So!
What happens when a blinded former warlord of the Stormborn encounters a mermaid lady? Well, first she takes care of him as much as he'll allow her, and in exchange he agrees to give her cubs because he is a fine specimen of maleness. He agrees, as long as his cubs never become pirates. Eventually he is healthy enough for adult fun time, and when the mermaid is satisfied that she is probably pregnant he leaves, never to see or be seen in these parts again. Now that the mermaid has had her litter and as it turns out the former Stormborn was every bit as virile as she hoped. Seven cubs! Two of them, however, are male, which means that they cannot remain in her pride forever. Per her agreement with their father, they will be dropped off in Stormborn lands when they are weaned.
Cool story, bro. What's the point?
I'm going to make you guys jump through some hoops to win one of these Merking boys. This contest starts when I say it does and ends within a week of that time. I'll be more exact when I know my schedule.

This is the cub 
To start with, you must write in your post in some very bright color that you understand that this cub must go to the Stormborn (which means completed application, joining RP, and certing post) before he grows to adolescence. There are no ands, ifs, or buts about this.
Second, I like music and I am too lazy to find it on my own. So, based on any of the stations on my Pandora I would like you to link me to a YouTube video. This will have no bearing on your chances in the contest except if you don't do it, I won't consider your entry. So there's that.
Finally, you have to fill out the form I'm including here.
Please note that I am not including a formal list of rules. This is because I expect you to behave like sensible people and refrain from whining, guilt-tripping, and generally making this less fun for me. Seriously. Familiy Info 
< Aesir (Feylin) is the father. He was once the warlord of the Stormborn but he was challenged and defeated, after which he and his entire family were exiled. He will not be a part of the litter's life at all, but if they go to the Stormborn, looking like him may be a problem.
< Katerina (Buffy) is the mother. She is the Lady of the Paw for the mermaids and although she won't be directly responsible for raising the cubs, she will be in their life. Likely she will also be the lioness to take this cub to the Stormborn when the time comes.

< Kraken (Feylin) is the only other boy in the litter. He will be dropped off at the Stormborn with this boy when he is a juve. He is going to be adopted by a lawspeaker named Tuomas and trained to replace him one day.

Katerina also has another litter by a different lion. The daughters from that litter still live in the Einaliai'Thalassi and may be by to visit their half-sibs from time to time.
But you're curious about the Stormborn, right? Well, let's put it this way: the cubs don't know who their father is, but since they look a good deal like him, they'll be at risk of being killed, exiled, or enthralled if they don't follow their mother's orders and claim not to know their father's name (which is true enough, since Kat and Aesir never exchanged names). This is something Kat will tell them before leaving them to the Stormborn.
Buffy_the_Bloody Aesir has warned Katerina, to tell the cubs not to let the Stormborn know who fathered them. (She will not name him when she does this, she will lie and tell them that he is from an old pride. After all, to keep the cubs safe, they have to believe it. So she will lie for their survival.) Winner of the cub should be able to complete one RP with Fey and I, with her saying goodbyes, and then warning them. You may edit your entry if you like, if this new information is useful to you.

Cub's Name: Kjell - Norwgian name ("Helmet, protection")
Cub's personality:
Superstitious and proud- a lethal combination. As a cub, he's going to be a bit of a wreck. His mother will leave him with a bunch of strangers and vanish into the mists, he has no father to speak of but everyone seems to recognize him. There's a million questions but not one answer. This will build into a bitterness in the cub and he will seek out approval and praise in any way he can. As his father is an exile, I expect he won't be looked upon particularly favorably. So as he grows, everything will develop into a fish tale of sorts. If he manages to bring down a gazelle, he'll say that it was the leader of the herd, that he bypassed nearly twenty others to get this one- simply because he was able to. He'll be a loud, boasting sort with little respect for those around him and less for the ladies. When he's finally old enough to go viking with an experienced Reaver, I would love for him to have his ego knocked down a few pegs by losing an eye, and to make it worse, he'd lose it to a pirate. (Perhaps my boy as he'll be about the right age. Or... one of his sisters if we want to be really mean. XD)
This will set him straight and force him to focus on building actual skill rather than building up his ego and tall tales. When he finally matures, he'll be no less loud, no less proud, and no less of an upstart, but he'll have a little more respect towards his betters and he'll actually have the skills to back up his big talk.
Plans for the cub's future:
- I would like him to lose an eye while he's out viking, as I mentioned. It will force him to swallow his compensating ego and focus on building up actual skill.
- I would like him to be something of a pain in everyone's neck for a while.
- I would like for him to have some kind of mentor, though I would like him to find a grizzled old thing or an oddball of sorts. I'll toss up a plot thread if I get him to seek out a mentor, a father figure, or even a mother figure if the plot's good enough.
- Depending on his mentor figure this may change but I don't see him growing up especially respectful to the ladies. He'll be a bit of a pig in that respect, half expecting the females to leave him as his mother did. A small side of him will always kind of hope to see her coming back through the mists.
- His superstition will be fun to play on, especially with the 'ghosts' at the border.
- I would like him to encounter his father though depending on his development, that may be a hostile encounter. He'll blame him for everything and may challenge him to a duel to justify himself in his own mind.
- I would like him to take quite a few thralls from around the pirate/mermaid area.
- If I win him, I'll badger Fel for bro plots. Maybe he can be or gain a wing man of sorts.
Music: Blind Guardian - Valhalla - I saw you liked Rob Zombie. XD These are like if Rob Zombie was raised by a den of nerds.
Anything else you'd like to include?
Viking chickens go bork bork bork. And stay in Stormborn.

