Amrita could only take the threat as real, though she chose to play it off as a joke. It was easier for her to handle that way. Any banter about dissipation betwen two very battle-hardened alumni could only be serious, she was sure of it.
"How sweet of you." The patchwork laughed, waving a hand in dismissal. "Sorry about your luck." She nodded, still smiling, as she took the offered initiative to attack. The Patchwork surged forward, gathering up her FEAR with each step. When she got close enough she ducked, as if beginning to shift her weight to try and kick Riley's feet out from under her. Instead she used the lower stance to her advantage, pushing upwards with her fist aimed for the underside of the Mindflayer's chin, pushing as much gathered fear into the blow as she could manage.

The time for witty, threatening banter was over. Amrita came at her, successfully using all of the force her Fear could muster to knock Riley right up into the air. She fell hard on her back, flat and unmoving. It was quite possibly one of the hardest hits she'd ever felt.
Her chin moved, as the bones within her face re-adjusted, and cracked back into place. From her position on the floor, she murmured quietly.
Excellent. I really felt how serious you are taking this, in that hit. I do so love a serious spar. Amrita may not have noticed yet, but Riley had already stunned her. She was immobile, when Riley started to slowly stand up and recover. She still could not move, as Riley saunted closer, and leaned in just enough to look her in the eye.
I hope Mot hasn't gone very far. Riley's tentacles wrapped around Amrita, picking her up into the air, and flinging her hard, against the wall. She'd wasted too much time recovering, however, and barely made it over to where the ghoul had fallen before the effect wore off. Riley nudged her with a foot, and then backed up to wait for Amrita's next move.

”I wouldn’t object to that.” Before these fights, she might have objected at least a little bit, or hesitated in some way, but now that they had gotten to fight, she felt a lot of her hang ups had been removed. Perhaps it was just the physical strain, or perhaps it was the way they responded to one another, but she felt much better now, about everything between them.
“Should be fu—“ Riley’s kick landed home and Amrita fall back against the wall once more, nearing a few bones she had just set re-break. Awesome. "Ahhah...yeah, I can see it." The patchwork got up quickly, managing to set the one in her arm before diving forward to put shoulder against Riley’s abdomen, attempting to use her body weight to bring the other ghoul to the ground.
