Ah, the sweet smell of blood and saliva baking on the sand. It brought a little tear to her eye just thinking that most of that blood she'd put there herself. It was others, of course, but still, when she touched stones that bore her claw marks it brought a feeling of joy into her heart.

Until the time that a family chose her to watch over their little ones she spent her days training and so far she had yet to lose. Ha, take that, all those nay sayers! Iesha flipped her crazed mane into the stiff air, and let out a challenging roar, beckoning anyone who hadn't yet had a task of her skills to step forth for their butt whooping.

The sound of the challenging roar caught Kiun's attention. The drills she had been running, honing her skills, came to a hault at the sound. She turned her head towards the noise, her form glistening with sweat and muscles aching. The offer of a battle was too tempting though, and she moved towards the sound.

The red and black female was unfamiliar, but Kiun didn't particularly care. A challenger was a challenger.

"You sound like a challenge. Shall we?" She asked, with a slight smirk.

Iesha's face broke into an easy, if not slightly manic grin. Her soft lilac eyes burned like hard stones, from beneath that mop of mane. She crossed the space between herself and the other female. Her claws tore at the loose ground eagerly, and when she took her stance she felt ready for anything.

"Only if you think you can give me a real challenge, princess." Iesha winked, then lunged. She came in fast, then banked to the side just as fast, trying to toy with the others mind as much as actually land a blow. It was a tactic she had learned from friends; though, it might have seemed dirty, in the grand scheme of things.

Kiun narrowed her eyes, bristling slightly at the term 'princess' - what nerve! She snarled a little. "I think you should worry about the challenge you just signed up for, scruffy," she threw out, and began to stalk around the female in a circle, her claws extended and digging into the ground as she walked.

The fast paced female was counter-balanced by Kiun's slow, deliberate movements. Kiun didn't need speed to beat this cocky female. It was going to be an easy match if the female was going to rely on her speed only.

Iesha stuck out her tongue and drug down a corner of her lower eye lid with her foreclaw. "Ooh, scruffy! I like it - it's so original. I'm sure you've made your caretakers so proud." Iesha waited, biding her time as Kiun made her circles, not really phased by it. She stayed diligent, though, despite her seeming ease.

If she thought that her first class military training would save her a** in this fight then she'd have another thing coming! Iesha took a deep breath, and waited for the ball to drop. "If you keep dancing around me, princess, I might have to start thinking that you have a thing for the fairer sex." She batted her eyes and chuckled.

Kiun bristled a little inside at the comment, but outwardly she just smirked. "No offence," she said, in a tone that heavily implied that offense 'should' be taken, "but if I was gonna go after the fairer sex, I'd have a lot better to choose from than you."

Her movements were slow, luxurious, and all too calm. It took only a split second for that to change, and sudden lurch forward, claws extended, aimed a blow at the females exposed hindquarters. It was not designed to injure deeply, but the claws hitting flesh would certainly sting.

Iesha cocked back a grin and winked at Kiun. "No offence taken, precious, but you're not really my type either. I've seen the tail end of an elephant, and it looked a lot better in the sun than that sad mug of yours."

She didn't move out of the way fast enough to avoid the coming strike, and though she bore it with a careful grunt the pain was enough to make her stiffen. Iesha pushed it to the back of her mind since it wasn't a deep wound, and instead focused on putting striking distance between them.

Would she make a go for her..? No, better to wait when she knew she had a sure shot then to jump brazenly dive in. She needed a better strategy than this.

Kiun smirked. "You seem like a lot of talk and no action, girly," she mused. "I'm frankly shocked you got let in. Did you fight an adolescent?" She mused, but didn't strike again. The female would be on her guard, and Kiun would run the risk of injury to herself if she threw her attack now.

She was patient, she'd wear the female down as it was.

Iesha felt a little tick start on the side of her head, right above her temple. "You know, if you'd actually been here enough to train, you'd know I've been wiping the sands with you puffed up Firekin for weeks now." The best part about that threat is that it was true. In all that time she hadn't seen Kiun once, and now she was here, mocking here? Bah!

She flexed her claws, finally coming around to snarling. Iesha wasn't worn in the least, but she was starting to get fairly ticked. The game had come to an end when her fighting had come into question. Now she moved around Kiun's side, looking for any weak spot she could.

Kiun chuckled, the sound cocky and arrogant, and perhaps a little patronising. "I don't come to the duelling grounds unless there's someone here worth my time," she shot back, with a smirk. "Looks like I was wrong to come here today as well."

Kiun allowed to the move around to her side, letting her think there was a weak spot there, before she twisted her bulky form, muscles clenching as she once again aimed a stinging blow, this time along the female's open side. It felt oddly satisfying to throw a blow at the female before her. She acted so tough, but in reality, she was just a weakling.

A little cord in Iesha's brain snapped. It hadn't been very strong to begin with, but she was definitely better at holding it in than she had been as a cub. As it stood, it made her spit by Kiun's feet before charging her.

She didn't feel the blow that came next. If this female thought her weak then she was as blind as she was ugly. "Just because I haven't struck you yet doesn't mean I won't, dumbass!" Iesha ran through the others strike, using it to fuel her as she moved, putting that pain into energy.

Iesha moved in tight, lifted her thick head and crashed it into the others.

She had been proud of the poking she had done, sparking movement in the female finally, but she certainly hadn't been expecting the headbutt that appeared. The force of the female slamming into her sent her realing backwards. She struck out herself, but for a moment, she was disorientated and there was 3 challengers standing before her.

She struck out, but missed, the challenger before her disappearing as her head cleared.

She snarled.

"You are not worth my time," she snapped, voice louder than necessary to counteract the ringing in her head. "You are not a soldier, you are just brunt force and nothing else." She shook her head, trying to stop the ringing, her eyes narrowed. "There is more to a fight than getting to throw your weight around. What a waste of time." She shot the female a disgruntled and frustrated look.

"You're right!" Iesha all, but shrieked. "I'm not a soldier. I'm a CUB SITTER, and guess what? I was born in a pride that didn't believe in violence, but I still managed to bang up your pretty little head."

She snarled, and stood, ready to go again despite her pounding head. Her body ached from the others attacks, but it was the one that made her own vision wonky that did the most damage. "You've been trained your entire life, and for what? This?" Iesha scoffed, and rolled her eyes. "I'm sure your parents are so proud of you."

Kiun just wanted to throw her weight at the female, and hopefully smother her in the sand. The rage was bubbling up inside of her and threatened to swell over and drown her in it, and that would not end well. But after she had just told the female off for raw power and no discipline, she held her temper in check, eyes narrowed.

"Doesn't matter," she said, practically a hiss. Her body tensed, but her expression smug. "You still lost to this. Go back to your cubsitting, perhaps you could find a challenger you could beat there."

She tossed her head, her mane flicking of her eyes. "Stay out of where the big kids play, unless you want to taste defeat again."

Iesha had to fight with herself to keep from attacking the female. She didn't even know her name, but she wanted her maimed. This wasn't a challenge anymore - this was war.

"Tomorrow." She stated loud and bold, so that anyone near them could hear. "Be here tomorrow, at the same time of day. What have you got to lose in a rematch, if you're so sure I'm beneath you, princess?" The title was a hissed growl, her eyes as crisp as a stirring azure flame.
