved, Take is there. He raids kitchens, marketplaces, even dumpsters, for food.
Food was a massive part of his death and thus it is a trigger of both good and bad memories. Good because the constant hunger in his stomach can be possibility satiated, but bad as the pain and terror of his death comes back. Not in full memory, but think of it like a 'blip' of feeling.
Trickster - When he's not eating or thinking about food or getting food or talking about food, Take loves to play pranks and tease the gullable. He's not necessarily mean, but he's not all that nice either. C'mon, he's a revenge spirit! Takeshi enjoys placing buckets of water over partially open doors, or chili powder in the pants of the unsuspecting. He tickles people and disappears.
Vengeful - Remember the food thing? This plays into it. Let us say that some poor unsuspecting fool swiped some of Take's food. After the battle that surely ensued, that won't be the end of it. There is no telling to what lengths Takeshi will go to get revenge on the person. It might be as simple as some crueler pranks, to destroying their room and beloved items. Takeshi holds a grudge for seemingly ever.
Food is the best way to end a grudge he is holding against you. If you give him food, he will calm down dramatically and be willing to think on what or why he was mad. Heck, sometimes he'll forget why he was upset in the first place.
Possessive - What is his is HIS and not yours. It is never 'ours', only 'his'. If you befriend Takeshi, you become HIS friend. Deciding to hang out with another friend is absolutely forbidden. He's never really had a friend, so this might change with some explanation, but don't expect it to go away.
Takeshi is amazingly clingy. He loves his friends dearly and wants to spend every day or every minute with them talking, playing, and eating food. It is not so unlikely that he sneaks into their rooms and sleeps. In part this is fear of losing that person, or having that person turn their back upon him. If Takeshi is always there he can watch the signs and know when to high tail it out of a friendship or situation.
Loyal - Takeshi will stay by you through thick or thin. If you are his friend then he will be there for you, but if you wrong him, things will become very very tricky. As much as he would love to be that being who will be there for you no matter what, it is impossible for him to let go of all previous memories. You will need to bring back his trust, which is not going to be easy (though protip: food makes it easier).
Easy to Please - Friend? Friend! He loves seeing a friend, even briefly will bring him great joy. Scratches behind the ears and hugs make him happy too. Food is the best gift and really, he'll love you forever and ever and ever if you make him or buy him something to eat.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? The few times Takeshi has had food taken from it (all the times were rightful, it would be good to mention), a bad memory has surfaced. There is this urge to get into the human world. A compulsion. Someone is THERE that he MUST get revenge upon. He enrolled into the academy in order to get into the human world.
After the meta events, Takeshi is now seeking a way to calm and let go of those past feelings. He does not want to go to the human world and exact revenge. Mostly he wants to learn how to move on. This is very important to him. While at times he might be tempted to go rip to pieces something or someone that killed him, he feels best when moving forward. Also making friends and getting a family of sorts would be pretty boss too.
FEAR Ability: The Chill - HUNGRY HOWL Takeshi howls deeply, filling his allies with a blood lust that heals them and possibly increases their attacks.
Physical Description:
Eye Colour: Red Hair Colour/Style: His hair is white on top and as it goes lower it becomes black. He has it slicked back most of the time Skin Colour: Extremely pale, almost gray in pallor. Clothing Style/Colours: Takeshi dresses rather dapperly. Nice slacks, a shirt with waist-coat, a little black neck-bow, and often cuff links. There's tears, blood, and dirt on his clothes though and where tears appear, you can see bone poking through. Extra: He has a dog's tail and ears as well as obviously sharp teeth/fangs. History
Inu-gami are made by men in what is often a complex and multi-stepped ceremony. It begins with a dog, who is burried into the ground up to their neck. The dog is then left there beside a full bowl of food and water - just out of reach. Days pass like this until the dog is delirious. Then, the creator of the Inu-gami cuts off the dog's head and takes it from the site of the body. This is said to remove the dog's 'need' of food in the spirit world, so the need - that vicious hunger - can be used by the human creator as a weapon.
