it was a warm day, and thankfully Nawiri's shoulder wasn't causing her an immense amount of pain. Everyone once in a while, the twinges would start up, but otherwise, the day was going spendidly. There was a small coat of fur draped around her shoulders that kept any bursts of cold away from the injury.
All in all, so far it was a pretty decent day.

Diya's head had stopped throbbing days ago, but his ego still smarted from his rather crushing defeat from the challenger. It had been pure luck that had ensured his defeat but still it smarted. How dare that foolish male defeat him? Diya was an amazing fighter, and the male had waltzed in and won. There was no way that was skill. No way!
The male strode through the pride, muscles ripping and slightly sore from the grueling workout that he had put himself through just hours before. He huffed, grumpier than he should have been

It has taken Nawiri almost bumping into the male to notice him. He had been about to walk across her path - she really didn't need to make another reaver in the pride angry at her. That jerk Bjorn had snapped at her and she hadn't even touched him! The thought of that male made her fume.
And the other had already looked angry. "Oh excuse me," she said politely, taking a step back for him to pass more easily.

Her bumping into him startled him out of his huff, and he blinked, staring at her with a look of confusion on his face. He hadn't even noticed her. Was he that caught up in his annoyance? That annoyed him more than his original loss had! Diya would not get caught up in emotions. That was not the person he wanted to be. Ever. He would not be ruled by his emotions. "No harm done. It would take more than someone of your size to injur me." It was an attempt to salve his already fragile ego, though he wasn't sure how she would react to his comment. He was bulky, muscled, and therefore inpervious to injury by a women. Clearly.
Seaki
She took another step back, sizing him up a bit. "You are quite large," she purred, appreciatively. He hadn't really snapped at her when she bumped into him. "And quite strong, I imagine," She could butter him up and he'd probably leave her alone feeling quite pleased with himself.
And it didn't hurt to flirt a little, of course. She did want strong cubs, and she was looking for a strong man to father her cubs. So far it was Bjorn, that jerk, and some a few freeborns and thralls that she had come across.
Velveteen Angel
Diya was startled by her reaction. He was sure he was going to get argued with, but instead, she complimented him. Had he been really paying attention, he might have realised she was buttering him up but, his ego already fragile, he was instantly flattered. He preened, flexing his muscles underneath his fur slightly, making it ripple as he stood in place. "I am one of the strongest fighters here," he boasted with a wink. It might not have been true, but he would be some day! He was aiming for captain soon, and he wasn't planning to stop there after all.
Seaki
Nawiri gave a bright smile at his boasting. He could be just pulling her leg - bluffing to make himself look larger and better than he was. "Oh, I don't doubt that," she agreed. If her shoulder wasn't bad, she would spar him just to test his skill, but alas!
And male egos were so easily crushed, she didn't want to say anything to piss him off. "You're very solid, like a stone. You must be quite the force to reckon with."
Velveteen Angel
Diya grinned, his own smile picking up at hers. She was rather pretty, he would have to admit. Her coat was a lovely shade, and she seemed well structured. "I can take on any enemy," he assured her. "I am powerful force for this pride. I would hate to not protect our own," he explained, with a wink. He was determined to make a name for himself, which often led to him not really making friends in the pride, so set in his ways on training and sparring, but what was the harm of boasting a little? He was amazing, no one could (or SHOULD) deny that.
"Do you fight, little lady?" He asked, wondering if she too was a warrior. She might have been, but he wasn't sure, as a female, that she would be very good at it.
Seaki
"Oh, I don't fight so much," feeling a little flustered that the attention was suddenly turned on her. She was a crafter - a simple freeborn. "I spar sometimes, of course, but I don't go out there to fight," she said, referring to the lands beyond the pride's walls.
Of course, she didn't spar very often due to her shoulder. "I am an artisan, by trade, though." She wanted to fidget. "But the Reavers have the important job," she attempted to direct the attention back to him. "I'd like to know more of your prowess."
Velveteen Angel
Diya nodded, his ideas confirmed that, while pretty, she wasn't a fighter. That was good. The pride needed those to take care of the pride, and not all could be as amazing as some of the Reavers, like himself. "Sparring is good exercise," he mused. Just because they were bound only for the pride didn't really give the freeborns the excuse to be lazy. They were still Storm Born and should live up to that name.
He was curious about her crafts, but her attempt to twist the conversation back to him work perfectly, because he was nothing if not a bit vain at the moment. "You might just get the chance some time," he responded with a grin. "What is your name?"
Seaki
She gave a small giggle, cheerful about distracting him away from asking too much about her. "I'm called Nawiri," she looked up at him, gave him a small, near teasing smile. "Perhaps you could show me now, handsome."
