Not quite the screen of death, now is it?
So I've had the blue screen of death three times now on my newest computer. There's also been a few times when it wouldn't turn on.
I'm a bit worried that it'll start to act up tomorrow, when I'm doin' my thesis defense over skype.
But yeah, now I remember why I went to usin' laptops.

I was with ya until you implied that BSODs are more frequent on desktops.
Nope. I've probably had more on laptops.
But I guess BSODs are usually hardware-based, and people don't tend to tinker inside laptops as much as in desktops...

I had a blue screen of death, the first week I got my computer XD
Sometimes I get it when I'm not around, no clue why that happens

My laptop (Windows 7) would blue screen every few weeks. Pretty sure it was because of overheating and a really crappy fan. I can't remember the last time I saw a desktop blue screen.
I'm really sorry to hear you're having computer problems. Hope your Skype call goes well.

I have gotten the blue screen of death where it would say that they would be dumping memory or stuff to prevent any damage in s**t then my computer would restart, that happened like 2 or 3 times since I have had this computer. I'm sure it happened some time this year or something but forgot when.
Of course once I got it I would back up everything I had that was important to me once I was able to get back on like normal once after I had it and restarting my computer. So yeah. I get really freaken paranoid once it happens. I've had this same computer since January 2010 and haven't had to reformat it once yet.

If I have to reformat this computer, I'll have to buy a fresh copy of windows because some moron decided that the serial number should be put on the bottom of the netbook.
So... if I use it on my lap (which I do) it would slowly get worn away.
It's totally gone now. Just a vague hint of a barcode. stressed

Weird Kazerin. Confusing.
I hate my computer cuz it overheats too much and randomly turns off when that happens, but don't plan on getting a new computer until at least 2014 or 2015 at latest.
