Natural Ability: Minor Magic - Nekomata's are capable of minor hex magics, while not at the level of a Djinn or a Witch/Warlock, they can hold their own. Deshi is most skilled in photocopying black ink. She is able to lift it off paper and put it onto other mediums. Problem is that it fades every time she lifts ink and it washes off easily with water.


Personality:
In short, Deshi is a handful of things. She is sassy, sarcastic and a bit of a princess. She will never miss a chance to make a sassy remark to someone. Not only is she nimble on her feet, she is also quick in her words. This is a helpful skill to have when bickering with her brother, however she is known to keep old jokes and stories around longer than their welcomed lifespan. She means no harm, but it’s how she grew up with her brother and assumes that everyone welcomes the kind of sibling rivalry that she and Ari have. She truly loves her brother and quarreling is the only way that she knows of to keep a close relationship with him.

As an only child for 8 years, she was spoiled rotten by her mother. She carries this over when Ari enters the family. It is Deshi’s defense mechanism. She doesn’t want to lose the one person who loved her to two strange men who think they can waltz into her life and take her mother away. As a result, she expects things to go her way. She often asks people, especially her brother, to do things for her. They’re little errands but she hates to do them alone. It might be something as simple as going down for a glass of water or to grab a snack. She is used to people that she knows being everywhere. Either someone in her family eating or in the sitting room. This developed into having a short fuse whenever things don’t go her way. She will throw tantrums and sulk until she is consoled or gives up.

Deshi is terribly prideful. She absolutely hates losing in everything from arguments about video games to full out fights. Often times when she loses, she blames herself rather than the players or the game. She understands that in life, winning and losing are both viable outcomes. She aims to improve herself rather than to talk bad about other people. However, she does dwell on her own mistakes, often mentioning them whenever a similar situation comes. For example, if she got a bad mark on a test, during the final, she will lower her own self-esteem by making comments such as ‘I’m going to fail again, there’s no hope’ or ‘I can’t do this, this isn’t for me’. She feels energized whenever she beats her brother at something and doesn’t let him live it down until the next time they have a quarrel.


Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?
Deshi always feels inferior to her half brother. Being prideful, she hates losing to him more than anything. She already lost by a few hours in being the older half sibling, so she refuses to lose in anything else. Upon knowing of the academy, she begged to go, and upon getting permission, she took every opportunity to flaunt it to her brother. That is, until she found out that they were enrolled together...

FEAR Ability: Tainted Fang - Deshi focuses her fear into the bell around her neck. It’s not required in her attack, but it acts as a guide to help her concentrate it into a spherical shape. A dark flame engulfs the bell and it starts to emit a smoky fume, burning on contact.
