AMITYVILLE ACADEMY ENROLLMENT FORM

Name: Hanna Worth
Nicknames: Han, occasionally. Nerd is a popular one. Doc sometimes calls him Falk, for some reason.
Gender: Male
Age: 16

Faction: Reaper
Race: Black Dogs
Natural Ability: Shadowmeld: Hanna can "blend" into any dark corners or shadows of an area, making him unable to be seen. He can't hold this for very long, two minutes at the most, and if he bumps into someone he immediately pops into view.

Personality:
Off the bat, Hanna is a very, very friendly and outgoing person. He loves meeting new people, he likes asking questions and making small talk and honestly he thinks making new friends is one of the best things ever. He's rather good at it too, small talk is something that comes easy to him and approaching others has never been a problem for the boy. Cheery and amicable, usually making friends isn't a problem for Hanna but on the occasion he is rebuffed he tends to take it in stride, figuring they just weren't out to make friends that day. He's not one to let his failures get the best of him though and he's always out trying again.

When he's not being social, Hanna is usually off reading or researching something. Naturally curious, Hanna loves to learn and spends hours staying up learning about one thing or another. This is probably due to his naturally energetic nature that keeps him going until he totally wears himself out, something that he's found helps him from meeting new people to getting his homework done, although homework has never been a problem for him. He loves asking others questions, filing away the information for later, and genuinely enjoys his classes in school. If you need someone to help you study or get a project done, Hanna is probably the best to go to!

While his generally energetic nature and outgoing personality tends to make him more friends than enemies, Hanna can and has be seen as annoying. His energy is seemingly boundless and since Hanna doesn't sleep until he's worn out, which can take him days, he's often seen as an obnoxious person towards those who aren't predisposed to deal with his personality. His habit of correcting others who are wrong with some tidbit of info doesn't help either, despite his good intentions behind it.

His energetic nature does not help Hanna very poor impulse control either. When Hanna wants to do something, he'll do it, jumping in headlong without any cares at all. It's not that Hanna wants to break the rules or does it out of spite, he just doesn't think about the consequences before jumping in. This has gotten him into trouble plenty of times, including a memorable incident where he broke both of his arms as an end result. Hanna knows he should stop and he does try, really, but then something comes along and Hanna just dives in head first. He does learn from the end results of this nature though and he's definitely more wary when it comes to doing something the second time around. However, there's more than enough trouble for Hanna to get into that he hasn't before so this cautiousness is rarely if ever seen.

His love of learning and knowledge can also come back to bite him as Hanna is unfortunately, incredibly stubborn. When Hanna thinks he's right, he tends to keep thinking he's right until proven completely and absolutely wrong. This has been proven to lead from arguments to complete disasters all because Hanna simply did not want to budge on his opinion. He will budge given time or what he deems sufficient proof that he's wrong but until then, come hell or high water, Hanna is sticking to what he thinks is right, even if it costs him friends.

Familiar
Name: Veser
Species: Cù Sìth
Personality:
Outgoing and opinionated, Veser is a rather confident pup. A huge talker, Veser loves nothing more than conversation, and will chatter to anyone who will stand to hear him out. He's also rather impulsive, going off on random whims whenever he wants and feels the urge. While him and Hanna appear to have a terrible relationship, often bickering more than getting along, Veser is extremely faithful to Hanna and will do anything for him.

Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?
Doc figured it was time for him to go, much like the rest of his family. Hanna just wants to learn anything and everything, so he went happily. He may or may not have also been enticed by the possibility that he could make friends.

FEAR Ability:
The Mind | Darken - Hanna can make the visibility of an area darken, making it harder to see him and just about everyone else who happens to be around. On the flip side, Hanna himself cannot see through it either, so he's just as much in the dark (heh) as his opponent.

Physical Description:
Eye Colour: Bright blue, almost cyan. Covered by glasses, typical nerd frames.
Hair Colour/Style: Red-head, of the orange variety, thick and curly. Kept in a reasonably short style.
Skin Colour: Pale, completely covered in freckles.
Clothing Style/Colours: Nerdy style clothing. An argyle vest over a button up shirt that's tucked into a pair of slacks with nice shoes, with a bowtie to match. He typically wears colors in the range of green to aquamarine/green-blue, fonder more of the seafoam, mint green, and teal, with his other colors being blacks, whites, and greys.
Familiar: A typical Cù Sìth, shaggy green fur and red eyes. Is only a puppy, around the size of a half grown Labrador. Has a set of very, very sharp teeth.
Extra: Hanna likes markers, he'd probably be holding one or have one tucked behind his ear.

History
Hanna was born an only child to a pair of Black Dog Reapers who, in the end, loved their job more than actually having a child. They were with Hanna up until he was around three, and Hanna only has rather vague memories of them. He recounts them as being kind and they weren't bad parents, really, just workaholics. Hanna was adopted by his Uncle, Doc Cross, when he was three.

