This will basically serve as an organized location where I can keep track of all of the super-important litters I'm involved with. This is for those I've invited as much as me -- I found the constant lack of updated information very frustrating for RPs.

This way, you'll be able to go to one place for updated information on all of the siblings/parents.

Snag yourselves a post, and follow my lead! I'll keep this front-post updated with direct links to all of the family members and names.

Right now, this will serve as organization for Veru & Moto'Seide and those directly involved.

Veru & Moto'Seide
Basic overview

User Image

While heavily involved in the Sentinels beforehand, both Seide and Veru returned to the Firekin lands after Moto'Seide began to show signs of pregnancy.

Both parents will be present during the growing cubs lives. For at least the duration of their cub lives, the offspring are not likely to have seen any Sentinels present in the Firekin lands. As far as they know, it is simply something their parents had done, that was honorable.

Later in life, following with the Firekin plot, this may change. Both cubs will have heavy contact with their god-father, Shunqa, who is Seide's brother and therefore their uncle. They will also be often sent to visit with their grandmother, Kaanga, and grandfather, Upendo'Mpaji.

I've chosen to just organize the information in this post, but you may simply link to a journal you keep updated if that's easier for you.

Mother - Moto'Seide

Rank: Legate (On Leave)
Brief Personality: Seide is a very strict, firmly logical lioness with a strong heart. She believes it takes sacrifices to improve many, but she is also the first to be willing to take those. While she makes a decent leader, because she listens, she also has an inner fear that she will never be the natural leader her sister, An, was, and this hinders her progress. If pushed, Moto'Seide turns very cool and collected, as if taken out of an emotional state entirely. She's a fighter to the core, and loves her heritage and a good spar.

Behavior/Relationships: Moto'Seide is a successful, strong warrior, and their children will be expected to be the same. This is not to say that Moto'Seide wants them all to grow up to be fighters, after all, their father isn't! However, she isn't inclined to raise quitters, and expects hard work and a good ethic from all of her children.

They will be raised to respect their elders (their grandparents, at the very least!), and use their minds. If one of her children can provide a logical, intelligent reason for doing something, it's very likely Moto'Seide will let them, even if she didn't agree with it to start. When they are old enough to wander, trouble makers will be assumed to not have enough work to do, and will be sent to aid adult lions or do chores around the house.

Despite this, Moto'Seide loves her children and is relatively easy to sucker into child-like adventures, despite the fact she seems all business. There is a reason she chose Veru! If the cubs can get her to smile, they've won whatever game their playing, and there will never be a shortage of love from their mother. They're her first cubs, so she may even be considered slightly overprotective.

Extra: While she's not out acting as a Legate directly, Moto'Seide still can't help bringing her work home with her. If the family chances by the training sands, you can bet she's going to be giving tips. And, when it's Veru's turn to watch the children as they grow older, the training sands it the most likely place to find Moto'Seide. She just can't help it - she's addicted to work.

Brother - Huo

Rank: Cub
Brief Personality: Poor Huo is not his mother's son at all! In fact, one might wonder where on earth he got his horrible temper. His father doesn't have one, nor his uncle, nor either of his grandparents.

But a temper is certainly what Huo has! He's heavily governed by his own emotions, and follows them much too blindly. When he's young, he'll be inclined to hit when he's very agitated.

That being said, he's not a particularly loud cub (though he's a bit bossy). No, he's too busy thinking in his head about his future. He's going to be a great Firekin someday, he knows it. This cub has huge dreams, and desperately clings to them. He wants to make his parents proud and he has a lot to live up to.

Behavior/Relationships: Don't piss off your brother, because he will beat you up! The young cub doesn't know his own strength yet, and gets so emotionally overwhelmed sometimes he doesn't realize what he's doing. He'll be constantly trying to best his siblings, especially his other brother, and he'll be the first to outwardly scold his troublesome sister if he catches her.

This is probably not the cub you want to tell your secrets to. Huo is going to rat it off to someone else, not because he likes to tell, but because he gets so overly excited when he knows important information, that he just lets it slip. "My rock pile keeps falling over." "Yeah, Maipe said she wanted to see how long you kept putting them back up."

Extra: Important; In Huo's image, it is evident that there is creme on his back. However, when he was born, and for the first few months, his child's coat made the creme so pale that he looked white. As such, he was given a traditional Firekin name, and as a cub is not thought to be huria. When his older coat grows in, it will become evident that he may have to leave after all.

He has trouble with his v's.

Sister - Jozi'Kenna

Rank: Cub
Brief Personality: Really, Kenna's song says it all. While she is like any cub and dreams of the outside world, and of large ranks, and doing good things, she simply does not want the spotlight.

Kenna doesn't want to be your hero, doesn't want to be the one that everyone looks up to. In crowds, she prefers to vanish and become one with everyone else. In fact, Kenna would prefer to be in a crowd because of that reason. Being the center of attention makes her feel uneasy. Kenna doesn't want that kind of responsibility, because that's the kind of thing she becomes responsible for: even at a young age, she knows that the guilt of even minor things is too much.

