Ean menar was very nervous here... considering all she had really done was follow that wounded lion here, lose track of him, had the pride help find him and she was now hunkered down in waiting; while everyone was fussing over in the... well the medical area she supposed. Her pale lillac eyes simply stared out at everyone as they passed. She assumed they were all busy or that they didn't notice her in the clump of ferns that were so similar to her in color; it was odd. She wanted to go out and talk to someone about this place; she wanted to raise her voice and say something but.. she was shy... She was probably the shyest lioness in the world compared to these lions. They were all so friendly and sweet. Everyone was very strong and wise in their speaking and seemed to care for one another like family. She wondered if that was normal for most prides. She tried to slip out of her hiding place but lost her nerve and slipped back, looking defeated.

Golden eyes silently surveyed the chaos of the pride. There were several new faces, but many old ones... and a few were missing. She didn't yet know how she felt about the overthrow of the throne, and had mostly just kept out of the way. She was just a huntress, after all. She hunted. Not much else. So she watched all the shades of blue and white rushing around - even the plants were writhing with energy. Then she spotted something unmoving - some new face, white and blue like all the rest (all but hers of course, which was almost black, helpful for hunting). So she crept up on the nervous-looking female, confident and quiet. "Are you alright?" she asked softly, her golden eyes piercing into the other's.

Ea hadn't noticed the lioness right away. She was so busy trying to make herself brave enough to go see if her friend was alright... were they friends. She didn't even really know his name... she had met him when he was iill and never bothered to ask. She sighed, before startling at the sound of someone's voice... close and directed at her. She lowered herself to the ground in a shy manner before gazing at the dark faced lioness. She swallowed... "Me?" She squeaked; her pale eyes looking around nervously. "Um... yes.. I am alright... I um... came with the male who was bitten by a snake..." She said simply, her paws working the dirt under them as if in a nevous habit. "I um... didn't want to bother anyone with... being by him... while he was being helped... so I um... stayed here... " She added, looking at the fern that was ever so nicely hiding her.

Very submissive, this new lionness. Very pale. If it wasn't merely the color of her fur, she could have sworn all of the color had drained out of her from fear. Many of the lions - new or otherwise, shared this draining. Everyone could feel it, the strain. However, she had no idea what the stranger was talking about - someone being bitten by a snake? It didn't matter. This lionness needed some form of comfort. So she interrupted her, coming up to press her side to her flank. Contact helped with cubs, it could help with shock. "Come with me," she instructed calmly, leading her away from the rush and chaos. Whatever her story was, she would listen once the other was calm.

Ea was sort of thrown off when the lioness came and put herself against her; though it did make her feel a litlte better. She didn't look nearly as shaken as before; though the paleness in her eyes still gave off a certain child like softness. She bit her lip and simply nodded; following with hesitant step as she left her haven of ferns and into the hub-bub of the pride. She kept close to the lioness and had to try to figure out what to say... something... anything... "I am Ea Menar..." She said softly. "I don't think... anyone knows that. They were so worried about my... friend... I don't know his name..."

"You will learn his name in time," she said as soothingly as she could. "I'm sure he will be fine." It was all in the hands of the mother. She would look over him. She always watched over her pride. Though now the pride was being torn apart, and she didn't really know what was going to happen - or what had already happened, really. She thought maybe this stranger could tell her something, but it would take a few more healing words until then. "You may call me Hehku, Ea Menar. I'm glad to be the first here to know your name." She directed Ea to lie down, and laid beside her, keeping her flank pressed close. Eye contact would have helped too, but perhaps her warmth was better in this situation. She took slow, deep breaths, purposely exaggerating to urge Ea along. As she felt the lioness' anxiety flow slowly out of her, she continued: "Now, tell me what brought you and your friend here."

She simply nodded, though she wasn't sure. She had left him with delusions to look for water and returned to nothing; and then to be surrounded by so many lions all at once; and they came from no where... at least it felt like it... She smiled softly and nodded in acknowledgement. She chuckled. "yeah... everyone was too busy I... i understand... and there are so many here..." She looked around, watching a passerby with curiosity.
She lay down as directed and crossed her paws in front of her trying to seem as comfortable and calm as possible. "I was traveling... I haven't been staying in one place much... I feel restless when I do and then I move on... and I found this pale male stranger with a snake bite and he could barely keep himself upright... so I decided to help him... I don't know anything about him but... I know that I am strangely afraid of this place and at the same time; I am intrigued... what is this place called?"

Hehku stopped shortly as she listened to the story of the snake bite, but continued her deep breaths so as not to throw off Ea. Now even she wondered if he was okay... but apparently she would have to find out later. "Well you can stay here for as long as it takes," she said reassuringly. "Here in the Iknimaya. I assure you it is quite safe near the heart of our Mother."
Someone would likely have to tend to her friend - or stranger, whatever he was. "Where did your friend go?" she asked, after another pause. At least Ea seemed to be gathering herself together a bit more, which was good. She was lovely too, a soft blue color that would fit well with the pride. Hehku hoped she would at least stay long enough to perhaps finally find a home. She could never imagine leaving this place.

She sat and fumbled around with her paws for a moment before her eyes rose to nod in acknowledgment to the female. She had been contemplating staying here... it seemed nice enough and she felt safe... and everyone seemed well taken care of and healthy. She looked around for a moment and then back to Hehku. "He um... went to where he could be healed and rested..." She said simply, not knowing where that was.
"I have thought about staying... I just... am nervous I guess..." She a pale glance this way and that; her tail tip twitching lightly in nervousness. "This pride seems to be pulsing with life... as I have seen in my time here..."

"Then I know he is in good hands," Hehku said gently, smiling. "As are you, Ea." Her golden eyes connected with the other's soft silver ones, sending soothing thoughts. Only the newcomer's tail was twitching now, and she had calmed a great deal. Hehku had done well to welcome her, hadn't she? Her own tail was twitching, but gently and reassuringly. It was apparently taking a great deal of convincing to settle this female. "You should stay," she said finally, confidently. "There is more life here than you could ever imagine. Perhaps yours is here, too."
Hehku stood slowly, encouraging Ea to do the same. With her tail across the other's back, she lead the newcomer deeper into the heart of the pride. As the land swallowed them, blues and greens and a soft light soothed them equally. It was so beautiful here. Despite any chaos that may be developing, the great spirit of the land around them would always provide a haven.

Ean was comforted by Hehku's words and smiled softly. She hoped that the male was safe and would stay here too... he'd fit in maybe... just maybe... She smiled again when her new friend told her she would be in good hands here... and she nodded. "I hope so.... I think I'll stay for a while..." She said with a smile.
With this she stood and followed her new friend.
