[1v1] A Song of Kick and a** [Shaheen vs. Uttam]

He'd been pacing again, still trying to wrap his head around the dream world. There were seven legacies, each was incredibly powerful. Apparently they'd been inside a dream zone created by the Red and White ones, Destruction and Grief respectively. Then, it seemed that Grief had won, but the intervention of ALICE, an entity he was still unsure of, caused the Legacy's plan to fail.

Yeah, that was easy to grasp. He'd ended up in the Haunted House during his pacing, and growled at the room he was in. This stupid place...

She was back from the dream world, only a little bit later then the others, having been caught up in a plot of her and Shik's making, a plan that would surely be coming to completion soon. But Medea had, as always, given them instruction, and it was to spread destruction.

She was fairly certain she was up to that task.

First on her list was to seek out the haunted house, and to find a hunter or two to tear apart. After this, maybe a jaunt on over to the human world to harvest some much needed Fear, and give Death the big old I don't give a s**t by killing however so many as she pleased. Humans were made to die, and for her to feed off of. For all horsemen to feed off of.

But that was a thought to come back to for later, because now she was in the Haunted house, seeking out a little bit of prey to have some fun with. She was in high spirits, her eyes bright, her newly tattoo'd hand wrapped around the hilt of her sword. A sound caught her attention, and she headed in that direction, pushing her way through a door to find.

"......Uttam." She deadpanned at him, the light in her eyes fading to be replaced with annoyance.

He loosed a sigh as soon as she spoke. His shoulders tensed, then dropped, then tensed again. He'd heard something earlier, and thinking it might be a Hunter, or another Distortion fragment, had prepared himself for a fight. When he heard it was Shaheen, he dropped the guard, but remember that it was Shaheen.

"Yes." He replied with a hiss, whilrling to face her. He kept an even frown, arms crossed over his deteriorated ribcage, golden eyes haughtily avoiding contact with her. "Were you in that Wonderland place? Do you know if all of the clans experienced it?" He still avoided eye contact, but felt the need to ask her. She'd been in this crazy system longer than he had.

She wasn't in the mood to fight one of her own just at the moment, and so her own arms crossed over her chest as she attempted to stare down at him...which might not work well if he was taller than her.

"Many of us were in that world. We sought each other out and joined forces, knowing that it was in our best interests to do so. I did not recall seeing you there, however. Too good to find your own kind to work together with them, I suppose?" She honestly had no idea if she had run into him or not in that world. She was just feeling snarky.

Behind the smirk that Uttam put up, he was shaking in his figurative boots, just slightly. Though the mare of War was a few inches shorter than he, Shaheen was still incredibly intimidating. "No, just good enough to consider the fact that diversity would actually help in said situation. I found a group of students and... others, who had made it their aim to break the dream game." He replied with more than a bit of pride, shrugging off her accusations of him being too good for the Clansmen group.

But, truth be told, he was. He'd always been above them mingling, not that she'd know that.

She studied him carefully with golden eyes set in black. Around them both, the fog of insanity stirred, a grey to match that that marred her skin, that tipped her wings and made them appear broken. "Diversity", she let the word roll off of her tongue, drawing it out, and making the word sound like a horrid thing in the process.

Her eyes narrowed at him then. "Others, hrm? Hunters, then? Humans? That is the diversity you wished to share in your experiences with?" Her sword had not been desummoned, and she stared at him with an expression suddenly gone cold.

"Had you bothered to find us, you would have known that the game was not meant to be broken. It was meant to be used as a tool, to aid us in our cause. Us. You do still consider yourself one of us, don't you?" It was apparent that her patience was quickly deteriorating, that she felt that she did not have time for this.

Her tattooed hand suddenly gripped her sword tighter.

"Yes, diversity. I didn't know they were Hunter or Student till the very end, when we were going to face the Queens." Uttam hissed, noticing the grip of the woman and the fog that began swirling. Ah, so this was what he'd heard rumors of. Some of their own, infected with taint. "And what cause would that be, then, mare of War? Depleting our food source? Then who would we feed from, tell me. The Students? They're good soldiers, caught in the crossfire of us and the parasites."

