Lion Name: Vumbi (dust)
Gender: Male
Rank: Noble
Personality: He cares very deeply about appearances and rank, and keeping others in their place. He's shallow, narcissistic and seldom shows how he really feels about others. I imagine if he ever takes a mate, she'll be almost entirely purple, so as to reaffirm his own rank and that of his future children. In the meantime, his cubs will grow up wondering "what aunt?" He'd do anything to keep his rank. But seriously... anything. :T

History: Vumbi was a born member of the Suka'fumo and due to his very purple coat, was deemed worthy of being a noble. He took to playing the part of one pretty quickly as he aged. He turned up his nose at the groundlings and players, anyone that had to do real, physical labor or work hard for their keep. He's enjoyed his birthright quite a bit.
His sister, Mot'e, however, has brought great shame and scandal (if only in his mind) to his family. She left the pride when she was younger but returned later, as a groundling. He puts on a brave face and acts like he loves his sister but really could care less about her and finds her a little bit embarrassing.

Lion Name: Litonya (darting hummingbird)
Gender: Female
Rank: Guard
Personality: Litonya is the hardened rough-neck sort, she takes no crap from no one, accept for the King if he so deems fit. One of her favorite luxuries is owning and capturing slaves, she loves breaking them and teaching them their place. Nothing is better than a slave that knows his or her place.
History: Litonya had only belonged to a gang of sorts in the rogue lands for in her recollective memory. Unlike most, she could only remember back to her adolescence but the past wasn't where lived. In the now she is harsh and a good solider always ready for a conflict, but that's not to say she doesn't know how to unwind every now and then thanks mostly to the plays.

Lion Name: Munkwon'Ntubloo (rainbow army)
Gender: Female
Rank: Groundling
Personality: Soft spoken off the stage, Munkwon thinks in plays and thrives for dramatic scenery and exchanges. Needless to say the plays put on by the players are her whole life, but she loves the forest and the devil may care attitude within it.
History: Munkwon had grown up in a forest far away, when it burnt down she lost her entire family (to her knowledge) in the blaze. In the rampant depression known as the grieving purpose she stumbled upon the Suka'Fumo and found her calling.

Lion Name: Kesegooe (an aged bird)
Gender: Male
Rank: Elder
Personality: This stoic (and sometimes downright grumpy) lion paid very close attention over the years and picked up a lot of great stories over his vast travels and he is overjoyed to share such wisdom the audience was right.
History: As a cub, he was called Keseido by his mother. His father was some rogue, never known to the all male litter. The boys always protected their mother, until she became blind and was taken by illness. Shortly before she died, she changed all their names and the boys went their separate ways.

Lion Name: Enlil
Gender: Female
Rank: Guard
Personality: Enlil changed her name upon coming upon the Suka'Fumo. She used to be called Ishtar. Having spent the majority of her life with just her sister in the rogue lands, she found herself eager to gain social status and found the quickest way to do so was to be a male. Thus she took to dressing in a masculine fashion. She's a little quiet and speaks only when necessary but she is an aggressive go-getter who is determined once she sets her mind to something and strong willed to boot. She has no problem barking orders or delegating tasks. She can even turn on the charm and be sweet if that is what will get the job done.
History: Enlil's family was separated when she was quite young. She and her siblings lived with her mother and father in the rogue lands until, one day, father did not return home. Mother was worried sick but was afraid to leave her young cubs to fend for themselves to search for him. That was when Enlil's older brother went looking for their father and that was enough to set her mother to searching. She ordered the remaining cubs, Enlil included, to stay put and she went in search of her cub and mate. She never returned either.

Enlil was left to the task of surviving on her own with her sister and for a time that went well. They never stopped looking for their missing family members. So far, no word of brother or father, but the sisters found their mother some years later. She had been captured by a pack of hyenas and forced into slavery.

Enlil and her sister did everything they could to free their mother but they were too afraid to finally make contact with her once she was free. That was when the sisters parted ways and Enlil found the Suka'Fumo. Tired of searching for ghosts of the past, she settled down.

