Hans peered at his reflection in the ice in front of him gazing for any sign of disorder, any sign that his appearance was less than perfect. His fur was well groomed, his claws sharp and clean, his mane tidy, his smile genuine. He was a lion of many masks and he settled one naturally over his expression. His aim was to appear charming, sincere, but harmless.

There. That's the one, he thought, pleased.

It wasn't difficult for him. He'd had plenty of practice after all, plenty of time to figure out how to act, how to speak, walk, sound the way he wanted to. The past had taught him the necessity for these things so that he could achieve his goals. For more than anything in the world, Hans wanted one thing.

Hans wanted power. He wanted a place to call his. Not just a home to belong to, a place that he could control. After all, he was a prince. This is what he was born to do.

Once he was satisfied with his appearance, he smiled his best smile and left his den. He was on his way to meet with Queen Elsa.

The Queen was often found in the main part of the Frozen Isle, visiting with her people in their homes and in the gathering areas where they liked to relax. She enjoyed speaking with them, and though she was generally always well guarded, today she had come out on her own. She would not be surprised to know that Ezen was nearby, somewhere, and she just could not see him, but as far as she actually knew, she was just on her own.

There was one set of eyes watching her, from a great distance, high above the pridal lands today. But he would not interfere in her life, not directly. Not unless that life was in danger of being lost.

The drama and complications of mortal life were not for a God to trifle with. At least not this God.

Humming to herself, feeling good and confident today, Elsa padded along the worn path. Many lions walked through this way, so there was almost a road made from their constant footfalls. It was an easier path to walk than some of the icier areas, though she had no trouble with ice. She did not spot Hans heading in her direction, though they were walking along the same path.