Cub's Name: Turquesa Hellinum - Gaelic/Icelandic name {"Turquoise in the Cave"}
Cub's personality: Is a thickheaded, stubborn, vile thing. He shows nothing but bitterness to others, and can only scowl at them. He is not the type to run away from a challenge and is fearlessly brave. He always lets his anger and rage shine through him like a diamond, like a turquoise gem, shining brightly by light, but his other feelings are hidden deep within the cave in his heart, earning his name. He can withstand anyone and cannot be intimidated like others. He doesn't care if he is exiled and not, he couldn't care less about the welfare of others.
Plans for the cub's future:
~ He will stay in the Stormborn, and not leave, unless a mega big plot demands it or the Warlord decides to exile him at randomness.
~ If not exiled, i want him to find a mate to at least cut himself out of the bad blood by a bit. If exiled instead, he'll do some flings then settle down.

Cub's Name: Dagfinn
Cub's personality: While a cub, he's as normal as could be. A bit of a mama's boy, he seeks her approval in all he does. He'll bring her little shiny rocks or tiny animals that he things she'll find impressive, eager as any little cub may be for praise. That will change once he is brought to the Stormborn and abandoned. Once a happy cub, Dagfinn will grow into a cold, harsh, and very cranky lion. He'll never really know why he's teased and bullied, and by the time he's an adult he'll have no patience for others. His unforgiving and uncaring exterior is a huge front, though, for inside he'll forever be his mother's son. It would take a lot of work to break through the incredible walls he's created to get to that soft center, but all he really wants in life is to make people proud of him. Of course, being unable to do that as most lions would shun his heritage (a no-name father AND a mermaid mother? That one is not to be trusted!) he will satisfy himself with making his peers respect him through brute strength and other achievements while out Viking.
Plans for the cub's future: Hoo boy. This guy would be at the top of my list for RPs with everything I want to do with him, that's for sure. Let's organize this a bit...
- at least one RP with mom before he's sent away. I'd really like more than that, though, to create that bond that will be severed and send him on his way to being a troubled youth. Sibling RP is also something I'd like to create that whole family aspect that will be taken away from him
- I'd also like to find some Stormborn youth that can tease and torment him while he ages. Perhaps one in particular that he could be rivals with that end up in the same Viking group. Having someone to be better than/to prove wrong will really drive him bonkers
- once he gets older, I'd like for him to find a Thrall that will make his life even more miserable. Someone really talkative, someone who doesn't leave him alone, who doesn't understand the concept of being subservient to him. I think it would be pretty hilarious XD
- Bro rp, for sure. Depending on his brother's personality, he could either be his only friend or his biggest rival. That would be fun to work out.
- I'd also like to find someone to break through that wall he's built up. Not until he's older, though. It doesn't have to be a potential mate, just someone who cares enough about him to try to become his friend. It might do if they're younger than he is, perhaps a curious cub who grows up being told not to go near him since he's of bad blood.
- having inherited his father's rather impressive fighting ability (I imagine he'd have to be good at it if he were the warlord) along with his rather unfortunate birthing circumstances, I'd love for other Stormborn to constantly harass him and challenge him to Holmgang from time to time just for the simple fact of seeing him lose. Of course, he won't go down without a fight. I'd like to see him win and lose some, and gaining a few war wounds in the process wouldn't be a bad thing.
Music: Winter - I was going for a mix here of the Epic Soundtracks and the Baroque-ish. I'm not a huge connoisseur of classical, but there is one modern classical-ish piece that I can never get enough of. I added the Epic Soundtrack because it's the music to an amazing short, The Maker, that I got to see a few years back at a film festival. The film was put online about a year ago and I was so excited that I could listen to it again! They said they animated around the music, although they chatted with the composer who wrote it specifically for this animation. I hope you like it as much as me ;w;

Cub's Name: Braonan (Gaelic name meaning 'little drop of water')
Cub's personality: Life is all about his own personal enjoyment. Energetic from the start, and always looking for entertainment, he's going the be a little troublemaker. Add to that a cunning sly-ness and a growing physical strength and you've got a good little fighter! However his downfall is his inability to take things seriously. Life is a fun game for him, and getting him to buckle down even in the face of danger (he is also quite confident in himself) is like pulling teeth.
Plans for the cub's future:
WILL GO TO THE STORMBORN BEFORE HE'S AND ADOL AND KEEP HIS BOOTY THERE UNLESS EXILED! =D
- Frequent viking expeditions because WHOO ADVENTURE FUN!
- Lots of trouble-making shenanigans. He will be the trouble-maker. The guy that eventually everyone just shakes their head and learns to live their life around his childish pranks. I'd like for him to have some friends that he can get involved in his shenanigans!
- His childishness losing him the love of his life (either by her dumping him, or something more tragic? >3) and cuing the start to a more 'grown up' stage in his life.