Inu-gami are very hard to control, almost impossible really. After an Inu-gami has been made and used, it often turns upon its maker. Some say dropping the body and head of the Inu-gami on a remote island can help the creator, but not always. Most of the time the creator is plagued and killed by its creation.
This was not the case with Takeshi. Takeshi was raised and bred for the purpose to become an Inu-gami. When he turned 3 human years the process was preformed upon him. After his task was complete, his creator was able to successfully put the head and body together and leave them on a remote island. This sealed Takeshi's spirit away, and into the world of Halloweentown.
Recent History
As a new denizen of Halloweentown, Take has no memory of his years as either a weapon or as a dog. However, when food is taken from him, faint memories rise. Nothing solid, just the feeling of hunger/despair/hate and above all revenge. Eventually he got the urge to go to Earth and act upon these shadowy hate filled feelings, only to learn he could not! So, seeing no other route, he enrolled in school.
After some time, those feelings of revenge have become bothersome. Instead of wanting to kill someone, he just wants to move forward. School has taken on a different light all together.
As his change in outlook has gotten drastically better, Takeshi has a makeshift parent of sorts. Bellows Watson, an older spirit of an inu-gami, has agreed to act Takeshi now has a family of sorts that he belongs. It's a new, odd sensation, but not unwanted.
Q&A -- Gonna add some questions that come up/some questions that I think of.
Q. Is his design set in stone? A. No, not exactly. What I mean by this is that, if you are observing his profile, then yes. His design is set. If I get so lucky to be QF'd or win a raffle, and an artist looks at his design and either A) Can't work with it or B) has a better design in mind, then it will change. His extra features, eye color, and dressing style I'd like to keep. However hair and even WHAT he wears in the style can be twisted. Heck, anything really. I'd be super grateful!

Dislikes - Losing Food - Being Spooked - Mixed emotions (he's got a tentative grip on his own! Don't make them more confusing) - Cold - LOUD sounds. He's got sensitive ears, oi! - Loneliness (despite not understanding how to get or keep a friend, Takeshi REALLY hates to be alone).
FEARS - Being trapped under ground. Takeshi is extremely claustrophobic.
GET INSIDE YOUR CHARACTER'S HEAD! aka The Excessively Detailed Headcanon Meme
1: What does their bedroom look like? It is filled to the brim with useless nick-nacks that are mostly always shiny or smell tasty. Bones and balls also have a tendency to litter the floor or bed or closet or shoes. Prefers to sleep in one of the drawers of his dresser, so it's almost always open with blankets curled in a nest. His bed is piled with random crap (more of it) and his school work/books. Lord knows if there was a desk in that room.
2: Do they have any daily rituals? Many! When he wakes up, Takeshi stretches and then goes to seeking out his various precious piles, the few items that he covets above the rest. Once they are accounted for he goes for a stroll and stretches out his body. After that he puts on his pin and runs to the school cafeteria to bother any poor lunch ghoul for scraps (or meals). In the evening he does his school work and then goes to walking around the dorms, seeking out things he can swipe/take back to the hoard o' shinies.
3: Do they exercise, and if so, what do they do? How often? Takeshi walks every morning, but for strenuous excercise, only about once or twice a week. He's rather lazy and dislikes how the more solid pin form can get so sooooore. After being a transparent ghost who can fade in and out of walls, dealing with a physical ache is just such a bummer.
4: What would they do if they needed to make dinner but the kitchen was busy? Takeshi? Cook? The last time that happened there was a massive fire and it looked like a science experiment gone horrifically wrong. Normally he just jacks some food from another student, but if all else fails he heads out of amytivlle to go and find foods at a vendor or something. Normally he's got something to snack on hidden in his room, so he's good most of the time.
5: Cleanliness habits (personal, workspace, etc.) Well, he's messy and cluttered, but not dirty. He's got a lot of stuff. a LOT of stuff, but it's organized in a weird way that makes sense to him.
