[PRP] Taking in the Sights (Ayane x Lute)

Ayane had stood in the mirror in her bathroom for at least an hour before she'd mentally psyched herself up enough to say - yes - she had put on her kimono properly all by herself. She had had to make a few adjustments here and there, but so far it seemed to be holding up. It was one of her less formal ones, so the hem of the thing only came up to her knees and the sleeves to her elbow, but it was still warm enough out that it shouldn't be too much of a problem. She had grabbed her fan, her purse and eyePhone and had run to the Carnival going on - close enough to a festival back home to make her want to dress the part.

She had hit up a few of the booths before finally she had taken a break to fix her sandle strap since it was digging into her foot a little. She hadn't worn these particular ones in some time, so they needed a bit of coaxing.

Looking at her eyePhone she clicked her tongue. She wasn't really feeling like trolling the booths foor too long and the food area looked a bit... Well - there were too many birds for her liking to be honest.

Hey, ghoulfriend! Mind meeting me outside the food/rest area so you can show me around the Carnival? I don't want to get lost and there are lots of creatures here!

She felt a little bad about demanding Lute's attention but at the same time she was pretty much her ONLY friend right now.

Lute had a handful of things from various booths by the time she got a text. After a skillful maneuver she was picking her phone out of pocket and smiling. She had wondered where the ghoul had gone and was rather excited to show off the bean bat she had won, and her new bear.

Because they were totally awesome, Lute's fingers sent off a rapid text before she kicked herself into high gear to meet up with her friend. A spider danging from her horn from the bug booth she had last been in.

As she approached it was easy to spot her pretty friend even over the crowd of other creeple. Calling out softly, she managed to get to Aya's side, "I-i'm here..look.." Her hands presented the prizes proudly.

Ayane took in the sight of Lute as one would expect a friend might, her gaze brightened, her eyes grew wider with joy and she gazed excited at the prizes that Lute had managed to obtain and had offered for her to pass judgement on.

"Oh they are just lovely!" Ayane said, her fan, still closed as she saw no need to open it quite yet, pressed against her chest. "Though I have to say that seeing you so happy and excited about it all is the best part!"

Her tone was - motherly wasn't quite the right word. There was a SMALL hint of the maternal, but it was more... passionate. She was passionate about Lute's happiness. She seemed to be completely ecstatic that Lute was having a good time.

"I am particularly fond of the bat!" She grinned, pointing her fan at the thing before moving it to the bear. "But I have to say the bear wins the show by far." She smiled at Lute. "You have such keen sense of fashion!" She thought the bear was just amazing.

Holding her arm out lightly she smiled. "So would you like to escort me and show me around?" She giggled. "A date for just you and me."

She didn't of course - mean date in the romantic sense, but just two friends hanging out.

Ayane's words were always so kind, she really was a great friend. Beaming proudly Lute shifted and held her bear out to the other ghoul, "would you like..like-e it?" Even though Ayane could obviously make her own, Lute really wanted to give her something and since she seemed to love it so much she wanted to give it to her.

If the bear had been received or even rejected Lute would go on to take her hand in a blush. A date, of course she knew that Aya meant it in a friendly sense the word was still just so embarrassing. Holding tight she started them towards the main row of booths. "Where would you lik-ke to go first, maybe try for a b-bat too?" Did Aya play games? Lute wasn't sure but she'd be thrilled to help her with the ones she was already familiar with.

Ayane grinned at Lute when she offered the bear, taking it in her other hand she squeezed it tight to her chest. "Thank you! I'll cherish it forever!" She made a note to make sure to put the bear somewhere Lute could see it when she came to visit next. It was important to let friends known that they were appreciated even if it was through their gifts.

She gave lute's hand a squeeze and leaned into her a little. "Lead the way! I'm not really much of the game playing type - but I'll watch a few of the games and see if they tickle my fancy." She smiled. "I'm just glad to have time to spend with you."

Ayane reaction couldn't have been better, Lute felt over the moon that her friend had liked the gift. It made her really want to give her other friends gifts as well, just to see if they would be equally as thrilled. Smiling from ear to floppy ear she nodded and allowed the other ghoul to lean into her as they walked.

