Tyson has a very attracting personality. He wants to reach out and get to know as many people as possible, but he doesn't over-exert his friendliness. Something about him seems aloof, but not cold, and he'll still try to talk to people and learn from them. His main goal is to learn as much as he can from people, and to a lesser degree learn as much as he can from the school. But individuals are filled with so much more important information than schoolbooks are, and he's starving for it.

If there is a contest, or a challenge, Tyson feels compelled to try his best at them, but he doesn't assume he is the best. He's just.. himself. He doesn't have a large ego about his individual features, but in general he just assumes that whatever is meant to happen, will. In most cases, he isn't surprised if he achieves greatness, because it's simply what was meant to happen. He isn't surprised if he fails, because it was simply meant to be. And if others are lost on the way to his goals, they were meant to be lost - he does not mourn. He doesn't know the meaning of mourning. Everything happens for a reason.
Completely Invisible

Tyson's obsessed with stealth. He wants to learn how to do it, and how to do it well. Any classes on stealth - he will be there. Anything that might help him become better at blending in, and he's all over it. But for now, he's not very stealthy, because he's too new to the world to understand how to keep himself quiet. He'll figure it out, eventually. For now, he just wants everyone to come to him and give him everything they've got.

If someone manages to become close friends with him, Tyson becomes very protective, and selfish with their time. He might get too demanding, or even a little violent when it comes to someone trying to steal away the attention of someone he cares very much for. This only applies to close friends, but once a bond that strong is made, he will become very possessive with them.

Tyson loves, loves, loves, loves chaos. He doesn't approve of order very much, and tends to try and stay in large crowds, or chaotic events. They're just more fun.

At his very heart, Tyson is looking for something to explain his existence. He woke up alone, and has yet to understand just what he was made for. He'll try many hats, don many capes, but he'll never quite figure out who he is until he learns where he came from, and that is why he's gone to school.
That, and life is really, really lonely when you're alone.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Tyson 'arrived' in Halloweentown not so long ago, but he has no idea why, or what he's supposed to do here. The only option for someone that lost was the greatest accumulation of knowledge, Amityville.
Immediately preceding his 'arrival' in 2008, the human world suffered from a crippling fear of complete destruction due to their own arrogant attempts to create machines that could potentially form black holes. Cults rose up concerning the end of the world. People took to legal disputes trying to shut the project down. In the end, the LHC was turned on in 2008 regardless of the fear spread across nations, and no such black hole formed.
But during that time, that Fear had nowhere else to go but Amityville. And Tyson was 'born'.