Unfortunately, it's exactly the kind of thing she's likely to be shoved into. Kenna can't stand gossip, or awful assumptions, and she'll find herself defending people she doesn't even know. She's all for the little man, and has a sort of twitch against people in power. "Well how do you know?" will be the first thing out of her mouth all the time. She has a Firekin spirit, but is still baffled by people who just know things. Kenna has never known anything in her whole life.

Behavior/Relationships: She's not likely to get into too much trouble, because she doesn't want that kind of attention. Kenna is going to do her job, do it well, and hopefully keep her sisters and brothers out of trouble, too. Family will always be important to her, because her mother instilled it in her.

Especially as a cub, Kenna will be nearly glued to her identical twin sister. She will not want to go anywhere without her, and will sulk if they are separated. Until she gains her own self-identity, she will have a lot of trouble being left alone.

However, her mother is always encouraging the twins to do some of their own things, and Kenna will gradually have to accept they can't be glued at the hip all the time.

Extra: Jozi means "pair" and it is the term that Moto'Seide uses when she calls both identical twins at once.

Grandfather - Upendo'Mpaji

Rank: Hunter
Brief Personality: He is a gentle giant, so to speak. Mpaji loves children, and other lions alike. However, he has never outgrown his childish view of the world. He can't help but to speak his mind, though he has learned to be sauve and turn it into a joke in his old age. Mpaji has a distinct love for pleasing those he considers his 'family'. He feels that he's been placed in the world to please others, and is always looking for adventure, whether it be of the heart, mind, or whatever trouble he can pick out in the Firekin lands.

Behavior/Relationships: To say that Mpaji is proud of his daughter is an understatement. Like any good grandparent, he is going to spoil his children nearly to death.

He's inclined to let them get into more trouble than they should--hey, it's how he learned! But, he'll always be keeping watchful, grandparent's eyes.

The cubs will be told many of their father's tall tales. He loves inventing stories. There's a great sand beast that will swallow them up. Azar has a third testicle. Mpaji will tell them as many stories as they can hold, and he takes great pleasure in having them actually convinced of them.

Extra: He's an ex-slave, and as such was allowed to stay in the lands even with his coat color.

Ultimate Uncle of Ultimate Destiny - Shunqa

Rank: Hunter (THEY'RE IMPORTANT TOO OKAY?)
Brief Personality: Friendly, down-to-Earth, and intelligent. Shunqa's father is a former slave that obtained full membership when he fought during the rebellion. In light of this, he is understandably one of the more liberal Firekin, even going as far as to resent the sending-off of his Huria siblings (though this has not been said out loud). On the other hand, he is uncomfortable with the idea of fending for himself and takes his duties to the pride seriously. Needless to say, this is one conflicted lion.

Behavior/Relationships: Shunqa breathed a sigh of relief when there were no huria cubs! (OOC Note: See Huo's info if this is making you go "WTF?".) It might sound corny and melodramatic, but he truly did love his nieces and nephews even when they were nothing more than a conversation between he and his sister, Seide. As far as he's concerned, these cubs will want for nothing, no matter what. He will also be notorious for excusing their misdeeds, saying things like "oh, they're only cubs!" and reminding Seide that she wasn't exactly easy to handle as a child. In other words, he's a pushover.

Extra: Shunqa's reputation in the pride tends be "Moto'Seide's brother". He is a great hunter despite the lack of recognition.

Sister - Maipe'Bado

Rank: Cub
Brief Personality: Maipe's first name means "fiery", as expected of the Firekin, but her second name is something a little more personal. Bado has the unusual but appropriate meaning of "not ready, not yet": Maipe'Bado was the first born of her litter and did not give her mother, the infamous Moto'Seide, an easy time of it. Maipe has been a trouble-maker since her very birth and shows no signs of surrendering her feisty ways.

Behavior/Relationships: Her whole family knows she's a trouble-maker. She will run to her dad after mom scolds her, and if he refuses to yield, she'll go to Shunqa instead.

She loves her siblings, but doesn't seem to like many of them, especially not Huo -- he will tattle on you! That is lame, Huo. Super lame. Maipe is also a little jealous and offended by the twins' closeness. So they look alike. So what?

Extra: Any member of the family is welcomed to assume Maipe started some kind of trouble within reason without getting permission. Things she would be likely to do:

- Try to terrorize Huo, no matter how many times she gets caught.
- Break stuff, not that there's a lot to be broken.
- Bait her siblings (except Huo) into breaking the rules with her.
- Set "traps" and blackmail fodder to get other cubs outside her litter in trouble.
- Test the patience of pride members if she thinks she can avoid getting caught (such as knocking over a rock pile to see how many times they'll build it back up).

Things she would NOT do:

- Any of the above with intent to get caught. She is doing things for the sake of entertainment, not attention!
- Though she will let them take the blame for things if it's possible, Maipe will not make an active effort to get any of her siblings in serious trouble save for Huo.
- Talk back to her mother or father to their face. Maipe is more likely to promise Seide she'll behave and then not follow through.