Lion Name: Agamemnon (From Homer's Iliad)
Gender: Male
Rank: Guard
Personality: Agamemnon is hot headed but very devoted to the upkeep of the pride and ensuring the members, especially the royal family, stay safe. His voice bellows when he is angry, and carries, both meaning and distance, very far. When something has upset Agamemnon, the whole mountainside knows. He is definitely a natural born leader and someone meant to protect others. Although he shows little in the way of "good" emotions, choosing mainly to appear stoic, it is obvious he is happy to see the mountain under rightful rule again.
History: Agamemnon was only a juvenile when the unjust king was killed and his father was on the war council when it happened. He then watched his home spiral into terror as it was torn apart and creatures began leaving, fleeing into the fairy's trees for safety. He stood beside his father as his father formed alliances to try and take the throne for himself and he knows that is definitely something that one day got his father killed in the chaos. With his father gone, his mother fled the mountain side. Agamemnon stayed behind, keeping his mouth shut and mourning his family in silence. This experience and watching his homeland suffer has hardened him into the man he is now.




Lion Name: Cantabo ("I will sing" in Latin)
Gender: Female
Rank: Groundling
Personality/History: Cantabo is a strange creature and definitely deserves her spot with the groundlings. She chooses to almost never speak, instead relying on silent communication to express her feelings, including drawing on the ground of the forest with her claws when necessary. The ironic part about her lack of vocalization is that vocals are what she does best! She loves to sing and is admired for her ability to do so. Even she is no longer sure of her birth name, she never said it to anyone and, when it became evident singing is what she was born to do, the forest folk renamed her Cantabo. Despite being a groundling, if the players are looking for a talented voice to add to their group, she is the one they will call upon, and she is happy to oblige. She is a very easy going creature and could care less about the hierarchy or goings on on the mountain side. Her passion to spread entertainment and a love for arts is evident. Perhaps she doesn't use her voice to speak because she thinks it is a waste to not sing?

Lion Name: Hyppolyta
Gender: female
Rank: noble
Personality: A quiet but totally working behind the scenes to instigate
History: She's just one of hte noble daughters of the mountain top. Her family has been nobles for a few generations. There was a time she held the same strict segregation beliefs in concerns to the forest folk. However, over the years since the new king; she's really come around. Every now and then, she wears a cloak to hide who she is. She goes down there quietly observing from shadows and picking random lonesome creatures to talk to.
For long a years, she's observed some of the other nobles and royal children. How peaceful and quiet so many of their lives were. well, wasn't that perfectly boring? Well, she was inclined to help with that. She found a young adol lioness who was in the lower class and a few on the forest floor. She began to plant seeds of how fun it would be to infiltrate and upset the nobles.

Lion Name: Ukwelificha (hidden truth)
Gender: Female
Rank: Artisan
Personality: Some would call him quiet and shy, but in truth, she is a proud and wily girl who will do anything for some respect. Disguising herself as a male, she goes about her daily life without much issue thanks to her convincing size. She's not always seen with her mane that she made for herself, though, so she lives a sort of double life. To her friends she is known as Ukweli (truth, her birthname), to strangers she introduces herself as Ficha (hidden, which she added to the end of her name to put her sneaky secret on display...secretly XD).
History: Ukweli grew up watching the way males treated females and, from the time she could talk, she would ask why they were not treated the same way as males. She began to wish that she had been born a male, but when she became old enough to pick a trade, a fabulous idea dawned on her. She could pretend to be a male, using the skills she learned to fabricate a mane. She did just that and, to practice, would parade around in the furs to her friends. She became so good at deepening her voice and walking with a confident swagger that strangers didn't notice she was female until she had come and gone. It got her the respect she wanted and was quite fun to confuse and trick the other lions. Now that's she's grown, she may have gotten too convinced with her act. Rather than pretending to be a male, she believes she is a male when she puts on that mane. Much awkward hilariousness to ensue should she try to woo a female in her get-up, or have a male interested in her notice her with her mane and her male persona in place.

Lion Name: Puck (A Midsummer Night's Dream character)
Gender: Male
Rank: Groundling
Personality: True to his name, Puck is a mischievous lion who delights in the little things in life. He is clever and seen to others as a bit of an annoyance, although his jokes and tricks are always in good fun. His lack of seriousness makes him pretty awful at being reliable, so if you have a job, don't give it to him if you want it done any time soon. He'd rather be playing with fireflies or causing mild mayhem.
History: Born into the Groundlings, Puck has only known his carefree lifestyle. His family was kind and loving, even if they weren't always around, doing their own thing and staying happy. He grew up quickly, learning to hunt for himself, but he retained a sort of child-like look on the world which allows him to see everything as a game.
