She was out and about more. The lioness was still quite shy, but she tempted to wander more. The thrall enjoyed the little freedom of wandering over the rocky plains, glad that the storm from the other day had passed. She liked when there was sun, rather than the grumbling gray clouds.
Bright pink eyes looked around, spotting the small water hole. She padded softly over to it, sighing softly as she dipped her head, and lapped up the cool murky water.
Today Astrid thought to herself, will be a good day. Every day for the lioness was a good day.

Ataji, oddly, was in a good mood today. Perhaps it was the fact he’d got a good night’s sleep for the first time in a couple of weeks – or perhaps it was the fact the flea infestation had finally died down, and he stopped having to bathe in the sea. It didn’t mean he’d stop relaxing in the sun though – feeling the warmth of the sun on his fur, stretching out his muscles in the delicious warmth..well, it was one of the Captain’s favourite things. Other than fighting, that was. He hadn’t had a good scrap in a while – maybe it was time to go to the borders are do some challenges or something. Or find someone to train with. Anyway, his eyes were shut as he sunbathed – at least until he heard someone lapping at the nearby water source, and he opened his red eyes and greeted them. “Morning.”

Astrid froze, hearing the voice, a male voice, nearby. She silently cursed (something very unlady-like) for not paying attention to the lands around her. She could have very well avoided this male lion if she was more aware.
Once the lion greeted her, the female lifted her head, slowly turning around towards the male.
“Good….good morning,” her dark pink eyes stared into his red ones. Her stuttering had always been there when speaking with males. She usually surrounded herself with female companions.
“N..Nice day, is it not?” Her eyes shifted, before looking at the captain’s feet.
