[JRP] Returning home [Ayumu & cubs]

Ayumu had wandered back to the pride with her newborn cubs in tow. They had been born outside, in the rogue lands, just in case any boys had come from the litter. She had to live up to her promises even though letting them go was extremely hard for her. It helped that she had three beautiful little girls to fill her with joy. She smiled when they reached the pride border. "We're home." Ayumu said with a warm voice to her cubs. She turned herself so that she could see her cubs reactions to their home--if they had one. Not too long before they were born she had discovered this pride. Ayumu hadn't wanted a place for her children to live in peace without prejudice as was known to happen in the rogue lands. She wanted them to have safety, a family outside of their own kin. With Seorsa-fala she had found it. Now she could only hope that they loved their home as much as she did. "Are you ready?" Ayumu asked her girls, looking to each one.


Taisce had wandered closely behind her mother the entire journey home from the small den where they had been born in the rogue lands. Of course she made sure to check to make sure her sisters were still following along and hopefully were able to keep up. Not that their mother was going particularly fast, but they did have small little legs.

When Ayumu finally brought them to a halt Taisce followed her mothers gaze to the border of the pride. It was nighttime and everyone was up and milling about. Taisce smiled as she looked over her home, though she was really nervous at the same time. Unlike her sisters--and despite being the eldest--Taisce was rather shy. She felt protective over her family unit but when met with strangers it was hard for her to have the same courage she did when with her family. "This is our home?" Taisce muttered to herself a she looked to her sisters. Were they as nervous as her? All Taisce could do in reply to her mother was nod her head slowly. Was she ready? Her legs trembled a bit underneath her.

Mfiniti was following at the back of everyone, looking around. Her mother had come to a halt, and Mfiniti stood besides her. "I'm ready." She said strongly. She had hope that this was a perfect place for her and her sisters, and maybe an even more perfect place to make some trouble. Mfiniti grinned to herself, and hoped she could make the most out of her life here, because she was ready for this, ready for a new home, though she hadn't even been in the world for that long yet! She straightened herself besides her mother, and took a deep breath.

Mfiniti took a glance at her sister behind and besides her. Taisce looked a little shy and unsure, but that was how she was. Mfiniti hoped her other sister would be a little like her and Taisce, even though there was only half a chance she would or wouldn't be too sure about this anymore, but Mfiniti had a good feeling everyone would ready. This place was so different from the small den they had been born in, it would be different and Mfiniti would have to act different then she did in the Rogue Lands. Mfiniti would have to do jobs when she grew up, even if it were just hunting. Mfiniti physically shook her head and the thoughts within away, this would be good, a change.

Her new home?

Airi grinned a toothy grin and trotted happily behind her mother, her tail swishing in time with her steps and her eyes sparkling with excitement for this new home. She could only imagine what it would be like. How happy everyone would be in their little dens. Would there be other cubs? She hoped there were lots of cubs to play with! That would be so much fun. She and her sisters would have so many new friends. And maybe they could find something unexplored. Maybe they could bring back some buried treasures. There was so much to do and not near enough time to suit the little cub.

"Are there going to be little animals living underground? Can I meet them? Will they have wings?" the questions came out in a barrage of words that almost blended together in one rushed breath.

The blue little cub caught up and sat happily at her mother's feet, gazing up into her green eyes with pure excitement.

"Did you say something Taisce?" she asked, hearing some sort of sound coming from her dear blue sister. She was quiet, sometimes, but today was a time to be happy and celebrate! Why be quiet? Adventure awaited.

Ayumu couldn't help but laugh a little at her daughter Airi's questions. The cub was the youngest and she couldn't help but dote on her; Airi was slightly named after her as well. "There are some creatures that live in the tunnels with us. They're called bats Airi." Ayumu replied with another laugh. Despite babying Airi and maybe even doting on her more then the other two girls, Ayumu loved all of her children equally and none held a more special place in her heart above another. That being said, she couldn't help but want to baby the baby of the litter. "Yes you can but keep in mind they might not want to play with you." She warned, not keeping a stern tone her voice.

When Airi turned her attention to Taisce, the eldest cub of the litter Ayumu frowned slightly. Taisce was so unlike her sisters in every regard. Mfiniti was a trouble maker and Airi was adventurous--maybe too adventurous for her own good. Taisce? Well she simply let life pass her by it seemed. Ayumu looked towards Mfiniti. "Make sure you're good for the nannies." Ayumu said before pulling the cub close and licking the top of her head as if to fix any misplaced hairs.


While Taisce was glad her sisters were just excited to have a home as well, she couldn't help but feel slightly defeated. Neither of them seemed to have any worries or cares in the world. Or rather, they found every little thing to be exciting and her? She was too busy worrying about the impression she would make, whether the cubs would like her, would she be able to make her mom proud? It was bad enough she already felt like a third wheel in the family. "Yes." Taisce managed to reply in a soft tone to her sisters question. The female blue cub paused for a moment and looked back at the pride. It was awfully big. Then again if it was home to a lot of other creatures then it kind of had to be big. Her green eyes focused back on her sisters. "Do you think there will be other cubs there?" Taisce asked, sharing a bit of her own worries and insecurities. When her mother responded to Airi's questions her own facial expression shifted to that of worry to horror. There were bats in the tunnels? What if they decided they wanted to be carnivores? Would she and her sisters be their next meal? Oh no! What was her mother thinking? "You don't think they'll try to eat us do you?" She asked her sisters.

Mfiniti sighed, would she be good for the nannies? She could try but it wouldn't be half as fun without causing a little wreckage. She wondered if any other cubs would like her. Would they? Mfiniti could keep to herself sometimes, even though it seemed she was as outgoing as her younger sister, she could be the quiet one too. She giggled at Taisce. "Taisce, bats are small, we'd be no match for them!" She grinned again and made a face at her sister. They could be ridiculous sometimes. "and plus, I bet there are plenty of cubs for you both to play with."

Mfiniti took another glance at the pride, how they were at the borders, how they would son become a part of everything. She looked at her tiny family, and back again, hoping they would be alright here.

"Bats? What do they look like?" she questioned, pausing in her steps for just a moment before Taisce's question fully dawned on her.

Eat them?

"I'LL EAT THEM FIRST!" she declared as the hair on the back of her neck began to stand up on end. No way was she going to be bat food. Ugh. Gross!

And she didn't want to admit it but she might have been a little afraid...Bats...eating them...What if they tried to eat momma?!

"Mfiniti's right anyways," she responded quickly, more trying to comfort herself than her sisters, "We're too strong for them. Look at us!" the little cub let out as ferocious a squeak as she could muster, the effort making her trip over her own paws as her front ones had stopped as she concentrated but her back legs had not received the memo.

"Oof!"

Airi fell in a pile of limbs and tail and struggled to right herself with little luck.

Then it dawned on her something else her mother had said and she found herself offended.

"WHY WOULDN'T they wanna play with us?!" she demanded, forgetting that she was still, in fact, tangled in a mess of limbs.

Sweet jebus I am so sorry for the late response. I started going to university, then my life fell apart, then it fell apart some more, then my step-mom died, and depression is a b***h. I would love family RP though if you're all still interested.