Cub's Name: Llŷr (Welsh sea god)
Cub's personality: Llŷr has a very subdued personality, and has even from a young age. While he’s not averse to playing with cubs his own age, he’s perfectly content to just pace along the shore on his own. He can go hours without saying a word (days if no one initiates conversation).
Others are often shocked by the intensity behind his cool-headedness. Llŷr lives by the philosophy of “walk softly and carry a big stick.” The trouble is that most people don’t see the stick until it’s far too late. To Llŷr, action leads to reaction, end of story. He never starts fights, but he sure can sure as hell finish them. He can fight with someone to the point of grievous injury, and then bear no grudge afterward. The fact that many others don’t share his “over and done” attitude is very confusing to him. He will not flee battle, but he will fight dirty (kicking dirt, feigning unconsciousness). The fight isn’t over until the other lion yields. There is no other acceptable option. Those around him can’t decide if Llŷr has absolutely no fear of death whatsoever, or if he thinks he’s invincible. Maybe both.
Llŷr is frank to the point of being impolitic. He doesn’t care what your rank is, how strong you are, or whether or not you could eat him for breakfast: he will tell you exactly what he thinks. What others think of him is none of Llŷr’s concern. If someone said he was a flower-blooded homosexual, he would deny it; if that someone said they didn’t believe him, he’d just shrug and walk away. There wouldn’t be a fight unless the other lion makes the first move.
The ocean will always have a hold on Llŷr. It breaks his heart to live away from it, and this manifests as a physical pain in his chest. It’s a sort of homesickness, I suppose. This may (as in, “almost certainly”) cause the other Stormborn to suspect he might run off to join the pirates, or if the cubs of the mermaids are cursed to never be at peace on land.
Plans for the cub's future:
-He’ll have a coral necklace that he’ll never take off.
-I might have Inyoni take him in because she is so horribly unsuited to be a mother, he’ll be the parent half the time.
-Frequent visits to the ocean. With or without adult supervision (if he can manage to sneak off).
-Bumping into the Mistwalkers on his way to the sea?
-As an adolescent or adult, he’ll come back from a trip to the sea with a bunch of loot that he planned to keep all to himself. Someone then explains that with all that stuff, his routine trip probably counts as a viking this time, and he needs to let the Warlord take his share. Llŷr will be vexed and confused, but will comply anyway (can he accidentally become a reaver? That’d be hilarious).
-He’ll eventually find and kill a sea lion (conveniently colored like a seal), and take its pelt.
-Maybe he’ll try to visit the Mermaids? See how Mom’s doing?
-What if someone stole/broke his coral necklace? He might actually lose his temper!

Anything else you'd like to include? His personality is loosely based on the mythic selchie (which is found in both Norse and Celtic mythology!). He’s gonna be a Stormborn!

Cub's Name: Lellux
(Lel-lux is a combining of "taker" and "light," Slavic and Greek.)
Cub's personality: Since cubhood Lellux has always been one to try and make himself appear to be the strongest one of the lot. He certainly shows a lot of tendencies to be possessive of what is his and as he grows so will his possessiveness. That being said, Lellux isn't opposed to sharing his things and can be rather giving at times if someone is willing to give a little for him too. When it comes to family Lellux has/will have a very keen sense of protecting and keeping together the family. He's sorta like the great-grandparent/grandparent that manages to get everyone together for holidays and such when they otherwise wouldn't. Essentially he a neutral type character, with some chaotic tendencies.
Plans for the cub's future:
Here is a very, very, very rough sketch of some ideas I have.
-*- Ideally if he can get somewhat along with his brother then I'd like for them to go on Vikings together as a sort of band. If they are somewhat able to get along I think it would be fun to rock the boat now and then, have them fight over who gets what. Obviously since Lellux is very possessive of what is his it could go a variety of different ways. Also we could tie in the older/younger sibling aspect (if Kraken is older then he will get to keep most of the stuff no matter what. If Lellux is then he'll hopefully get to keep half.)
-*- As I said, Lellux has a strong sense of family so I'd like for him to occasionally visit his mother and sisters. Ideally I'd like for them to stay on good terms but I'm pretty open to this. Maybe this could lead to him meeting another mermaid who he falls for but has it go awry or something.
-*- So continuing what I said above, maybe something happens and Lellux meets a mermaid whom he falls for (she can or not) and either someone can find out about it (like his brother) and tell him to quit the relationship or maybe a female in the pride steals his attention. I think this plot would mostly revolve around how the other owner wants it to go. However, the outcome is that the relationship ends.
-*- LET'S SEE WHERE HIS LIFE TAKES HIM.

Yes, his name is odd, but I did it for originality and having a meeting of the two cultures/prides.
Also, this cub is for storming all those born in the Vikings.