His own position shifted, legs spreading wider. The meteor hammer dropped by his legs with a schink. "No, I am not one of you. I am Famine, I am not integrated and grafted into the vine of Medea like the rest of you." He spat now, fists clenching. "I do not follow a priestess of Death, or Death himself. I am Famine."

She gave him an incredulous look then, as if she could not believe what she was hearing. "We are horsemen of the apocalypse. Our cause is exactly as our names state. We shall scour the human world, reaping and enslaving. The human world is vast with numbers. Even cattle need culling from time to time."

She took a step back, considering him for a moment, her lips pursed tight as she listened to his words. "We are of the same mind then, in one thing at least. The students should not be involved in any of this." She waved off that thought with a gesture of her sword, turning to the side, as she began to pace the floor, the fog swirling around her legs, clinging to her, but her whispers could not bother her. Not as long as she followed Medea.

"I can respect some of that which you speak, for I am War, and I bow to nobody. We are chaos and strife. We are destruction." She glanced down to her mark, briefly, before eyes flicked back to his.

"But some promises are too good to pass up on." Becoming a queen. Ruling her clan. Great power. She remembered the power that had flowed through her, what Destruction had given her. That promise was far too great to ignore.

"Shall we, then?" Though they might agree on some points, she now felt that she had something to prove, her honor, her own clans honor, to defend. She was War. She would show him what that meant.

"Perhaps we are, but should we not allow the cattle to cull themselves? It's happened countless times, they humans have even given the process a name, you know. Can we not just feed off of that?" He posed, circling back so that he wasn't caught in a corner. She was strong, and he knew it. All War horsemen were.

"But yes, if you are so eager." He agreed through clenched teeth, beginning to whirl the ball around by the chain. This would get ugly.

Shaheen's lips pulled back in a vicious grin. She had come here seeking the blood of hunters, and instead found herself leaping head first into armed battle against another horsemen. She did not know what to think of this man, just that he rankled on her nerves, and that she was not yet sure how much she could trust him.

Without wasting any time, she lunged towards him, her wings pinning down against her back, her sword swinging in a tight arc aimed for his chest.

The soldier quickly found himself glad to have been in the defensive, as he was set upon nearly instantaneously. With a snarl he pulled the chain of the meteor hammer taut a few inches from his chest, taking the impact of the blow and skidding a few inches back.

A grunt, and he wrapped the chain around the blade in one swift motion before sweeping the mare's legs.

With a savage sense of satisfaction, Shaheen felt her blade connect against her opponent, though much of it was shielded by his chain. When he lashed back out at her, she spread her wings as she jumped, attempting to dodge the blow before it could make contact, though she was just a little too late, her foot becoming entangled, dragging her back down to the floor with a heavy thud.

Her eyes were narrowed at him, but she smirked as she sprung back to her feet, sliding forward to swing at him with her sword as she passed.

He took the sword with his forearm, chain of the meteor hammer wrapped around it, hissing at the impact. A weaker blow, but a sword to the flesh was still a sword to the flesh.

Whirling around, he sent the metal ball flying towards the warrior woman with a smirk. It looked to be dead on.

She was still sliding past, not quite turned around when the swing of Uttam's weapon took her full on in the back, between her shoulder blades, with enough force to send her stumbling forward, nearly sprawling out on the floor though she managed, with the help of her wings, to maintain her balance somehow, staying on her feet though she had lost precious moments in the process, and could only bring her sword up in an attempt to block against whatever blow might fall upon her next.

Ducking and spinning out of her sword's range, Uttam performed a backwards somersault, gaining a bit of distance from the warrior woman and springing onto his knees in a deep crouch.

Channeling fear into both the metal spheres at the end of the chained weapon, sand began to form around the balls and harden into glass, which then crashed into the woman in quick succession.

A cruel smile formed at the edges of his lips, and he gave a bit of a chuckle. "So, the war queen isn't that great at war. What a pity."