"Me too, it-t's nice to be out.." Looking at the ground as she shuffled along with Aya, Lute only peered up from time to time to see what they were close to. Pausing at the bean bat booth she slowly turned rosy eyes up to the demoness. "This one..is-s pretty easy." Beaming she wiggled slightly to get free of Aya, then help explain the rules to her as they waited their turn at the booth.

Keeping the bear close to her with one arm, Ayane let Lute lead her around the carnival. When they reached the bat booth she smiled and nodded at Lute. "You play..." She said quietly. "I'll just watch."

She really wasn't in the mood to play the games she just wanted to hang out with Lute and have fun with her friend. She was actually really excited about the present she'd gotten from Lute. An actual first for her. She'd never really gotten presents from anyone but family members before.

So it was super special - yes. She was actually kind of reluctant to let go of Lute's and but she couldn't play without both her hands she figured so after a moment of pause and a squeeze, she let go of the other ghoul.

Lute chuckled softly, all in all a little disappointed and even slightly pouting up to Ayane when she refused to play. But she did like the game and really wanted to collect all the shiny toys from it. She was kind of like other monsters in that sense, she loved collecting things she liked. Be it toys or fabric pieces, one could find a random number of collections in the ghouls dorm.

A moment to focus and Lute started the game, cheering a little to herself at each hit. At the end of the game the stump of a tail she had was wagging in delight. Clutching a new little toy she presented it proudly for Ayane to see. "S-so cute, right?" The pink haired ghoul giggled before tucking it under her arm, hand free she grabbed back onto Ayane with a large grin.

Pulling the other ghoul deeper into the carnival on a question of, "what next?" Lute was having a fantastic time, and in the fun losing the stutter her anxiousness brought.

Ayane smiled, she was really glad that Lute was having a good time. By proxy she was enjoying herself. Mainly because it was really hard to do too much activity in this outfit without showing too much of her thighs in the process. Had she really wanted to play the games she would have chosen a longer kimono, but as it was - she just wanted to spend time with her friend.

"Lead on, I'll go anywhere you want to show me." She grinned at her friend poking her on the nose playfully. "Your tail is cute when you're happy by the way."

Oh she had enjoyed watching the other ghoul's... "tail." Yes, yes she had.

Lute blinked then looked behind her at the wiggling appendage. Oh. That, sometimes it was pretty easy to forget about it back there. A small little laugh came and she shook her head at Ayane. Her friend was sort of strange to find it cute but at least she didn't think it was weird because it was so small. Smiling she pulled the other ghoul towards another booth.

This one was to do with strength, and fairly straightforward, you just picked the mallet up and smacked the stand.

Lute knew she wouldn't get to far with it but she wanted to try. Picking up the mallet she stumbled a few steps back then lifted it, "unm" on a little noise of struggle she hit the stand. Watching as it barely went up and then blushed. "Heh.." Chuckling she glanced shyly back to Ayane and smiled towards the stand runner as he slipped her a consolation prize. "If you get hungry, we can go eat something?" She didn't mind either if Ayane wanted to leave the carnival for that either.

Ayane smiled at the other ghoul and bowed her head. "You did your best though, I bet it's rigged!" She said, keeping her voice down and making a face as she motioned at the strength tester. She didn't care if Lute couldn't lift a mountain. Physical strength meant very little to her if she was going to be completely honest. Power could be obtained through other means if necessary and she felt that going to physical violence was a means of last resort.

Or something that came about when fueled with the proper level of righteous indignation and rage.

But that was neither here nor there. She shook her head and looked back toward the food area and tried to remain upbeat. "Would you be offended if i took you out to lunch instead of eating here?" She asked with a slightly pained expression. "There are just... too many... you know..." She made a motion of flapping with her hands.

It wasn't that she hated or was scared of the feathered and flying minis. It was that she didn't want to deal with the aftermath and interruption that they would bring if they tried to get at their food.

Lute's head tilted at the motion, for a moment she was lost, at least until a winged mini came into view. On a sweet laugh she shook her head, it made sense though since having lunch interrupted would be a pain. Moving back towards Ayane she held out a hand to her and a bright smile. Trying to mask the hope that the other ghoul had somewhere small and quite in mind, since larger fancier places weren't really comfortable for her.

Not to mention Lute wasn't one of those ghouls that didn't like to eat. She loved food, especially sweets and knew somewhere nicer wouldn't give her enough for what silver seeds she had to spend on lunch. "..That'll be fine, ready?"
