Treading softly but quickly, Nisha felt a slight bought of panic rising within her. As of late, the rains hadn't touched her pride lands, and the waters were slowly receding. No one was really talking about it, but everyone knew that something was wrong. She could feel it in the air, and the various possibilities worried her, especially since they had just welcomed new cubs.

As a scout, she felt a bit responsible; should she have noticed sooner? Should she have started making journies like this earlier? Nisha wasn't even entirely sure what she was looking for whenever she wandered further from her pride lands; hope, maybe. Dark clouds on the horizon, or maybe a place that could temporarily sustain the pride if times got harder. So far, she had only ever found dry earth beneath her paws and clear skies overhead. She felt like an injured antelope with a pride of lionesses circling around her, losing hope with each setting sun.

Coming to a stop, the hybrid took in a deep breath. She had been so caught up in her own worries that she hadn't been keeping an eye on her surroundings; basic scouting skills, slipping away as she let panic take over. She was better than this, and she knew she shouldn't let some slight troubles get to her. At the end of the day, they were a pride, and they'd figure something out. Her golden eyes looked around, debating whether she had gone far enough today. She was a little surprised that she hadn't run into anyone yet, but maybe that was for the best.

Nisha wasn't going to be alone for much longer as a creamy white and red leopon stumbled around in frustration. He seemed intent at clawing his was through a couple bushes before turning away with anger and picking at a rock instead.

Where was it?! He wondered with a snarl. He normally wasn't this tense. The last time he had been so tense was when he had lost one of his most precious treasures to a swamp. Ooo, had that riled him up! Though it wasn't anger he displayed then but rather fear over having lost such a priceless thing. It was later that he was anger, and at nobody but himself. Just like now.

How was he to react when he had gone and lost an entire collection of precious items? He used to know exactly where every deposit of his treasure were, but now he couldn't seem to remember where any of them were! It might have been his boss' fault, he'd been busy the past few weeks plowing "how-to-be-a-guard" training into Mzuka's brain so that he wouldn't screw up again while protecting the borders of the cult. Stupid wild dog... At least he wasn't a lion. Mzuka hated lions, particularly when they were empowered, thinking they could run a whole nation by themselves and blah blah blah.

Something alerted the leopon of another in the area, and turning he attempted to soften his expression and appear more friendly. He came off as almost guilty, but friendly, in his own mind. Oh gods was there a pride around here? He couldn't remember when he buried his treasure but there was wasn't there? He was digging where a pride was! Oh joy!