6: Eating habits and sample daily menu Takeshi typically swipes food in a more ethereal form so, there's no 'eating', honestly... He eats anything and everything that comes his way. His love for steaks, potstickers, crab ragoons, and pizza pockets knows no bounds, though.
7: Favorite way to waste time and feelings surrounding wasting time Takeshi loves to rearrange his hoard of things and inspect each item, fondly reminiscing on what or when he got them. Each one has a bit of a story and is precious (even if the story is "I STOLE THIS FROM A JANITOR HAHA"). He doesn't go out of his way to waste time, but he enjoys doing that once or so a month.
8: Favorite indulgence and feelings surrounding indulging Sometimes he sneaks into the library and looks around at things and tries to chat with people. Takeshi is pretty socially awkward, but he does yearn for friendship and companionship. Dogs, in general, are loyal companions and Takeshi craves that sort of friendship (not necessarily ownership). He doesn't like to show his feelings and is nervous about trusting others, so it bothers him when he indulges. It's a spur of the moment idea that leads to much grumpy ruminating later.
9: Makeup? It tastes okay, but only in a pinch!
10: Neuroses? Do they recognize them as such? None that he (or I!) am aware of, unless the obsession for food counts.
11: Intellectual pursuits? He really likes Fear Mechanics and History the most. Especially History.
12: Favorite book genre? COOKING!
13: Sexual Orientation? And, regardless of own orientation, thoughts on sexual orientation in general? Confused, but more than likely Bi-sexual. He's never had a lot of experience with the romance department. It just has never come up properly. Well, love is weird and new to him and everything is just weird in general when it's not involving food or revenge, so really what does he care if you're a dude and like dudes? Or a chick who likes chicks?
14: Physical abnormalities? (Both visible and not, including injuries/disabilities, long-term illnesses, food-intolerances, etc.) He's got massive scarring around his neck. He just counts himself lucky that his neck doesn't bleed or ooze blood. He's also really easily sickened by the smell of ginger root.
15: Biggest and smallest short term goal? Biggest: Figure out how to eat Food. Smallest: What's a bathroom?????????
16: Biggest and smallest long term goal? Biggest: Find his maker and kill him. Smallest: Find a BFF
17: Preferred mode of dress and rituals surrounding dress Takeshi is a dapper fellow. Why would a dead dog want to dress like a dapper gentleman? We just do not know,but he does! Take finds himself enjoying the multiple layers and how it all looks on him.
18: Favorite beverage? Soda Pop!
19: What do they think about before falling asleep at night? He often thinks of a faint memory of warm, fuzziness that is pressed against him and the feeling of squirming bodies around him. It's comforting, but bittersweet at the same time.
20: Childhood illnesses? Any interesting stories behind them? Unless you consider being buried neck deep in dirt and left to die for three days as an illness, then no. no real illnesses or stories.
21: Turn-ons? Turn-offs? Romance and those emotions are relatively new to him, but he finds that long hair, coyishness, smiles, and a like of food makes his heart go doki doki.
22: Given a blank piece of paper, a pencil, and nothing to do, what would happen? He would attempt to eat them. Then possibly get upset when they got angry, or if they allowed him to eat the paper and pencil, upset that they tasted so gross. Yucky!
23: How organized are they? How does this organization/disorganization manifest in their everyday life? It's been covered in other questions, but Takeshi is pretty much disorganized/organized 24/7. The only thing orderly is his clothes.
24: Is there one subject of study that they excel at? Or do they even care about intellectual pursuits at all? He doesn't really care much about the intellectual pursuits, but he does enjoy History quite a bit. That and gym because RUNNING IS REALLY FUN OH BOY OH BOY PLEASE THROW ME A BALL.
25: How do they see themselves 5 years from today? On earth over the corpse of an unknown being, satisfied.
26: Do they have any plans for the future? Any contingency plans if things don’t workout? Nope.
27: What is their biggest regret? You know those blue things they have in the weird porceilen water things (Cleaning tabs in a toilet)? Yeah, they taste bad. Reallllllllllllllllly bad.
