Name: Tsukino Akihiko [ 月野 明彦 ] ; Last name, first name format.
Nicknames: Generally goes by his family name.

Race: Tennin; modifying this legend here. Essentially, for TiH purposes, Tennin (or ten no tsukai, meaning Heavenly Messenger) are buddhist figures who guide souls to enlightenment. The eldest of their families are sought after, and the Tennin of Tsukino's family reside on moutain peaks, reaping souls of those who die on their pilgrimage. Usually beautiful men and women, dressed in ornate clothing with a love of jewelry and scarves, they spend the time in solitude learning a chosen instrument and are often associated with the Lotus blossom as a symbol of enlightenment. Tennin, once they have reached maturity, are given the gift of flight, as represented by their wings. Fledgeling Tennin cannot fly. It is said that if one can cut the wings from a Tennin, they will control him or her. To those who consider themselves enlightened, the Tennin are a positive sight; for anyone else, however, the vision of death who coincidentally plays an instrument and wears bright colours can be a terrible omen.
xxxxxTennin reapers use their chosen mastered instrument of choice as their 'weapon,' and Tsukino Akihiko's is his Shamisen.
Natural Ability: Voice of Zephyr; Tennin can send their voice across breezes in short messages. There's no limit to how many they can send, but their manipulation of breezes and air is limited in their youth, so they often have trouble getting the whole message to go exactly where they want. One word is usually fine, but five will almost never make it intact, for example.

xxxxxPolished: There's immense pressure on the young Tennin in the Tsukino family to not only grasp the concept of guiding others, but also exude grace in everything they do and excel in all areas of learning and FEAR manipulation. As a result, Akihiko has been guided into an ideal state from inception, and took to it beautifully. He enjoys striving to be his best, and in his chosen instrument as well as language especially he is gifted. This does not mean it comes at no cost: Akihiko spends hours upon hours holed up studying and perfecting just to come across so polished. If he stopped, he would rapidly lose control, so it is a constant act of maintenance that allows him to appear thus.
xxxxxSelf-sufficient: Each member of the Tsukino family is expected to be able to act independently of the whole, often in years and decades of isolation. As a result, he is fairly self-sufficient for a 17 year old, and being separated from his family is not an unfamiliar concept. On top of that, his self-sufficiency is incredibly useful in maintaining his polished good traits: when he finds an area of his life lacking, he takes the initiative to improve it. There are limits to this, and things he cannot do without assistance or guidance, but he is good at taking what he is provided and turning it into something more.

xxxxxPrivate: Not inherently bad or good, though perhaps leaning more towards bad in the short term, Akihiko does not volunteer many details about himself or his family, or their practices. Part of that is necessity (the value of his wings, for example) and part is just disinterest in sharing. Regardless, it's probably hard to feel close to him, even if he is secretly very fond of you.

xxxxxDemanding: Because he has been shaped and guided for so much of his young life, Akihiko expects the very best from others, and expects far too much a lot of the time. He doesn't take well to mistakes, even small ones, and often treats the "offending" individuals as though they are totally incompetent. He hardly forgets such offences, and often refuses to give second chances altogether; he can be an extremely demanding reaper, and it's hard to live up to his very unrealistic expectations-- nevermind that he fails sometimes too, and likely can't even see his own shortcomings. He also expects very specific living conditions; when they are not met, he becomes withdrawn and frustrated.
xxxxxEscapist: Perhaps because of the immense pressure of expecting perfection and it being expected of him, Akihiko tends to lose himself in whatever he can. As a result, it takes even more energy and effort to maintain his polish, because he wastes the other half of his time on various addictions: video games like scariocart, for example, could be lethal. If his attention is divided to other realities, or to things like a lotus essence narcotic, he would surely fall behind in areas of his life.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Tennin have very specific responsibilities, and the Tsukino family has shipped him off so that he can get the education he requires to master his FEAR and act as guardian of pilgrim souls.
FEAR Ability: Steel Torrent [[Swift Strikes]] :: Tsukino Akihiko channels his FEAR and swipes across his Shamisen to manipulate air into several sharp bursts, slashing past his opponent as though he was launching bladed feathers past them. That is, in fact, what he pictures in order to focus his FEAR.
Physical Description:
Eye Colour: Coffee/Toffee. Yes, food words to describe basically brown eyes I guess. But coffeetoffee sounds so much yummier.
Hair Colour/Style: Black, often clipped or bound back. A purple-blue sheen in certain lights, or especially when he's in motion.
Skin Colour: So pale it's incredibly possible he's wearing white face powder. I mean, he probably isn't, but if he was... would anyone be surprised?
Clothing Style/Colours: Skulls, and many colours: the Tsukino family is not shy about reminding the unenlightened that they believe a terrible death and subsequently awful afterlife await them. Although they are a positive vision for enlightened pilgrims, the death motifs and bright colours are both happy and yet grim. Their favourite combo.
Extra: Loves jewelry and bangles and etc. Doesn't have much of it at first. He has a small pair of grey wings, which are not functional. He cannot do more than fold and unfold them, at best.
