I'm an hour early for my lab, which starts at 8:30 today.
I'm supposed to meet them all on the roof. But all the floors above the first floor are locked.
Then I thought I could break into a stairwell, managed to do that and walk up to the top. But all the doors are locked, so I walked back down to try and get out. Then the door I walked through ended up being locked too. Thankfully I managed to find the exit to the outsides.
Thankfully I'm not stuck in a staircase anymore, and have lived to tell the story.

Stairwells are emergency exit routes... 1, they should never be locked. 2, they ABSOLUTELY should let you out at the ground floor once you're in them...
And all exits should be push from the inside, so panicked people don't have to worry about pulling a door open...