Doc was, at first, not ready for Hanna. His sister left Hanna with him a lot of the time when Hanna was much younger and Doc was not pleased with this sudden event of having to babysit his nephew. However, as time went on and Hanna kept being left over at his place, Doc brought up adopting Hanna to Hanna's mother. It was decided upon it would be a better thing for Hanna and when Hanna was three, he was adopted by his Uncle. Doc, while Brusque, loves Hanna and Hanna loves him back. The two had a relatively uneventful life, until it was decided Hanna would go to Amityville Academy.

Hanna doesn't really hold a grudge with his parents, not being one to hold grudges in general, but he doesn't exactly view them in the nicest light. He prefers to not talk about them or think about them really and is glad that he was adopted by his Uncle because he quite likes Doc. He still meets his parents occasionally and conversation between them is polite, but slightly strangled and most of these meetings end quite quickly.

tl;dr: hanna's parents couldnt rly have a kid so he was adopted by his uncle. hanna doesn't rly like his parents bc he feels a bit abandoned.

Misc.
-Doc's full name is Maddock Cross and his dog is a Cŵn Annwn named Lamont. Lamont is quiet, sassy, and loved dearly by Doc.
-Hanna typically doodles on himself with a marker. He draws nonsensical scribbles and fake tattoos, in the hopes that one day he will actually get tattoos. It's a long ways off as Doc has basically told Hanna he can't until he's 18.
-Despite Hanna's last name being Worth, he uses the Cross family symbol. He refuses to use the Worth one. The Cross family symbol is, unsurprisingly, a cross but can be seen also as an x or a +, depending on size and orientation.
-Hanna does most of the chores around the house. Doc can cook and clean, although his cooking leaves something to be desired, he's just lazy about it. Hanna likes to cook, in fact he enjoys it a lot and it's a good way to channel is energy. He's learned through various terrible mistakes (mostly caused by his impulsive nature) how to make something taste and look good although his ideas can seem a bit chaotic.

Black Dog Reapers

Origins
The Black Dog Reapers started out as a group of reapers who each had a familiar that was some version of a dog, most of which were black. The majority of them were Grim Reapers and because they didn't have the traditional scythe, they all decided to band together and ended up sticking around in this one part of the human world. Eventually, they and their dogs gained some notoriety in that area and the group decided to pass on what they knew, creating the group to what they are today. Most families who are Black Dog reapers can trace their lineage to one of the original members, although there are a few families who don't apply to this.

Culture
Black Dogs Reapers are a set of reapers who typically work exclusively in what we know as the British Isles. While a rather varied group in beliefs and looks due to the amount of different people who started the group, the group tends to lean towards being peaceful, if just hardworking and dedicated to the jobs they've laid out for themselves.

While the group is quite spread out, on the whole the Reapers tend to work together, with there being strong bonds between the communities (except for a few, odd outlying ones). Communities often join up to create a bigger pool of reapers and conduct meetings together to get a better idea on their work progress in the human world.

The Black Dogs
The familiars of the reapers are always black dogs, no exceptions. However, their coloration is not always that of being a literal black dog. Black dogs come in many shapes, sizes, and even colors. They just have to adhere to being one of the dogs in the myths that humans fear, of which the reapers in this group know a lot about.

Their dog is summoned at a young age, preferably when the child is old enough to know how to maintain their familiar, and often they grow with the reaper.

The Human World and The Black Dog Reapers
The Black Dog Reapers, as stated before, only work in one select part of the human world (The British Isles) due to the effectiveness of their familiars in the area. They aren't detained to this section, it's just easier for them to work there.

Often they go in groups of two to four, each with dogs that are same in appearance or appear in the same area. They deal with keeping the myths of these dogs alive, allowing them to roam around and generate FEAR. Some go into bars and spread stories of seeing the dogs out in the wild, others bait teens into dares of seeing the dogs themselves.

Misc.
While not an official uniform, for members are free to wear whatever they want, most if not all Black Dog Reapers tend to wear mostly blacks, greys, whites and a pop of accentuating color that the reaper chooses. Accessories usually include fake fur and family symbols that correspond to which of the reapers they descended from. While the mainly black uniform started as a way to better blend into the background in the human world, it's now simply a tradition that's carried on.

PeanutButterPies

Hey there! I really enjoy your quest! A few things to note:

Species > At first I was a little confused because Black Dog to me refers to the Black Dog / Barghest ghost, but then I read your post about the origin and it made much more sense!

Regarding where they are located - there shouldn't be any ties to the human world, so saying that they work exclusively in the British Isles is a no-go. This splinter group of reapers can certainly exist, and I find their history very well thought out, but your reaper shouldn't have any ties at all / memories / experience / anything to do with the human world. Students at Amityville usually have zero idea of what goes on in the human world, and if they are ghosts or undead, they lose their memories of their experiences there.

Nat ability > Seems good! I am amused by the idea of people running into him accidentally...

Familiar > /thumbs up

FEAR > I think this is okay!

Overall, seems like a very nice quest! Best of luck to you! C:
