It had been a long day. A very long day. Not only was her head hurting her again, but some jerk decided it was a-okay to use her current home's wall as a dump-and-go. The smell was starting to cause a gag reflex. But do you think she let that show? No. The lioness' expression was blank with a tough of somber. This had been the second time, it was disheartening really. If it wasn't for the deep indent of the cave she would have woken up to the smell of feces sooner. Maybe she would go for a run. That always made life more bearable, at least for a little while. Runs made her what she was today. A lean, muscled, fighting machine. If her muscles didn't scare others off then her markings certainly did. Not that she minded, she loved her patterned fur. The design made her wonder what her past was like. Damia shook her head snorted at the unpleasant "present" at her door and headed outside.

Xolile was out on a quest. It was a very important quest, and it had only just begun. In her pride, the final test to become an adult involved finding a precious stone that matched the profession that the lion wished to go in to. That would have been a hard enough challenge - there were lots of rocks out in the rouge lands! - but each stone was rather rare and difficult to find. She was on the hunt for red jasper which was found in a forest a few days walk from the pride. So, she was off, only on day two of her journey. So far it hadn't been too bad: she had slept during the day and traveled at night, and today was no different.
